abbk000: In his usual style of rewarding academic excellence, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has splashed N40 million on members of the church who graduated with first class honors degree from different universities across the country. This is the power of motivation at play, here. At a time when every youth wants to be the next Movie star or Project Fame winner, because of the Prizes attached to them, this is surely a welcome development. Every well meaning Nigerian should do whatever he can to promote academic excellence in this country. I wish other Mega Churches can learn from this. |
citizenisb: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2307406/Iranian-scientist-claims-invented-time-machine-predict-future--years-ahead.htmlSorry to burst your bubble Mr Ali Razeghi. You can't put human beings under 'standard temperature and pressure for eight years'. We are a product of varying emotional, environmental, and behavioral circumstances. Even an individual himself cannot accurately relieve his life given another eight years from time, t. Your invention makes you no different from palm readers and horoscope followers. All #nawash!!! Meanwhile no let China catch you with that diss ![]() |
You are mixing things up. Both phones are Bold 5 and were released the same day, August 2011. It's just GSM vs CDMA. Every other spec is exactly same. That's why 9930 (CDMA) hardly sells in Nigeria. http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3116&idPhone2=3755 See specs comparism for Bold 5 (9900) and Bold 6 (9790) here; http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3116&idPhone2=4332 Bold 6 was released in December, same year. |
Well, i've hit my monthly limit of 15k, so there is no money for them to siphon again. I'll wait till next month to renew my subscription and see what happens. |
virtuoso01: The same old mentality. Nigerians heard about a foreign company exploiting our steel and they are all happy. The question is not just about exporting our natural products but the real question should be when are we going to start using our abundant natural resources to be manufacturing products and then exporting those manufactured high quality products to countries all around the world? Thanks for having a head on that shoulder. People are all over here jumping about a foreign company exploiting our resources and exporting steel billets! Please someone should tell me the difference between this African foundaries and Shell or Chevron. Our economic emancipation can only start the moment we all collectively understand that exporting crude resources has no bearing on our common wealth. We need to start refining our crude resources, whether oil or steel, turn them into finished products of high value, then export them and earn real value. That, my friends is what we should be discussing! |
I am really wary of all these Nigerian Politicians and Bankers becoming Pastors all of a sudden! |
Well, quite true and I agree with you for the most part. However the stats shown are for cars mostly in the US where they perform those checks properly and still the tranny issue was mind blowing. Again, on the website there you can have an overall look at top 20 problem cars in the US and hey presto, 2003 Eod is in that list For me, I will drive no other car in Nigeria asides a v6. My next car as soon as I go back will be a 2008 Acura TL Type S (A spec). The gear box is brand new from that line of acura and the design is even pretier that then new (2009 - date) acura look which I loathe so muchSo V6 all the way, but just be careful with 2003 - 2006 accord model V6 that's all I'm saying. DIY also helps to make sure you know what your car is up to. There are numerous forums for basically any car you can think of. Register yourself with any these forums and have a general view from people that own these cars and how they perform before you buy.
