There’s always someone for everyone. The problem arises from trying to make someone who’s not into your beliefs into living your lifestyle.
I’m sure you have many women in your church who think like you too. When the time comes, you will find one. Don’t get frustrated trying to get with the woman who believes in premarital sex to keep herself for you.

The Nigerians you’re asking for help don’t even have constant electricity. grin Your best bet would be Nigerians abroad who might have a bit to spare. Gas is a luxury to some of us. By TV license I guess you mean cable right? Lol.

Your £1,000 a month is what BIG men in naija make. The ones on this forum that make anything close to 200,000 monthly (less than £500) are feeling themselves like the catch of the century.
My point is that you’re rich by our standards. grin

We don’t care if all that money goes straight to bills or not. At least you have something to pay your bills with. The last thing the average NL member here will do is to contribute money for you to sponsor your husband to travel to UK to see you. When we are hating on those who left like they owe us for leaving. We all die here together grin

If your story is genuine, I feel sorry for you and hope things work out for you guys.

Exactly what I said.

I first saw her post on Instagram and I thought (as did most other people) that she meant sacrificing a lot of her time and pleasures in her 20s to build a life of financial stability by saving and avoiding extravagant items.

NLders and marriage when it comes to women sha

monex:
there is nothing in her post to suggest she sacrificed marriage or that she is currently single.

She claims she sacrificed her 20s. Those bribing up the "Marriage vs Career" balancing question have made assumptions about her that are not in her post.

How did you determine she didn’t want marriage?

Nothing in her post said anything about not being married
izzou:
That's one fact about life almost everyone doesn't understand

People have their choices and priorities in life.

She wanted a career, not marriage. And she's happy about it. Everyone has their own definition and version of happiness

So no need to remind her about menopause. She wasn't interested from the beginning

Family › Re: If A Man Must Have Car, House And Job Before Marriage, What Must A Woman Have? by cococandy(f): 4:09am On Dec 04, 2019
1) Nigerian women don’t bring anything to the table. That’s very rich coming from POOR guys in their 30s who consider women over 30 to be evening newspaper and as such not suitable for marriage. So that girl in her early 20s (prime marriageable age in their opinion) is supposed to bring to the table the same things that he has had a decade or more to acquire (And couldn’t even acquire BTW). Makes a lot of sense. Stupid.

2) when women do commit to try to better themselves so as not to be objects of ridicule at the hands of these misinformed disgusting misogynistic assholes, she must be shut down because women who have careers and aspirations beyond being always available for the family can never make good moms and wives since they will not have enough time to pay attention the needs of the man. Isn’t that what she’s existing for?

As soon as those of you on this thread who indulge them in what may seem like dialogue save your energies, the better for you . By now you should have figured out that whatever you say makes no difference since the main goal for them is to always be on the side of the argument that is currently belittling women no matter how nonsensical and detached from reality it is.

Even when their posts on each thread contradict each other but are always pandering to the POV that most belittle women at the moment. Even when they’ve had mothers and know women who contributed more than vagiina to the marriages and families. I can’t understand having civil conversations with known misogynistic trolls whose sole purpose is not to have a discourse with you but to try and demean you. You people are trying. Cuss them TF out and move on.

Threads like this will always keep popping up because for the average NL male poster, one day without a woman bashing thread is a day gone without food. You keep feeding them by acting like their stupid egotistic opinions matters to anyone but them and face-me-I-face apartments.

So going by the original post, it’s safe to assume that majority of men in Nigeria bring nothing to the table since we know that more than half the country is living in poverty. And all you’re expected to bring is a house and car. Yet many of you can’t even afford decent care for yourselves let alone a whole family.

Stupid thread.

Is the key word.

Mindfulness:
But it's only in retrospective people would call him that. When did he live and write? In the 1920s? One of his assumptions was that the many women who suffered from hysteria during his time did so because of suppressed sexual desires which they were expected to suppress back in the day, even partly in marriage, so I think that he was quite progressive and his diagnosis rather liberating.
Family › Re: Thoughts On Thread: She Married An Old Fashioned Man, Kindly Advise Her by cococandy(f): 11:20pm On Dec 03, 2019
We still do learn and uphold some of Freud’s theories in preparation for comprehensive pediatric care.

