I hope GEJ knows that a borrower is a slave to the lender. We just keep mortgaging our future to all these countries. What is $1b that we should be going cap in hands to borrow, with all the strings attached? Just gather ten people out of all the officials that has been freely looting our money and put them under serious pressure, they will cough out more than that. |
Policewoman: Was it not Chidi Lloyd that was shown in the video, planking a fellow member with a stick looking like the mace? How come he is now playing victim? You go fear personal report nah. See his response "so we went back and I took the mace where they were sitting, then I sustained injury as a result of the violence by Michael Chinda and Evans Bipi.” He did not say what he did with the mace, God bless the video camera guy that shot the whole scene. The video showed him clubbing his fellow 'honorable' with the massive mace, with blood flowing freely from the dude's gashed head. You will even wonder if this guy was a wood hewer before he became an 'honorable' going by the way he used both hands to smash his colleagues's head. Honestly, i don't have any pity for these guys that can do anything for free money. They are all touts and compulsive liars! |
A fuller story! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI3wU4jZRCQ
This makes more sense. The funny thing here is how each camp will come into the chamber, organize their own madness and leave, the other camp comes back in, organize theirs and leave again, all in the same day. Like they are democratically taking turns to exhibit their thuggery. ![]() What a mad day for the legislooters of Rivers!!! Mehn, na their way sha. Naija politicians are experienced thugs. |
You know the funny thing is that because we've been wowed with Oliseh's analyses on SS, we tend to take everything he says hook, line and sinker. Asides Osaze, which everybody knows was not in the right frame of mind to be allowed inside the dressing room, and Ik Uche who surprisingly had a huge dip in form recently, can Oliseh name another top 3 strikers, or even 2, in Europe's top league that Keshi failed to bring into the team. Mind you, Ideye and Musa that squandered all our chances are all foreign based! Moses and Emenike were absent because of injury, I believe Keshi made the best out of the materials he had available. Can Oliseh tell me clearly that if we had the last two guys available at the Confed. Cup that there wouldn't have been a far better performance from the team? It's just that failure is an orphan, and it's more so painful when you look at what could have been. This much maligned team held down the Spanish team at par, just that poor finishing was their bane. In as much as criticism is good for better performance, i don't think this is worth it this time. |
Can't Nigeria lease the prisons for 100 years tenure? We have over-capacity here and they are growing astronomically. Minister of Interior and his Foreign affairs counter part should work on a bilateral deal here, it's a great opportunity out there. |
elampiro: Hahaha, and who told you I am not into management level? Don't assume wrongly on nairaland.Oh man! I already said 'your head dey there' i know say you be oga@d top. lol That statement was actually a general one. |
elampiro: My guy, even if sound buses break down it is so illogical for a bank to use old ones. Infact it should be more reason to use very sound ones and travel in the day time.Your head dey there. For most corporate organisations, trips by flight is a given, even if you are doing Lag-Benin. My first air trip was when i just started work, on a short local trip at that, so it's not a big deal. I believe that having the road trip will serve as both for pleasure/bonding. In fact i wish my company will be arranging such trips bi-annually, i personally enjoy road trips, especially this one that is across the west African coast where you get to experience other cultures and languages, even if it is for a brief stop. The only issue i have with the report is on the use of rickety buses. They should have leased mint coaster buses if they didn't want to use the commercial operators, since their staff bus is out of depth. On the issue of cost, no management will ever sign to fly 100 people on such a trip. They will rather fly 20 people at the same cost! You will understand when you get into management. |
Tolexander: Nice move!Everybody just dey claim hacker. Even person wey no fit hack into an old woman's pot of soup. You don't announce your intent to hack. Just go in and hoist your signature first, the rest will be history. |
gbadexy: Op, you probably didn't fully comprehend the news or you probably just posted it anyways.Talking about the regular wind patterns, the one that hit Haiti recently, has it been happening prior to then or was there a deviation? These things defy regular patterns. Let the people and LASG start making preparations instead of this 'God no go allow am' mantra. |
Our Babalawos walk on bare foot for more than 10 miles. and here christian priests travel in pvt. jets. sikkkkkkkkk
Why won't they trek when their gods are trees and animals? Infact they will soon start crawling for 20miles. And you adherents will likely join them. |
jackbauersballs: Your Queen is a LearnerEven you sef na learner. Lol BlackBerry kingdom story was birthed in 2001 before GSM was even launched in Nigeria. Which year did RIM launch blackberry again? *BB shocked smiley* Simply preach the good news of Christ and bring people into the kingdom. All these ones are tales by moon light |
mitsaro: Nice one..i wish u could give my mother a call n tell her personally; she still stores up undies belonging to my father who died 5 years agoHahahahahha! You might just be my cousin o, cos your mumsy and mine are mutual species! As I was reading the stuff I was just laughing at the conversations I usually have with her anytime I visit her. She's got this penchant for preserving things. May be she'll open a museum one day. Lol |
