At least, he is eating it with his hand. The real way. The lady in the London's metro was using a fork. |
With due respect to the man, of what fvcking use is poetry to Nigeria. I rate JJ Okocha, Rashidi Yekini etc above all these so-called intellectuals who have contributed nothing tangible to the Nation. Jay Jay still remains much well known internationally than Soyinka and others like him. Jay jay put Nigeria firmly on the world map. |
I have said this over and over. For GMB to really effect change, he must shun all these He did the right thing. The only way he will get my support and respect is if he side-tracks them and appoints only qualified proffessionals as ministers irrespective of state of origin or ethnic group. |
Yes, Ibadan is the pride of South West. Finally, you guys have come to realize that LAGOS cannot be the pride of South West. This is because we have SW states and Lagos. I'm happy for you guys for Ibadan. You should be proud of it. Lagos is for US all. Thank you. |
torkaka:Thank you for educating these phony intellectuals who post things here with such certainty that ordinary Nigerians are misinformed. If the RMAFC decides that members of the NA will be paid N10 a month, that's is what they will get. They are receiving the jumbo salaries and allowances because of endemic corruption and the lack of will from the executive branch. It is the president that appoints the chairman of the commission. The senate approves the appointment just like they approve the appointment of ministers and all other major appointments by the president. Most approvals are just routine. The well known " take a bow and leave ". The president holds the key. GEJ appointed Jega and sent him to the NA for approval. For the same token, he could have appointed Orubebe or Oronto Douglas. A strong willed president will slash that salary in a jiffy. The RMAFC is an arm of the executive. |
Mandatory ? ! Hell no. Some women will look at you in a strange if you even say ' Thank you' after each meal. Some African women are even embarrassed to hear it from their husband. In all my years growing up at home, I've never heard my dad say thank you After meals. On the contrary, he will bark that the plates should be removed. However, my mom cooks the food, but does not serve it. The maid serves it. I am sure most Igbo wives can relate to this. Many Igbo men still live like Okonkwo in " Things fall apart". Very few say thank you to their wives after serving them food. Many wives feel uncomfortable to even hear that 'thank you' that they don't really know how to respond. I don't think many African men say thank you to their wives for cooking for them. It is not expected. You can always thank your wife in many other ways. |
pak:That is most likely. They were a scamming couple that somehow messed up their well planned routine. Looking at the woman's picture, I'm inclined to believe she was in on it. |
bjdon:I strongly disagree with the bolded. When the National assembly passes the budget, it is just an appropriation act. The president, Buhari, must accent to it by signing it. Then it becomes a bill that can be implemented. Buhari can and should refuse to sign any appropriation act with 'mega wage packages' as you put it. All he has to do is get his PR people to shout from the roof top that the National assembly is holding the Nation to ramsom. Leave the rest to civil society groups, Charley boy and okada riders and the Nigerian masses.Buhari can surely make them reduce their wages. It is the executive arm that decides what all government officials will earn. The NA only has to approve it or not. |
Well, Jonathan has solved the the Boko Haram problem for Buhari by almost 98%. The entire area has been cleared of insurgents. Many women and girls have been rescued. Whether the Chibok girls are among them or not, we can not tell, because the Chibok girls have become faceless. We don't know if they are actually exist somewhere. The whole "Chibok girls" issue has become a mirage. I doubt if they can ever be found as a group again. People should stop using them to score cheap publicity. |
SuperSuave:F00L ! you made your conclusions without reading the article. There is absolutely nothing hateful in Mr. Bruce's advice to GMB. You are the one that is blind to the realities on the ground. Buhari has a lot in his hands. He will really have to be very single-minded if he wants to effect any tangible change within a short time. We, Nigerians are in a hurry. Like I have posted a couple of times, GMB must crash the recurrent expenditure. Not just slash it, but crash it totally. He must put enough pressure on members of the NA to also crash their own budget. With a very convincing and persuasive argument, most members will go along with him especially when we back up Buhari with placards in front of the NA. If he does not cut the government expenses, remove all forms of waste as well as kill corruption, nothing will change. He is the executive president. Like Ronald Reagan, the buck stops at his table. He should be ready to push his vision through. He must not think of a second term now. He should pay little attention to the greedy APC cronies . The time to act is NOW (May 30th) |