The major culprits are actually 2003 - 2005 EODs, then 2008-2009. see http://www.hondaproblems.com/Accord/ 2006-2007 seems to be the ones less prone to transmission issues. Now the funny thing is when people go to Ladipo to buy fairly used transmission, how sure are you that you are not buying a 2003 spec that is also about to fail after it lasts another 5miles? ![]() |
viperman: - " once a car is painted, the car is bad "I think you are taking it literally. The fear is that when buying a painted used car, the buyer can no longer asceratin the extent of damage to the autobody before it underwent panelbeaters hammer. So folks would rather buy 'as is' and then do the body works themselves. |
blink182: Haven't confirmed but I heard automatic car in neutral gear can not be pushed. You can push/roll it while the Engine is off, but you cannot jumpstart it from gear 2 as you would do a hard-starting manual transmission. |
luluosas: I just watched this Glo advertInteresting. Guess I'll have to call them tomorrow to explain. Or better still call for my bill statement. |
haibe: How do you set u wifi tethering on your blackberry pls?Just go to the Phone network options and switch on the hotspot (must be OS 7.0), then put on your laptop wireless connection and pick the signal. @OP, It's like I've entered Airtel's blackhole. Mehn! Right now my April bill has gone up to -14,600 even though I've stopped tethering since Friday. They keep charging me for data usage at intervals! *surprises* Any Airtel staff here? Kindly explain this magic to me. |
Hahahahahha This must be the joke of the day! Anyway, this is not beyond NPC's dream of cornering big security contracts as the Merchants of violence and death. |
im sure everyone celebrates Innoson motors.. But simply calling it as it is shouldn't be seen as something negative. In my opinion, innosons only problem is cost and poor marketing
Dude, the Bolded is the only sense you've made since you began all your arguments. You are an Anambra man, yet you have never been to the assembly line to see for your self except sourcing online pictures and running unnecessary, but degrading commentary on IVM here. How do you expect a young start-up in a multi-billion dollar industry to begin where Ford started in 1904? The Enterprising young man had entered into partnership with the Chinese to bring back production lines, with attendant job creation for our economy, the only thing he deserves is encouragement. I remember Engr. Izuogu tried to tow your line of reasoning by designing and building an Engine block from scratch, in a country that has no functional steel mill. Pray tell, have you ever seen a single unit of his car on display? There is no need re-inventing the wheel to prove nothing. What IVM needs to do is to go and poach seasoned Marketing Executives from Toyota Nigeria, KIA, or Honda and push the brands in our faces, enter into partnership with Telcos to use them in running those '1000 Cars for free' shindigs. Then possibly pushing it to the civil service commissions for staff to buy on lease and pay over 4 years. The future is truly bright for the young company. |
No wonder Sanusi is cutting off all the seemingly innocuos charges from these guys. SMS and Card maintenance fees must have contributed a good % of these 100b PBTs. But these guys are mean o. with all these obscene profits, they still won't knock down lending rates to single digits! |
I wouldn't have cared about this power cut if it had been earlier in the year as we hardly have power running into weeks of complete black out. But for the past one month, we've been enjoying a total of between 16-20 hours daily. Infact atimes, i wonder if it was a dream! Hope they device a means of supplying this gas without having to shutdown the plants in the future. |
Pals which one is better btw curve4&bold4 also dere price difference
While Curve 4 runs on OS 7.0 which allows you to use the phone as a wifi hotspot and connect other devices for browsing, Bold 4 runs on OS 6.0 and does not support this lovely feature |
^^ Not really. I've been watching tons of youtube clips on the same BES directly on the phone without extra charge. |
I've been using wifi tethering from my BES to browse on my lappy for about a week now. At intervals, Airtel will flash a message 'your PAYU data is 0.00NGN' on my phone screen, showing that there is no extra charge incurred by the tethering. I didn't browse youtube all these while. However, today as i was checking out some clips on youtube, still using my tethered lappy, a message flashed on my phone screen showing 'your PAYU data is 1,630.0NGN' and i was alarmed, altogether i discovered that almost 4,000 has been added to my phone bill for watching a couple of clips that are not up to 15mins altogether. Meanwhile, i do watch youtube clips on the phone directly all the time without incurring any extra charge outside BES. For other Network users that use wifi hotspot on their BB to browse on the laptop, do you get charged extra fees when you watch youtube clips. Let's share your experiences. |
It's been an open secret right from inception that Obi is the major shareholder in the Sabmiller co. I believe the suit is in order, let CAC be compelled to make public the MEMART documentations, showing the definite holdings of Anambra state govt, and that of Peter Obi as an individual if any. I just hope that immunity clause will not swallow this suit. |
