mdshell:How is Peter Obi credible? What did he do in Anambra? What was the IGR when he took office, what was the IGR when he left? A man who could not even stick to an oath he took freely, a man who didn’t resign when Athere was dollar rain in 2019 because it wasn’t his own money, now talking about dollar rain. Abeg don’t let me start on Peter Obi |
mdshell:Tell us the record of your candidate stop insulting people, all Nigerian politicians are dirty, your candidate himself is not clean, was there not dollar rain when he was Vp candidate in 2019, did he leave them? He didn’t leave because of dollar rain, he left because he knew he could win, he left because he knew Wike was gaining traction, he left so he won’t be disgraced. I would rather vote for a corrupt candidate who can deliver prosperity than a so called clean man who thinks it is a good thing to hoard money and not pay teachers, build roads etc there are all sorts of i frasructure deficits. A man who hoards money only for his successor to steal it all is not a good manager. A man who starts with $3 creates $10 and pockets even $5 is better than a man who has $3 and does not even do anything with it but, instead says look at my bank balance. After 8 years of Peter Obi, the IGR of Anambra went down…..these are the issues for a man who says he wants to create wealth!!!! |
mdshell:Go on northern Twitter, They are waiting for you in the North. They say they want to remind you that you called them cows, zombies etc |
chrisxxx:. The fact that you call people Zombies when you need votes shows the problem with Obi supporters. You have nothing to show so you resort to insults. Market your guys, showcase his accomplishments, if we query them, convince us we are wrong. But calling us Zombies will never get you a single vote. Don’t forget we don’t need your votes, you are the underdogs, you are the ones who need votes. Our votes are secure, you are the one sharing votes with Atiku. I have never seen where you insult someone and they vote for you. Sometimes you can even vote against a candidate you may be inclined to vote for because of the people around him. |
Moferere:The man raised a lot of sensible points but the problem with Obi supporters is that instead of them trying to sell their candidate and point to his record they insult, abuse and shout. That’s not how you win votes. I have said it because the Obi hype does not match his track record, they have nothing to sell. The more they insult, abuse and shout, trying to force people to accept their candidate, The more he turns into a religious and tribal candidate. 4,5 and 6 will prove the undoing of the Obi campaign. They can’t but deploy 4,5,6 because besides his record on education in Anambra, Peter Obi has nothing to show. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:There are already turning this into a tribal religious candidate, ensuring he will lose |
Peter Obi is good for APC. the people that will vote peter Obi are people that will not have voted for APC and would either have stayed at home or voted for PDP. All Obi does is dilute the Atiku vote. So long as APC get the right VP (IMHO a Muslim) they cant lose. |
Gerrard59:If the Christian in Bayelsa or Aba will vote for Tinubu if he fields a Christian VP, then he is incentivized to field a Christian VP because he will lose many Northern votes to Atiku if he fields a Christian VP. And that is the point, you don’t trust him and will not vote for him even with a Christian VP so what does he have to gain by selecting a Christian VP? Northern Christians are a minority, you don’t alienate the majority for the sake of a minority. Elections are about winning, the same reason PDP chose a northern candidate when they should pick a southern candidate is the same reason APC must field a Muslim Muslim ticket to win. If you don’t like it and religion matters so much to you please go ahead and vote Peter Obi and stop disturbing us. |
Obagreatdatoye:Tell me how Osinbajo as VP prevented killings of Christians and let the world know who is the real oponu! |
Na osinbajo suffer pass. Nobody will trust him again!! |
teewety:No problem vote for Atiku or Obi, we know you are here to demarket . The people who are goi g to vote for Tinubu will vote for him. The Christians that care about this nonsense are not Tinubu supporters to begin with. The bottom line is the Christians APC will lose with Muslim Muslim ticket are either not going to vote for him to start and even if he loses some they are not enough to offset the northern Muslims he will gain or retain with a Muslim Muslim ticket. A ppoliticoan is in politics to win. For APC Muslim Muslim is the winning formula. I am a Christian and I endorse Muslim Muslim, just balance it with Christian senate president and Christian speaker. A Vice President has no constitutional power, a senate president and speaker are more powerful than a Vice President. A Vice President can’t do anything to stop your imaginary Muslim agenda because he has no powers. A Christian senate president and speaker can protect Christians from this imaginary Muslim agenda because the president cannot do anything without the approval of parliament. |
Beverlyjean:What power does a Vice President have? |
noleflendum:Abi o!!! |
DMerciful:The worst thing to happen to Obi's political career was leaving PDP. Now he is in a fix, he cant win with Labour because no matter how many voyes he manages to get from Ibos and youths, he will never get constitutional requirement of 25 percent of the votes in 24 states and unfortunately he has gained so much momentum and followership that he cant back down. |
Somebody who couldn’t win his election advising the Jagaban |
