edicolove: Please, always read before you post. It saves you a lot of embarrassment. Farouk asked the house to remove Otedola's name from the list after he had initially included it. That's evidence that he changed his mind after money changed hands. Farouk did not have any recording of the bribery event. So he is no hero. The so called recommendations are useless if farouk is tainted and guilty.Well, i could'nt be bothered to read the post because i've read a lot about the case on Nigerian National dailies. It still boils down to a case of "he said, she said". His words against his. Whether Farouk removed his name, added it back and removed it again and so fort...is TOTALLY irrelevant. Simple minded folks like you cannot see the bigger picture. The point is that Otedola admitted to offering bribe, Farouk admitted to accepting it. But he still indicted Otedola. That i tell you, my friend, is unprecedented in Nigeria. A country where a policeman will collect just N20,000 to cover a murder case. You and your simple minded supporters ought to hide your heads in shame for not grasping my comment. You could not comprehend my point thereby forcing me to explain. READ BETWEEN THE LINES. |
He is already immortalized in Ogun state. That is more than enough for him. Naming Abuja staduim "MKO stadium" is a step too far. Besides Lagos is just as national as Abuja, if not more national. Let's not make Abiola more than what he actually was or is. Remove his name from UNILAG. |
If Farouk Lawam collected $620 from Otedola and STILL indicted him in his report, he DESERVES a statue at Eagle square. That is very unNigerian. I do not doubt him when he says that he reported the bribery by Otedola to the police. The fact that he still indicted Otedola, regardless, is a heroic act in the Nigerian context. The Govt must carry out the recommendations asap. A very important aspect of the whole investigation is that Otedola OFFERED the bribe. What Farouk did is what applies in the Western world. He had to collect the money as evidence, otherwise Otedola will deny it later. |
N200 per hour ? !!!. that's outrageous. Why not N50 per hour. Nigeria is the most capitalist nation in the world. Quote me anywhere. In Nigeria, what you eat is what you kill. No Welfare, no foodstamps, no dole. This will be the end of that beautiful mall. Somebody should stop it now. |
Cape Verde and Mauritius are waiting to whoop their assses very soon.I still dey vex. The "Super"in the Eagles has gone for good. |
Lets just wait until the constuitution is amended. Igbo Lagosians will have to form their own party, because the ACN will not let them in. In the last election some indigenes in some states went to court to make sure that non-indigenes nominated are removed. Do you know that Fashola has the right to drive all Yorubas from Oyo, Osun, Ogun etc out of the civil service ?. It's a crazy clause which must be changed in the next amendment. |
jason123: Tinubu is from Osun and he ruled Lagos....and Fernandez and all those Brazilian Lagosians are from Rio de Janeiro. Ewu.. All our ancestors came from somewhere else centuries ago. |
I expected them - the Eagles- to win.No nation fears the Eagles anymore. That is really bad.Very soon we will drawing with Sao tome & Principe or Somalia. Germany, Holland and Spain will ALWAYS beat San Marino, Malta or Albania. This is really embarrasing. |
..... in addition to my earlier comment, an Enugu state indigene will not make it to the house of assembly in Anambra. So it's not perculier to Lagos state. This applies all over the federation. |
Gbawe: You people and your dishonesty all stemming from how you cannot give a certain ethnic group the credit due to it. I don't really bother with all these patently stupid argument because it is clear many don't see what is obvious when they brag vacuously.CRASS IGNORANCE !!. Nigeria has an Indigene clause in it's constitution which excludes non-indigenes from contesting elections or representing the people of a state. A yoruba man from Ogun state(next door neighbour)CANNOT contest for the house of assemly in Lagos state. There are moves in the National assembly to remove the ïndigene clause and replace it with residency and place of birth. An Igboman born and bred in Obalende cannot make the ACN list of candidates for the house of assembly. However, a political party can take a ridical step and nominate a non indigene, but the reality is that most party members will oppose that. Tinubu and the ACN makes sure that only indigenous Lagosians are elected for any post i the state. So, a Yoruba man from Ibadan has no chance. It's covered by the constitution. |
Kobojunkie: He has a right to his opinion. You are insulting him for seeing this differently. What if it turns out he is right, and it is some weirdo here in the states trying to get his own 15 minutes of fame. What do you do then?SO DO I !!. "nuff said. And for the fools comparing an Aircraft (Plane) with a car(Toyota or Honda), why don't you stretch it as far as the Bicycle and Okada ?.If you granpa falls off his bicycle in the village, you should sue Raleigh or Batavus. I-di-otic comparisons. |
Can we please stick to Tonto Dike, Genevieve and Mercy Johnson( the qunitessential African woman) I've seen Kim Kardashian's pudanda and that's it for me. |
If people like you are in government, you will plunge the country into more unrecoverable danger because of the way you guys mislead facts on Lagos State and other national issues. Having large presence of nonindigenes of Lagos at places like Alaba, mile 12 or basically some slums in Lagos doesnt translate to having more non-Yorubas than the owners of the land. Mind you, you are either traders or cattle rearers, meaning you will return to your base after trading. How many or %age of non Yorubas are living in Places like Ikoyi, VI,Ikeja, Badagry, Epe,Magodo etc. be sincere with yourself. Non Yorubas could be many in numbers but few in percentage.