hammedkola: I used to wonder how one must prepare for a job interview, and this thought came to me that with the level of civilization, is it good or bad to take iPad or galaxy tab to an interview that worth it?Absolutely yes, especially if you have a presentation to make with it. Probably you are a coder and you needed to show some of your works. Anything other than this, please drop it at the reception. |
Someone should refute this please. Is this another Salisu Buhari or the same former Speaker that was impeached for forging a University Certificate? If this is the same person, then for once i will side with the GEJ bashers in saying that honour has been thrown to the dogs by our President! This is so shameful, and i want to believe that all Lions and Lionesses should stand up in one voice and reject this aberration, the same way UNILAG rejected MAULAG. |
yungboss: i had a similar experience in my e36 320i in the past against a 2008 camry 2.5litre, i couldn't hold forth up to 170km/h, but touching 200km/h...i left him badly beaten200km/h on Nigerian road? You must be the damn Speed daemon! ![]() |
rash47: Op, ur options are incomplete. You made no provision for true federalism which appears d most honest way out of our socio-political nd economic woes. I think all progressive minded groups should call for SNC and don't think there 're no such groups in d north, there re core noretherners who believe co-habiting with southerners in dis country've brought them more problems.I wonder when people put only two options forward as the only way to go. Even if we divide with the same set of Kleptomatic politicians filled in the West, East, South and North, they will continue their looting to no end. True federalism with less attraction to political office still stands out as the best option for this country. |
See why we are called the GIANTS! Greatest UNIZIK!!! Discipline. Self Reliance. Excellence |
Knowledge9000: Typical Nigerian politicians...hoodwinking the masses with petty cheap-ass projects. Approve 2 billion naira for a project and spend only 100million for it. The masses jumping thinking it's a good thing and posting on Nairaland...Gov. Amonsuis performing. Until there is transparency on how these projects are awarded, these are just stunts to amuse and titillate the senses of the poor masses. It's time we, the masses take back our country; meaning, whenever project is awarded and construction has started, go and inspect it, estimate the worth of what you saw on ground and compare it to the amount awarded for it...you will be astonished and if not angryThank you jare. Most people are just ignorance on rampage! |
Can somebody tell NCC to publish the modalities for these porting? Seeing that today is the go-live date, i suppose the information on how-to, should have been published for the public to use. Most folks are still in the dark on what exactly to do. |
I just noticed that since the formation of APC, ACN chieftains has been taking turns to lend their voice to Amnesty for BH as formally championed by CPC chieftains. Seems they are privy to some classified info. |
Mods. Kindly move this to the FP. We need more folks with foreign ops ideas to chew on this. @OP This info on the release of over 15,000 trained combat personnel by the Chadian authorities is a very worrisome development. But I'm also wondering the strength of their force in the first place. Can Nigeria troop, as large as we are, even afford to release such a massive count? Anyway, those guys are definitely an easy army of mercinaries wherever there's an insurgency on the sub Sahara. I'm not sure if they also dream of the famed 72 virgins because if they do, then this region is on a long thing! |
For most American/Canadian spec cars, the lights are wired to come up once the Engine starts running to keep oncoming vehicles informed of your presence during foggy weather. It is called Daylight Running Light (DRL). However when the car enters Naija, we don't bother to remove it even though our weather is clear and bright. |
Instead of insulting each other for nothing, it's better to look at the holistic approach to affordable housing issues plaguing the land. I bet you, it's not only in Enugu, it's a national problem. Individuals can never provide enough housing for the ever growing population with the current high cost of procuring lands and building materials. Why is it that government is not investing in housing estates that will be affordable to the middle class? The money they siphon to build wasteful Hotels can build block of flats or detached bungalows for people that earn up to 5 - 15m/annum to pay over an agreed mortgage terms. Do you know that if state govts can empower only 50% of middle class citizens to own their homes, they will leave the houses they rent today to the rest of the population at a far cheaper rate for the lower class. While the luxury apartments can be for the people that can afford to live their dreams. |
While this your list is plausible becuase of the level of cash and ammunition these guys parade, any body can also dismiss it as mere conjectures because of lack of empirical evidence. With all the call from most prominent political citizens in the North for amnesty, there is no more doubt where BH boys motivation lies. |
