Music/RadioRe: Nigerian Artistes And Poor Live Performances by Christino(m): 9:04pm On Nov 23, 2006
If there's any live performance i'd love 2 c, it has 2 an artiste who read music, like Dare or P-Square (choreography exclusive) or some artiste who plays some instrument, all this artiste who only hold the mic have nothing to offer ON STAGE! I don't blame them.

Someone like Sunny, Obesere and co can't mess up cos they have their band, i don't know why our hip hop artiste just go there to say things people really can't hear, no band no incentives, just their music in the background while they move they lips, so what? they can do better jare.
Nairaland GeneralRe: How Far With The New Phcn Meters? by Christino(m): 8:54pm On Nov 23, 2006
It depends o, if you have a pumping machine, an A/C, a deep freezer and some power consuming devices, you could end up tearing the card apart within 25 days.

But if it's a normal 3 bedroom flat, that should take you for at least 75 days or more.

tip is: switch off all devices whenever they are not needed, like unplug your microwave, electric iron, electric stoves, and switch off bulbs and appliances when they are not in use.

power consuming devices are usually electric devices like iron, kettle, ring boiler, heater and other heavy stuffs, they usually should not be left on or used for too long/unnecessarily.
Music/RadioRe: Who Do U Think Has Been Naija's Most Celebrated Artiste For The Past Decade by Christino(m): 8:49pm On Nov 23, 2006
My guy na King Sunny Ade o.

Naijeriya yi ti gbo gbo wa ni. That was the song of the last decade. in the 80's it was Fela.

KSA's world tour to me seems to be the most successful in the last decade.

SportsRe: [Poll] African Footballer Of The Year - Eto'o, Drogba, Essien, Kanu? by Christino(m): 8:11pm On Nov 23, 2006
No one deserves the award more than Essien, but he did not show up at the cup of nations - obviously due to "injury".

In that case i'll give it to Drogba. He took his country to the world cup for the first time and was one of the top 3 highest goal scorers in the qualifiers (incl. Adebayor and Obagol). Drogba fought hard against cameroun in the qualifiers though lost 3-2 in that match. Drogba took the Ivoriens to the final of the nations cup after over a decade of reaching that far.

with those two in bag, plus to me he played well last season. 12 premiership goals and 11 premiership assists is enough pride for an African.

Eto'o's finished with 5 goals at the cup of nations but could not go so far in the tourney. He did not play at the world cup and made up for this by finishing as top goal scorer, champion's league trophy, la liga trophy among others and surely deserves it.

Essien has been instrumental to his country and club and took them to a splendid maiden world cup outing. but did not show up at the nations cup for reasons best known to mourinho.

Kanu is fond of turning the game around for nigeria. with 6 goals and 3 assists for west brom last season after 19 starts, and miraculous adventures for Nigeria, especially in hopeless times, I think Kanu deserves a nomination.

but all in all, I guess it's time Drogba got this stuff and let's stop robbing Peter to Pay Paul. Okocha struggled to get this stuff but was denied, Eto'o has just won the FiFpro African footballer of the year and he truly deserves it, but let's face it this time around, if this is all the extra fire Drogba needs, let's give it to him.

Guys i'm in a fix,

First of all, I couldn't get automatix to download, i followed all the steps on their site - no luck

I downloaded real player 10 Gold for linux but could not install the .bin file. automatic installation did not work either.

I understand Yahoo messenger for linux is quite old and i'm not feeling GAIM at all.

Can I install Red Hat on the same system?

What is the difference between Xubuntu, Kubuntu and Ubuntu?

@ Saint

I gave them an encore before you even heard the song sef.

I'm a yoruba to the core, no doubt it was a great song, name one original song (local or hip hop) you've heard recently or even a soundtrack and i'll give you a reference.

There's nothing original nowadays, take it or leave it!

OLORI Oko is one of the best Yoruba videos, if not the best i've seen in years. No idea's original - NAS.

@Eurphoria,

FamilyRe: Man Discovers On Wedding Night That Wife Is No Virgin by Christino(m): 10:55pm On Nov 19, 2006
He should stick with her, he'll get over it in little time especially if the girl is well mannered, but the truth is he'll neva take her for her word. They can still make it work anyway.

I don't see any reason why she should use that as a barrier to make him wait, needless to say, he won't be faithful to her cos he's definitely not a virgin.

Virgin or no virgin, be of good character 2 your partner and things will definitely work out!

Art, Graphics & VideoRe: To Become A Video Editor by Christino(m): 6:49pm On Nov 19, 2006
512MB of Video, RAM or HDD Memory?

For option 1 - Video, almost any video Editor Software should work with that

but for the HDD? Well, I really doubt, because most graphic software require some great deal of swap memory or paging file and other stuffs on the hard disk, maybe MS Movie Maker wink