He did indeed struggle with misogyny and sexual ‘misidentity’ (if you will) as did many men in his era. Nay even in this era.

yeyeosoronga:
So, we have assumed the initial OP has a cheating husband and we are we trying to say his cheating is due to psychological reasons?
Wetin Musa no go see for gate
While Sigmund 'Fraud' is well known controversially in his field of psychology and perhaps even seen as the father by some, majority of his assertations have been proven to be 'catastrophically' wrong. His works are not seen as credible enough to be used as a reliable source in the academic environment. His theories, methods, and conclusions have all been put into doubt. He was a known misogynist btw.
To have even considered a theory by Mr 'Fraud' shows you are really old school in your thoughts.
There's more advancement in the knowledge of the human brain and its psychology, and there is very little empirical evidence to back up majority of Freud's claims.

But I guess we can still discuss his works, for the sake of discussions and not as facts

Madam OP, you are old school. wink

Psychoses
LewsTherin:
This is not likely to work. Deep seated psychosis (what's the plural? Psycosi? Psycosises?)

Deep seated psycosis(?) like this are usually very irrational. It takes a trained mind to help resolve them. Especially (as is very likely) when the person doesn't believe there is anything wrong. Do you expect the average Nigerian to agree he is mad? That is exactly how they look at it. They wouldn't think it is a psycosis, or a mental blockage, or some fancy American diagnosis. It's gonna be "are you saying I am a mental patient?"

Therapy with a shrink would have been the best. In the absence of that, speaking with an experienced pastor would be the best option. Most pastors in Nigeria double as shrinks these days anyway. Little wonder they are all getting crazy!

This is what I use too.
It’s the one most African and Asian stores carry here.

Who has time to process raw palm fruit. Where will you even see it to buy.

This is good I can attest.
sassysure:
So I used this to prepare ofe akwù grin

The concentrate has òsùkwù taste just like the picture depicted but agric one. The smell is like Ghanaian palm oil. It's like puree and very thick.
But when it start boiling, the taste reduces. U need to garnish with stuffs that has strong smell so u won't notice the taste. I used dry catfish, okpei, green spicy pepper( it has a very distinct sharp smell) and bullion cube. Also dry scent leaves and basil leaves.

Will give it 90%. Will have giving it 100 but because it does not smell like our palm fruit.
I'm highly impressed.
My oga don't know what ofe akwù is but he ate more than he would have eaten with our normal stew. As for the rest, the rice pot is empty tongue kiss
So u guys can try it.

Fyngal1 u can check it out.

Sell your phone and buy sense. Multiply indeed
AnanseK:
Let me start with a disclaimer. I respect women and some of my closest relatives are women. I sympathize with women who are violated and will always want to see rapists severely punished.

But I want us to remember that when God said “ Go forth and multiply “, He didn’t leave it as a rhetoric only. He backed it by action . He assigned this important role to the man and equipped him with millions and millions of seed ( sperms). God did not stop there, he engraved this compulsion in the genomes of men so much so that the drive of some men to implement this decree by copulating is uncontainable, it is madness as in this case.

Since such uncontrollable maniacal drive to fulfil this decree exists in some men , we should please be circumspect and be practical in prevention. I promise to educate all my girl children of the existence of this madness.

I still support severe punishment for Rapists. But prevention is better than cure.

The truth is that it is only habitual for women to play the victim...it will surprise u to know that nothing of such actually happened, this might be her own way of getting back at the guy for maybe dumping her or refusing to grant a request made by her.

Nobody cares what you find credible or not. So shut up
itsme01:
shocked

never trust a man named OBO

Now this is a rape story i find credible... there was violence, act of intimidation and witnesses

Her description matches the day we walked in on our rapist friend and had to rescue the girl, the dude was like a monster with scar and scratches on both rapist and the victim and everywhere scarttered , sweat mixed with mucor... it took like three of us to free this girl from the guy, cos as we later heard it was a Cult test or fraternity trail

not some of this bullshit stories we hear , that the victim doesnt make noise or attract any witness or even ask the rapist to put on condom
