It is all about being in the position of power. The average African elder will gladly profess his preference for whatever favours him and massages his ego.

Some lecturer too get threatened by cultist students.
Also of note is the fact that most lecturers belong to the system or major clique of cultists of their school and have access to student cultists as well as take care of them.