XBLadez:Otukwuru ochia....hahahahaha... Chinwetalu Agu is very naughty man. ODB... ![]() |
She does look good for her age. Keep it up. |
Is this a response to the ' baby Ape ' yabbis of yesterday. Una dey try... but Osinbajo is no presidential material. He's there to serve tea and Biscuits to the Ab0ki feudal lords. He is a Tinubu mole. GMB is aware of that. We are not fools. |
The regular Africa Magic movie channel is as good as Africa Magic Igbo. Na only Igbo people I dey see for that channelooo ! Anyway, good to have an authentic Igbocentric channel. Wetin do Clem... !! |
[quote author=aresa post=33212793][s]I just wonder why many of you TaNoids try too hard to sound dumb and idiotic...[/[/s]quote] My concerns are genuine. I don't have anything against Buhari, but we should acknowledge his shortcomings. I JUST DO NOT WANT TO SEE HIM SPEAK ON ANY INTERNATIONA PODIUM. I am a Nigerian and I can hardly understand him. He must save the nation that embarrassment. |
Good. But he should not be allowed to speak. He must avoid making any speech. It will be embarrassing to see other English speaking leaders wearing head phones for translations when Buhari is speaking English. I really think he should be a ' Sit-at-home' president. He should send diplomats to all international engagements. |
He obviously has more than one wife. His religion allows it. So nothing do am.. |
Lucasbalo:I've read it again. Your post is filled with venom. Your attempt to sound neutral and detribalized failed woefully. We could see through you. |
Lucasbalo:Yes, the Igbo people of Lagos. You missed that bit because you cannot get the word "Igbo" round your tongue. Shame to APC for not nominating more Igbos and other ethnic nationalities for elective posts in Lagos. The Lagos state house of assembly ought to have at least 7-10 Igbo people in it if real proportional representation took place. |
BARR (MRS) RITA ORJI, AJEROMI/IFELODUN I(LAGOS), PDP Ajo anu.....that woman go tough no be small. I want her to be very vocal in the house. I will be doing a lot of PR for her. Ada nne, carry on. |
omonnakoda:How STOOPID, With a name like that ?. |
A very good representation of Igbo elders. R. Admiral Allison Madueke should have been among them. We, Igbos, still have a huge stake in Nigeria. I concur with the visit and the caliber of Igbos that visited GMB. Idika Kalu is there too. ONE NIGERIA. |
N500,000 in 1977 is like someone giving you well over 100million today, interest free to start a business. Dangote is simply previeledged. He had a good start. Anyway, he used the money well. |
Where is the news in this story ?. We all know that. In fact i just posted a comment on the Hausa/ Fulani candidate before this crap came to the FP. |
Sunymoore:Buhari's popularity was limited to this 2014 elections. APC was Buhari and Buhari is APC. Take Buhari out and the party will crumble at the center. Tinubu and co know that very well. Now, Buhari as president will be very exposed to the public. His shortcomings will soon begin to emerge. All PDP needs to do is to bring out a young and capable Northerner and APC will crumble. |
jacksparrow1207:Don't bite more than you can chew... besides, i usually laugh my head off when dumb criminals get caught or shot. Not supporting Kidnapping though. |
It is possible. All they need to do is to find and groom a popular young Northerner to pull the carpet under Buhari's feet. The next gang up will be The Igbos and the Hausa's against the Yorubas. We in the SE will always vote for the PDP. PDP has 4 years to find that Hausa boy that will be the presidential candidate. I don't care if it's Mohammed Babangida. It will be pay back time for the Yoruba snakes.. |
Runz girl since primary school. Zero class. |
ekenedegreat:You no see the result. He was shot dead for a miserly 3 milla. Ofe...boys trying to form big kidnapper. Dem no get the liver for that job. They should stick to picking pockets at motor parks. Kidnap tinz pass their level...Mitcheeeew. |
Dr. Ariyo is going down. His apology is too late. He only came out to apologise after the killings in South Africa started. I urge my fellow Igbo guys to go and sign the petition. Inform the immigration at MMA, Lagos. Dr. Ariyo may be on his way to Nigeria. Igbos are in Lagos to stay. No mofo can do anything about that. |