plappville: .What is wrong with this Deeper life self, how can they condemned the use of limousine, gold etc on their wedding day....Sometimes you wonder from where people get the traditions they cling so dearly on. No wonder Jesus said 'by your traditions, you make the word of God of no effect' This is what happens when you use man-made laws to live a spiritual life, you end up hypocritical and confused. The law of the Spirit has nothing to do with what you wear on your wedding day. |
frosbel: The catholic church should sell their assets and gold reserves worth over 5 billion dollars and give the money to the poor, only then will we believe this so called church has changed.Don't mind Pope Francis. Dude lives in a walled Vatican city, fully independent of Italian government's taxation. If he declares the assets he controls, Forbes will apologize for all the Billionaire lists they've been publishing. If he truly cares for the poor, he knows what to do. Parish priests definitely deserve ordinary luxury cars, they've given up all just to serve God and humanity. |
coretechng: House please I dont get these things. If I put 1m at 11.5% for 91days for instance,I am getting 115,000naira in 90days time?Lol. Dude, we 4don all become billionaires if na like that Nah. The rate is per annum. Your 90days tenure represents a quart of the year. So your interest should be a quart of 115, around 26k for that duration. I ghotago now? |
eastermaris: Pls where do they get thier raw materials?I guess they import bulk and just bag it in that warehouse. That's what caused the fight btw Dangote and Ibeto during OBJ's govvt. You need to look for supply contract @Dangote's as he has full raw materials production capacity. Meanwhile that factory worker is acquiring death by installments, bagging cements bare-handed with plain shirt? And they say it's only the Chinese that enslave their workers? What exactly do all these HSE officers do? Methinks no factory should open shop without been certified compliant of all these occupational hazards policies. |
chei: I heard he graduated with a 3rd class? You are right. Hope you also heard he employs 1st class graduates to work for him? Lol It's strange how 21st Century folks still thinks success is solely a function of academic performance. What Tony is doing now is positioning himself for the next Power sector boom. |
Jarus: I'm not aware of any GM at 30. Except Ladi Balogun, Bella Adenuga whose fathers owned the banks and handed ED almsot straight from school.Hehehe. I was actually been conservative with 30. The one I know was GM at 28! Infact, you even know the person who made it happen. You can PM me if you need details. But then, such feats are even still rare these days. The next industry you guys should watch out for to produce very young CEOs is Mobile money. Sharp and coded henchmen had already cornered the operating licenses. It's still incubating, but check it out in the next decade. Meanwhile, if Seun turns the corner by taking NL from being a hobby to serious business before he hits 35, he could get it listed and become the young CEO of a multi-million bucks company. |
Jarus: Leaving at 46 after 11.5 years as MDSomeone described success as when preparation meets with opportunity. These guys and their generation of young Bank Entrepreneurs with courage and strong vision; Jim, fola, Tony, Peterside etc where fortunate to be around during the IBB era liberalization of banking license, with the requisite skills and mindset, coupled with the trust of some well heeled men of those days, they blazed the trail in their early 30s. Just like industrialization, everything has it's era. The much you can do in banking these days as a high flyer is to hit GM @30 if you are well networked. You can't even think of a bank as a start-up today. Where do you enter from? N25b? |
Rossikk: I wonder what Obama thinks of this..I'm just loving this. Let Obama also know that there are alternatives we are open to. I wish GEJ also tells him to give the $7b hand outs he announced to other nations only. We should be doing our own negotiations from a position of strength, and put the West under jitters too. |
ouigy99: Its a nice idea, but its being abused. I remember going to a cardiologist a few months ago, the bill was 80,000 (naira), and i wanted to feel like a "cashless" guy, and wanted to use their POS, only to be told by the cashier, that i would pay charges which was almost 3k (meaning i would be paying 83k). When i asked, i was told that since the bank (shares a common name with Andy "uba"That's a very wrong practice by your Cardiologist. The 1.25% MSC (Merchants service Charge) is supposed to be borne by the merchants/business owners and not customers. In your case of 80k, his charge will just be 1k but he was trying to pass 3k to you. Fact is that it is far cheaper for merchants to pay that, than to collect cash above the threshold, go to deposit in the bank and get slammed 3 or 5% |
I think Chamdor takes the cake currently. look out for it, price ranges between 800 and 1,500 depending on the location. Eva is a cheaper alternative at around 600 - 800 |
This what most of you are getting wrong. Ben 10 has a child as a major character unlike cartoons of olden days. Kids are bound to feel if Ben 10 can do this I can because they are in same age grade: if Ben 10 can disrespect his grandfather all the time, disobey rules, fight with his female cousin, beat up/destroy those whose ideals are different from his then they too the kids can. I have taught children below ten years and I was shocked at the actions they carry out which were imitations from media products. And to those of you claiming you turned out alright, all I have to say is that your choice of words in addressing someone whose opinion is different from yours connotes a violent tendency.
