Walkee: "...the most powerful family in the world for the past 500 years"! So F what? Is the family infallible? Immune from any wrongdoings? That same family played a part in the looting of Nigeria; the amalgamation of Nigeria; the pilfering of resources from all the countries Britain colonized and a lot of unspeakable atrocities. Come on, man, quit blowing your oppressors trumpets. 1 Like |

Kriss216: A man like you would fold his hands and do nothing while his wife is being dragged and verbally assaulted by his family for being from a different tribe or class. If the boldened above is true, would it be fair to say your mom has ceased loving your dad? Meghan is Harry's wife for crying out loud! So, it is natural for him to support his wife because he himself witnessed the alleged abuses his wife endured at the palace.. Again if "the love of a family is forever" then it implies Harry still loves his family and the monarchy. You wouldn't understand the effects of racism either overt or covert until you've experienced it. Agreed, Meghan could be seen as a drama queen by some people but that isn't enough reason to disbelieve all she said at the interview with Oprah because doing so would amount to the monarchy being seen as infallible - an impossibility! 6 Likes |

lionness: Your cousin can still make something positive out of life. He may become a motivational speaker telling youths about the dangers of cultism. He may even go back to school or acquire some much needed skills that do not require him to move around much. There are endless possibilities for him out there. But before he can move forward, he must learn to shed every bitterness in his heart; forgive himself and learn to love himself the way he is. Good luck to him. So sad! May her killers meet similar or worse fate. May they never have the opportunity to repent before they meet their excruciating end. Having said that, until the Nigeria government takes the lives of its citizens seriously by installing CCTV cameras in every corners of Nigeria, the government would continue to be culpable for the lives of Nigerians snuffed out by criminals. If China, a country almost half the size of Africa, has installed CCTV cameras in every public places, bus stops, parks, schools, markets, streets...why can't Nigeria do the same in spite of all the money it has? Our leaders are very heartless. 1 Like |

planetx: No doubt a number of places in Africa are naturally alluring, aesthetic and all that. Aside from few cities in South Africa and in North Africa can you name one country or city in sub saharan Africa that is as beautiful as The Czech Republic in terms of architecture, preserved edifices, good road networks...? My dream is to see Africa fully developed. But while I'm dreaming that dream I should be able to unabashedly say that another country is more beautiful than mine. 3 Likes 1 Share |

properties4sale: People protest in Europe. Protests take place in America. France is all too familiar with protests. As I type this words there are pockets of protests going on in Myanmar because the military there usurped the outcome of a democratic election. The right to peaceful protest is sacrosanct. The protesters arrested by the police today at the Lekki Tollgate were neither violent nor destructive. The protesters were there to protest against the reopening of the toll gate while the inquiry into deadly events that occurred there last year has not yet concluded. Why the rush to reopen the tollgate? Why the heavy-handed treatment of the peaceful protesters? Couldn't the police have ensured the protest was peaceful and orderly as it is often done in saner climes? Abegi! |

darkwan: "Bandits, Ipobians"! You're saying Ibos played parts in scuttling last year's Lekki Tollgate protest? Those a serious allegation. Do you have any evidences to back up your claim? Were Ibos responsible for the ransacking, looting that occurred at the palace of the Oba of Lagos? Were they (Ibos) also responsible for the looting that occured in parts of Surulere or other parts of Lagos? |

I wish Nigeria were doing the same thing. But No! Nigeria is interested in building cows than building human capacity, industries and fostering innovations. |
