you are right. It is so annoying how these agents make people spend hard-earned money. NigPatriot: You're always adviced to go without agent for this US F1 visa "hustle". Any information you want has been posted here if you read through previous threads - I can bet you'll find what you're looking for. Many (not all) of these agents are just after how to get your money. And you can always ask questions, there are people just like myself that can answer such. With CGPAs of even 2.75/5.0 you can get a direct masters to schools in the US. You just have to know the right school to apply to, and know how to finetune your profile to fit into what the school requires. By fine-tuning I mean your Statement of Purpose is one of the most important documents after your transcripts. You have to sell yourself, there is more to you than your CGPA. Am I right? |

ok but I am only concerned about the money you will spend in the pathway, why not get graduate school straight. Your CGPA IS VERY HIGH I must confess mine was 2.95/5 and I got Masters's without any standardized test and also got a GA. I will advise you to do more search instead of taking this. vivasimby94: Thank for your response. I was a pure novice until I joined this platform. you nailed it UmmZayd: That's what I'm saying. You can have all your documents but you didn't even get the chance to present them. Questions can come in different ways. In your case, the VO saw your i-20 then the tuition on it then he was interested in who your sponsor is. He/she probably feels your response after that doesn't tally with the amount he/she is seeing on your i-20 or there's something on your DS 160 that shouldn't be. |

CHECK your DS160 information again. Cap91: Visa denied Today 1st March 2022 VO: I can see you are going for a masters degree in...... Me: yes VO: who's sponsoring the program? Me: Rev ...... He's my spiritual father and has Been my sponsor ever since in high school. The VO typed for a very long time and issued me a blue paper which states that in section 214b . That I don't have a strong ties at home. Whereas he didn't ask me and I'm married with 3kids.
My question is what should be the problem and what will I do to schedule another appointment before sevis fee expires. I read from the blue paper that I need to pay for another visa fee before rescheduling.
Next question: if I pay for another visa fee, will I be able to schedule another EA because my school resumes May 16.

In my experience, if you want to get most things leave the big names sometimes. My school for instance is looking for people who can teach mathematics and computer sciences. You would be given a 100% tuition waiver and stipends. Most courses do not require GRE and or TOEFL, NO result evaluation. the school is Marshall University Huntington WV www.marshall.edu you might want to check it out. Goodluck Oluh: I feel the guy is cruising us. He had 2,2 with full funding, scholarship and with no exams done. That seems unreal. |

Absolutely my husband was given F2 on the 1st Feb 2022 in Abuja too and this what he said. gbegene2007: I will guide you, your husband should be prepared to establish home tied through his work and his experience. That’s basically that and he should be conversant with all details pertaining to you his spouse such as schooling details, marriage details, if you have children etc He should be fine but from experience F2 for the husband usually gets denied at instance but yours may be different.
I was denied in January 10 in Lagos, re-applied and got a date in February 16 in Abuja and got approved. I was going to see my wife and children. I hope this helps |

Your funding does not look capable in the V.Os eyes see the bolded remember you pay salaries and other overhead costs for 12 months from school fees. Mkkkk: Visa Delayed- December 2021 Embassy Location- Abuja COA- 31k No Funding Sponsor- Mum and husband
I’m married and applied with my 2 years old daughter(F2) for MsED in Educational administration as I have been working as a school administrator since I graduated in 2014 in my family owned school and my mum is retiring shortly and I will be fully in charge of the school hence the reason for my masters degree as my first degree is BSc Economics. My daughter was crying so I was given priority and asked to leave the queue and sent straight to the Black female VO.
Interview Black young female VO VO: Goodmorning Me: Hi, Goodmorning VO: Tell me about your plans Baby was uneasy and restless so I was trying to pacify her by shaking her on my shoulder while responding. Me: I’m going to graduate school for my masters in Educational administration. VO: What is the duration of your programme? Me: 24months VO: Continues typing then asked why this course. Me: Im working as a school administrator in my family owned school so this will help me acquire necessary skills and knowledge required to effectively manage and administer a school as I will be taking over management of the school once Mum retires in a few years. VO: What did you study in your first degree? Me: Economics VO: who is sponsoring you? Me: My Mum will cover my tuition while my husband will cover I and my daughter’s living expenses. Me: Student population of roughly 959, staff strength of 36 academic and 22 non academic staffs. VO: Your husbands business what year did he start? Me: 2015 VO continues typing for awhile then picks the blue slip and handed over to me with my passport and i20 Me: Is there anything you would have needed more clarification on as you saw I was a bit distracted and unsettled with my baby crying and me trying to pacify her and answering you in between. VO responds it’s all in the blue slip, you can reapply at a later date.
Gurus in the house, please I need advice as to what went wrong. I already deferred my admission to Fall semester and would be reapplying. I would appreciate suggestions on how to improve my application next time. And also if I’m asked what has changed since my last application, any suggestions on what to say because I haven’t changed my sponsors or my school. |