You are spot on with your last paragraph. You can't be saying you turned out right after watching violent/abusive cartoons as a kid when you can't express an opinion as an adult in a public forum with simple decorum. Truth is that media in any format is impressionable to all minds, whether kids or adults. We are all aware of how Al Pacino, in the movie 'Scarface' glamorously planted the f-word to millions of people's minds all over the world in the 90s. Advertising is a billion dollar industry because of it's power to sway your behavior, even as an adult. Tobacco/cigarette advertising had to be banned completely. As per the Ben 10 and the rest of them, I believe they should be rated PG13, unlike what is obtainable today in families where they are being fed to infants (under 5s). |
Google is the world's number one 'great place to work' and also sits on top of the 'fortune 50' companies. It ain't surprising seeing these pics. I went for one of their offers and it's looking good. |
When my kid, then as a 2year-old started slapping her wrist and trying to disappear, while not allowing me to watch football, or my wife watch her favorite series, we had to shut out Ben 10 permanently out of my home. I personally deem it too violent for under 10s, with absolutely no positives. big ups to the creators though, the franchise brings great merchandise. Now, they are permanently on 'Barney and friends' and loving it big time. At least they learn loads o rhymes and animals stuff. That's what under 5s ought to learn, not some violent super hero. |
miteolu: 3 on both sides to Sagamu = 6You go fear PDP mathematics nah! Ain't seen better live jokers than these bunch! ![]() |
Why won't the tanker fall on brown road? We go hear am today be that. Aguda will win hands down in today's Lagos contest of areas with the most Terrible road surface. Name name; brown road, Adetola, Enitan, Adekunle Kuye, even Mogaji to Ijesha that has been under perpetual construction! Sometimes I wonder if the Coker/Aguda council chairman is actually living in that area. |
Still not a problem as there different types of adaptors for HDMI. HDMI to composite, HDMI to VGA and so on.
Cool then. The jig-saw is finally fixed. Let's wait and see when the device starts shipping. |
Double post deleted. |
Bawss1: Anyways I'm willing to bet that this tablet will cost over $800.You mean US price? There is no way this device can retail below 200k here in naija. That's roughly $1,200. Ordinary BB Q10 is around $750 here. @Lord_Reed, the issue with HDMI is that it's not yet a standard feature on most projectors. I guess Toshiba and co should look into that ASAP. |
ITbomb: OMG . End of DiscussionHahahaha. What do you wanna do with a SIM on a 13'' device. Unless it's for data only. Won't be cool making calls on that. But can you imagine? USB and RJ45 ports? Mobile office don complete be that. Now why can't they just slap in a VGA converter Port so that I can plug in my projector and wow my audience with my power point presentations. Men. Samsung just aced it! |

It certainly sends a message... The US president's plane has barely left the African airspace before the leader of the continent's 2nd biggest economy embarks on a five-day state visit to China.
charges them for using the POS, they have decided that its the customer that would bear the charges. I had to go look for the nearest ATM to physically withdraw. The point here is banks are using this to milk people, how can one pay charge of 3k for a 80k deal?