My friend don't spit out what you DONT know. You're just guessing. I lived in Magodo for quite some time. Over 70% of the houses are owned or built by non-Yorubas. Owners are mainly people from the SS and Igbos. There are many Edos, Uhrobos and other ethnic groups. same goes for Ikoyi, VI and Ikeja. The only Yoruba enclaves in Lagos are Obalende, Epe, Badagry and to some extent Ikorudu. The Mainland is overwhelmly Non- Yoruba. Base your comments on facts, not emotion. |
I don't think ACN/CPC merger will dislodge PDP from power. Both parties are too regional. All PDP needs to do is to pick the right person for president if GEJ decides not to run. Besides, if they fix the power problem to an extent before 2015, Jonathan or Okonjo Iweala will win it again for PDP. The choice of candidates will determine who wins in 2015 not the party platform. |
@Kobojunkie, May i refer you to an earlier comment by Texazzshit.Quote "with the strange middle name (unless someone's keyboard stuck!) " Maybe you can begin to understand my response. Try to be objective. |
I got a big crush on this Nollywood hotie, am i alone in this?
No, you're not. I'm fully taken, but definitely would... She is one sexy babe.@Callimo, Chill out. We need something to take our minds off all the sad news of this week. |
Kobojunkie: Wow . . . we are already comparing this to that McDonald case? You may want to call home to get facts on how this is no where close to the McDonalds case. It's not a comparison, but a reference to the American justice system. I'm sure that unlike your fellow demented friend "Texazzpete "you understand the difference. That m-or-on has stayed in the US for too long.Otherwise, he would not make st-upi-d statements like "We have AMBULANCE CHASERS in Nigeria too. To which court or judge in Nigeria would you sue Tantalizers for serving you hot rice that burnt your mouth. No lawyer of judge will entertain such a case. Rice like Coffie is supposed to be hot. I do not need to get any new facts on the McDonald case. The case is and was absurd that's why it made headlines. That little, dumb and insecure fellow called Texazshit thinks he sounds intelligent by making silly insinuations like "The lawyer called all 153 families....." Has it ever occured to you that CHUKWUNONSO( i know that's what drives you insane) has the right to go to court irrespective of whether you think it's morally right or not. Yes, he had to sue in the USA,because America is a land of absurdites. We should all wait to see what the outcome of the case would be. |
"Slowpoke? !" I do'nt use such words. Stop putting words in my mouth. I wrote I-MBE-CILE. |
CHESSBOARD: You shut ur mouth, are you saying you r more intelligent than that man, he knows why he sue them. Hey dont even go their this man in question is so vexed and sueing a manufacturer is the least he can do to quench his anger, Nigger he lost his loved one for some bu1lsh!it reasons. You should'nt have bothered responding to that i-d-iot called "Texazzpete". he thinks calling everybody an slowpoke makes him intelligent. He is a man with deep inferiority complex. It was an "Ambulance Chase" that got the McDoanlds women paid. We need more "Ämbulance Chasers" in Nigeria because those living in the destroyed houses on the ground have an even bigger claim.I trust my Naija people, tenants will emerge from under the rocks in no time. Even those living at Ajah. |
It's USA we're talking about here, guys.If a woman can sue McDonalds for making their coffie too hot that she got burnt on her laps when SHE spilled her coffie ,AND WON, then Chukwunonso definetely has a case. In America many "Class-action suits"don't make sense. This man has nothing to lose. |
dayokanu: Honda Accord series : HondaAllah, Honda Skirach, Honda bullet, Honda Bulldog, Honda Baby-boy, Honda End of discussion, Honda Discussion continues and the latest Honda evil spiritHahahaha... stupid names Nigerians give cars.Nigerians drive only 2 brand of cars : Toyota and Honda. Now that pisses me off. I was in Lagos in April, i cannot believe the number of Toyotas i saw on the road. TOYOTA PURE WATER should be the appropraite name. Don't wanna drive one anymore. Will go for a BMW or Mercedes. Too many damn Toyotas and Hondas |