blacknoir:The people taking you for granted are your pastors. And please don’t group the rest of us with you, yes we all purport to worship Christ but if you ask any neutral that is not afraid to speak his mind, they will tell you anglicans,Methodists, Catholics etc are different from Pentecostals. To begin with we are more moral and loyal, we don’t go changing churches because we are seeking favour, blessing etc. Pentecostals are transactional by nature. Just as Boko Haram doesn’t represent Muslims. |
Ojuntana:See o people, he asked me to name benefits of SP or speaker, I gave him 3 just to warm up. I asked him to name 1 benefit of VP, just 1 o, he can’t!! In the end upon all the noise from our educated southern Pentecostal Christians “Feel good” is all they have, just to know a Christian is there even if a Christian that can’t do anything . See o this is what Pentecostal pastors have turned Awolowo’s educated south into o!!!! May I suggest you take some money from your tithes and buy hundreds of mannequins, dress them like pastors and place them in strategic places in the villa so you have representation. Because each has as much power as a Vice President. That way you will surely increase your representation!!!! Jesus wept!!!! |
VERDA:Are you an almajiris who hasn’t been to school who hasn’t been enlightened. One can understand them, what is your excuse Shame on you!!!!! Upon all your education and enlightenment this is how you think? Can you not see what you have done to yourselves? Upon all your so called exposure that your mindset is no different from the uneducated and unexposed? Pathetic!!!!!! |
Ojuntana:If you don’t realize you are making a fool of yourself, be rest assured sensible people reading this can. I asked you to name 1. Just 1 power of the VP that protects you as a Christian against a Muslim president since you have been programmed to believe this imaginary war between the religions. If you can’t I advice you STFU, and start to read books and engage your brain. I am not replying unless you have something intelligent to say or can tell me the power of the VP that you so crave. Needless to say you won’t be hearing from me again because you are incapable of either. As a Christian myself, you people just give Christians a bad name. The only thing separating you fro Bono haram and the likes is that the damage you do is not physical or violent but be under no illusion, the damage your brand of Christianity does to the psyche has far more dangerous even if subtle. |
Ojuntana:I already gave you 3 in my opening post but typical brain dead or In sleep mode Pentecostals are too driven by religious agenda to see anything. Budgets, changing the laws of the land, creating new agencies, confirmation of ministers and other appointments e.g ambassadors, agencies and MDAs. Practical examples 1). A senate president or speaker can say well this budget you want to pass favours Muslims, we want the equivalent for Christians or we won’t pass the bill. 2) senate president can say this minister or EFCC boss or blah blah you have sent for confirmation is not acceptable to Christians send somebody else. 3) senate president or speaker can say this law you want to pass or this agency you want to create is not acceptable to Christians and we won’t pass it, they can even decide not to even debate it in extreme circumstances. The VP can’t do any of these things and these are the things that affect you. Now it is your turn to tell me 1 power the VP has that protects your interests as a Christians or acts as a counter to the president? |
Ojuntana: VERDA:I have just called you out for being brain dead and you proceed to make further brain dead posts? If we did not learn anything from Saraki’s tenure as SP, we learnt the power of the legislature. But then you people are not in the business of engaging your brains. You rather a VP that has absolutely no constitutional power just so he can go around commissions projects like a boy-boy like Osinbajo. Is it the same powerless VP position whose staff were removed from him without notice, that you are fighting for? What exactly does a VP do for you? Until you can answer that and outline what power he has to do anything for Christians and under what law ,I am done here. You guys keep proving with every post just how few grey cells are left in you.. May an abundance of dumb voters not derail or collective futures…better say Amen!!! |
blacknoir:Don’t confuse your “reality” with the reality of others. ThT you care about religion does not mean the next man should. That religion is a big factor for you does not mean it should be for others. Opinion is not fact. They are brain dead people that have developed a sense of entitlement and favour as evidenced by the fact that they thought they could install Osinbajo as president without any delegates or political structure or a pastor who thinks he can send text messages to delegates because he had a vision that he will be the 16th president……..amongst other numerous daily evidence of “brain turn to jelly syndrome” we see in our day to day lives. |
blacknoir:Your posts just prove what I said. You have displayed strategic intelligence for your cause, the Christians who display intelligence and independent thinking tend not to be Pentecostal. Unfortunately you were trying to use your intelligence and be manipulative and take advantage of a situation to manipulate brain dead Pentecostals for your own agenda which is to elect Obi. Nothing wrong g with that, it’s the game. I applaud you for your intelligence even though you’ve been busted but at least you have shown intelligence, something the teeming population of Pentecostals lack in droves!!!! |
blacknoir:What if the VP dies? But now you have gotten to your destination after navigating different roundabouts. Basically you are a Peter Obi supporter and that was where you were heading all along. Since you are an Obi supporter you are not my audience. But I will also tell you that Obi even if by a miracle he manages to get 25% in 24 states, he will have the same problems he had in Anambra with a senate and house full of opposition parties. He won’t be able to get anything done and they will hijack his presidency. |