In Nigeria, you should bring your expired passport when you come for the new one so that it will be stamped "canceled without prejudice" and give it back to you and the diplomats know that. Some countries do retrieve your old passport from you at renewal but not Nigeria. Svelte98: Some immigration offices ask you to submit your old/expired passports after a renewal. What do you do in that case? |

Memorial Herman boy very expansive hospital I hail you for using it. babestell: Hello House, time to share my story
I got my visa early last year before the who0le issue with dates started. I wasn’t pregnant then but we thank God for his gifts. I used Memorial Hermann and Dr Z. My cost breakdown is below
Dr Z (include ultrasound): $2550 Memorial Hermann sugarland; $3969 Anesthesia: $2000 Sunrise Pediatrics: $500 Hospital Labs: $300
The hospital labs is not a round figure as above, I rounded it up0. When we got home we received an additional bill from the hospital. Apparently the hosp0ital only allows their own p0ediatrics team attend to baby after birth. Instead of allowing the external child pediatrician attend. They charge the p0arents for the service and boy its not cheap. My bill when sent was Child Initial Birth: $750 Circumcision: $821 Baby discharge examination: $535
So pls if you are using this hospital, put all these in plan. Covid has dealt with the system so even all those freebies we used to get from hospitals are no longer available. They claim this was in response to Covid . I applied for baby passport last week of November. Even paid for express. Unfortunately, the passport is not out. We travelled with ETC, which my husband helped process.
I did my covid test at CVS and that’s what I used to travel.
Thanks to everyone who shared their journey.
PS Dr Z is Nigerian...I know there was time people were arguing over it here. |

till early Feb 2015 hospital bills in west Houston medical center was low for example c-section was $3000 ( it was after I had paid that it was reviewed upwards to $4000) virginal birth was $2500 anesthetics was $1200 my doctor was $1500 but when I went back in 2020 c-section was $5000 doctor - $2000 anesthetics- $2000 in Valleywise health (formerly Maricopa health system) it was about $1000 or so later reviewed upwards to $2500 in the same early 2015. so for me, she has no issues here. AmeliaT: Why so low though? It’s almost unheard of. Be ready to justify. I hope you didn’t access any public funds or concessions. |

get the student copy of your transcript to be sure of your next line of action. I believe your school sent from year 2 especially if you had a new registration number after the department transfer. eg in my time in the school I read in if you were admitted to department A all your records are entered in department A records book at the registry then if you transferred to B Your records for B will be in its records book in your case from yr2 so yr1 will be in book A AND YR2 to graduation will be in book B. Oluminate: Hello good people of Nairaland. Please I need your counsel concerning my situation at the moment, I got this email from one of the schools I applied to.
Email Content. It was noted in your file for admission that we are missing the following documents to complete your file:
-A copy of your Foundation Year Transcript.
Your transcript from bleep bleep indicates you started there as a 2nd year student, implying a foundation year. A copy of the transcript of this foundation year is necessary to finish your file.
My Response, I turned in my application earlier this month and I was contacted by the graduate school concerning my foundation year transcript.
I would like to state that I was a transfer student within the university; I crossed from department A to department B at the end of my first year. So I started at department B as a year two student.
In the department B I took my first year courses which are the foundation courses as part of my coursework from my sophomore year, through my senior year. Also, the courses are included in the official transcript that I submitted for my application.
Do I still need to forward my transcript from department A?
Response
Good morning
The transcript submitted begins in 200 level courses or year 2. The courses taken as part of the Department A program are required to complete your admission file.
Thank you Please who has experienced this issue before. Getting the requested transcript from my school can take forever. |