bisiaet: What is the meaning of this ? Is the guy alright at all? Why sueing the company that sold the death trap plane please brosie come back here to sue DANA and Nigeria Aviation Industry for failure on their part and stop going after impossible mission because you will ends up loosing the case and pay your lawyer.YES, the guy is alright. His wife is dead, gone, finito, never comming back. Sitting down to weep, cry and shout will not bring his wife back. So he needs to seek revenge. His American Aviation attorney agrees with him. I hope he sues them for nothing les than $1billion. That is the Igbo spirit. |
Mr. Gary Robb, a Kansas City based AVIATION ATTORNEY certainly thinks that Chukwunonso Allison has a case. So all you dimwits here mouthing off over Igboman and money should shut up. He should go for it. Whether he mourns or not, his wife is not comming back. Time to kick a-ss. My earlier post did'nt come out well. Something went wrong with the format. |
nagoma: The war did not kill him. The cigaret did. He asked for it. Really saw the future.I would pick up a cigarette right now if i know that i will live to be 78 years like Ojukwu did. He simply died of Old age. |
kelmich: Opukeme,Ngozi for a guy is wack. Almost repulsive. Parents of Imo origin are known to do that. It's a typical Imo state thing. |

A man whose wife died when a Nigerian commercial airliner crashed into a crowded neighborhood in that country’s largest city filed a lawsuit in the United States on Thursday that blames the accident, at least in part, on U.S. companies that designed, manufactured and sold the ill-fated plane. An American attorney filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Chicago on behalf of David Chukwunonso Allison, whose wife, Joy Chiedozie Allison, was on the Dana Air MD-83 that went down in the African nation Sunday afternoon. The crash killed 153 people who were on the plane and an undetermined number of people on the ground. Among those named in the 56-page lawsuit are Chicago-based Boeing Co., which bought the McDonnell-Douglas manufacturer of the plane, and Connecticut-based engine-maker Pratt & Whitney. Gary Robb, a Kansas City, Mo.-based aviation attorney who filed the lawsuit for David Allison, said reports of engine failure as the plane approached Lagosm point to the companies’ culpability. Nigeria’s Aviation Minister Stella Oduah said Wednesday that the flight’s captain radioed Lagos as the aircraft approached and declared an emergency, saying both of the MD-83’s engines had failed. Minutes later, the plane crashed into several buildings. “That is always incredibly significant information,” Robb said. “Engines do not fail unless something goes dramatically wrong.” Mr. Gary Robb, a Kansas City based AVIATION ATTORNEY certainly thinks that Chukwunonso Allison has a case. So all you dimwits here mouthing off over Igboman and money should shut up. He should go for it. Whether he mourns or not, his wife is not comming back. Time to kick a-ss. |
eeMu eeLu 32nought. Never dies. |
;Dquote author=9-zeros]ekwutos
Funny name. What does it mean anyway ?. Not many Igbo parents give their child the name these days.Infact none that i know. |
Ojukwu makes Gowon look like a riff-raff. A mai-guard in suit . Igbos have always had swaggar. Funny enough Nigerians are now requesting for all the things Ojukwu asked for then. He saw the future. |
Orikinla: Living in an underdeveloped country where majority of the people are i-d-i-ots and ruled by intellectually retarded politicians whose immaturity and insecurity drive them to misappropriate public funds and vandalize our national institutions. Why don't you go and apply for a visa quick quick and get the hell out. We don't need people like you in Naija.Watch out for you may run into BIGGER i-d-i-ots in US or UK. Another challenge of mine is how to permenently settle in Naija (Lagos)without having any need to set foot in the west again. My wife and kids are an obstacle. |
All gone!
Oh my God !!. Just saw Mr. Anyene's picture. What can i say to him ?. I'm dumbfounded. Cold shivers. |