OriOko88:There is no point in fighting for a position that has absolutely no power, when you can leverage it to instead gain positions that have real power. After all I wrote you still come here to confirm what I said about the IQ of Pentecostal Christians in Nigeria. A Christian VP cannot stop a president from doing anything, he has no powers. But if you trade the VP slot for Christian senate president and Christian speaker, then Christians have power but your dumbed down IQ will not let you see the obvious because you have been programmed to pray for things instead of engaging the brain God have you. |
I have said it many times, that the ultimate effect of Pentecostal Christianity is the lowering of the IQ of the typical Pentecostal Christian, inability to use our brains, to think. The same Pentecostal Christians when you asked them what was Osinbajo’s achievement as a VP, they will tell you he has no power, the same Christians who insist on a Christian VP will tell you Osinbajo cannot be blamed for Buhari’s govt because the VP has no power. It is true, the VP has no constitutional power. But these same Christians insist on a Christian VP to run with Tinubu, I don’t know what they think a man with no power will do for them, what did Osinbajo do for Christians as VP? Did Osinbajo who is not just a Christian but a pastor as VP stop Owo massacre or Fulani herdsmen? A thinking man knows that if you have a Muslim president and a Christian VP (with no powers) then they can also allocate the Senate presidency and possibly also the speakership to a Muslim. A thinking man knows that the speaker and the senate president have more powers than the VP. A thinking man knows the presidency cannot do anything without approval of the senate and the house, you cannot pass budgets, approve ministers or change the laws. A thinking man would say ok we will give you Muslim/Muslim, but christians must be senate president and speaker where real power lies. Unfortunately Nigerian christians are not thinking people. Their pastors have reduced their brains to no better than the almajiris, the only difference is they wear suits but their brains are empty!!! I hope you can all see now when I say Pentecostal Christianity has damaged the brains of Nigerian Christians and their ability to think. Cc: @blacknoir |
VERDA:. Because it was already apparent from his intro that his post was based on emotion/ dogma, hatred, indoctrination rather than intellect. The VP you ignoramuses are shouting about has no power constitutionally, the same morons who when we asked what was Osinbajo’s achievement in office, or he was part of Buhari’s poor regime will tell you he had no power! it just shows how dumb our southern Christians have become. A senate president and speaker have more powers than a VP. But if you tell these morons that those positions will go to Christians to balance the equation and that they are better positions for Christians to occupy than the VP, they will still be arguing!! |
VERDA:I’m sorry I didn’t read your entire post. I read the 1st few bits and I couldn’t proceed. Bottom line is this, we are supposedly more educated and enlightened in the south and that education and enlightenment should be reflected in our thinking. The irony is that it is the northern educated brothers that are actually reflecting the mindset of educated and enlightened. Our southern educated Christians behave like people who have never left their villages. It is understandably for the less educated and enlightened to thinks in terms of primordial and religious sentiment, what is the excuse of the educated? What is the benefit of your education is you ultimately cannot rise above these primitive sentiments? Bottom line is the party needs to win an election, only the Muslims in the north can give them the votes. Christians do t have enough block votes to overcome the votes that will be lost with a Christian VP. Let us in the south engage our brains and show we are truly educated and enlightened not just able to regurgitate at exams! There are ways to counter the “fears” of Christians. There are 3 arms of government, none can function without the other. If the executive is Muslim Muslim, then the senate president and speaker can go to Christians. They can even go as far as making the Chief Justice a Christian when the current tenure expires Please stop all this nonsense you are supposed to be above all this crap! |
VERDA:Please don’t give the SE as an example of cohesion and mistrust. Why always them? Cohesion cannot be on your terms. Instead look at the SW, after 50 years in opposition, they reached out to the North at great political risk and in return it was the north that was championing the cause of the SW even when the SW was at risk of imploding from within. The more we hold on to tribe and religion the more these things hold us back. Let it go!!! |
VERDA:The people who deliberately cause mistrust, will cause mistrust even if you give them a Christian Christian ticket. They are the ones who have always held our country back. At some time you have to decide to leave them at the station and get on with your journey. When they are ready to make the journey they will take the next train. |
ebbo:. Exactly, They are too naive to realize they are helping Apc by removing the SE vote from Atiku. We continue to encourage them to be obidient. They were never going to vote for APC anyway. |
ebbo:They are all excited about Peter Obi, all of them are in the south. The majority of the Obi fans are in Lagos and the SE they forget that you need to get 25% in 24 states. I wish them good luck with that. |
