I am sure if the distribution of the cylinder was dominated by northerners, no one would parade an idea like this in public.

Safety can be enforced at the point of refill but our gofament don't want that. They want all those Igbo boys to start selling burners.
Family › Cooking Gas Consumers’ll No Longer Own Cylinders – FG by CodeTemplar(op): 3:38pm On May 21, 2019
The Federal Government, Tuesday, said it is coming up with a policy that would remove the ownership of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG, cylinders from consumers.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ forum on LPG penetration in Abuja, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, said the policy would require that the ownership of the cylinders rests strictly with the dealers and distributors, adding that this was part of strategy to deepen the penetration of LPG, also known as cooking gas and address issues of safety.
Kachikwu added that the Federal Government had reached an agreement with two original cylinder manufacturers to deliver 600,000 cylinders to LPG distributors on credit, with a pre-payment period of 18 months.
He stated that the Federal Government would in the next couple of days commence the clampdown of illegal roadside LPG dealers, while he directed all skid operators of LPG to immediately convert their outlets to micro distribution centres before the enforcement begins.

Really sad that the average Nigerian youth is so narrow-minded and cheap thinking. It's safe to conclude that given the opportunity as a leader to execute this kind of project or even offer any meaningful solution, you won't be able to because of self-induced pessimism, cynism and lack of vision.

The current not so great old leaders are definitely better than the average Nigerian youths.
Stop overreacting. The guy stated the obvious and what he said doesn't in anyway mean he opposes building of such power unit but means he is concerned about what most of the power may be wasted on.

The idiot actually renting an helicopter to travel to ota is the most ridiculous part of this whole scandal.

They need to confiscate all his properties and sell them for all it's worth. It's amazing how Oyedepo got to find out about this while mingling with area boys in Ota. Just imagine if he didn't come out to vote on that faithful day.
You know ill gotten wealth has a way of loosening the connection between the brain and the fingers. Dude was flying helicopter from Lagos to Ota like he is an important fellow billed for an important event.

The part where the VC rejected the gift of an expensive car reminds me of something that happened. Some about-to-graduate students felt the need to appreciate him then as a departmental lecturer, and decided that since he was a "big boy" or very comfortable financially, they bought him a small but presentable gift of about 4k-5k. Dude rejected their gift and told them it is more blessed to give than to receive.

If he had accepted such an expensive gift from the Danny Owolo guy, only God knows what would have become of him now. Though intelligent, he was too trusting in this matter. Hope he learns.

You're spiritual daftness knows no bounds, I mean do you think everyone is a worshipper of mammon as you and your blind guide?

I wish you knew who you're talking to, you'd know that in terms of true riches, Oyedepo has nothing compared to me.

Of course I don't expect you to know what true riches are, since you judge persons by earthly riches with your mammonic mindset.

Oyedepo's success Lol!

One of the greatest joke I've ever heard!

Oyedepo is an absolute failure in my sight, for I don't judge a man based on how much possession he has for my Master taught me so.
Since it is Oyedepo's prosperity messages you are after, i present you some bible verses in support of prosperity.

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth .

Joshua 1:8 King James Version (KJV)
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Oya, fight God's words!

I think Freeze has a point, for I wouldn't be surprised if Naira Marley is a product of the mammonic doctrines of today's church leaders which tells you poverty Is a curse and a disease, etc., so he did everything to make sure that he was cursed and inflicted by the disease called poverty.

So that when he has hammered whichever way whether by stealing or yahoo he'd come and get the front row seat of the church as someone who's blessed and has made it according to the prophets of mammon.

And they would tell him to bring in the tithes and offering into the house of the Lord regardless of how he made his money.

#deadchurch

Luke 12:15 (KJV)

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
See this one. So because "poverty is a curse" doctrine was spread by some, we should blame them for anyone who glorifies ill gotten wealth.
People were already getting money the crooked way long before what we like to call the prosperity preachers and their doctrines became popular.

good one, isnt it wonderful how a VC is very proud of building a generating set in 2019, when other colleges are partnering with NASA to conquer the Galaxy..... well never late than never
While I don't celebrate the feat of a bio fuel generation by UNN, people equally don't go to the moon with epileptic power supply and next to zero funding.
The gen set clearly isn't worth any hype. If done by student as project then I would have taken them seriously.

Praise be to Allaah.

Thank you my brother i am happy you asked this question and insha Allah may God give me the ability to answer your question.

Like i have said in the previous thread. Lets take a look at the word Christian first. Where does the word come from.

The name Christian given by the Greeks or Romans, probably in reproach, to the followers of Jesus. It was first used at Antioch. The names by which the disciples were known among themselves were "brethren," "the faithful," "elect," "believers." But as distinguishing them from the multitude without, the name "Christian" came into use, and was universally accepted... This name Christian occurs but three times in the New Testament ( Acts 11:26 ; 26:28 ; 1 Peter 4:16 ). Look at the whole of old testament and tell me where the word Christian appear. It was after Jesus Christ Left that the word Christian came up.. This is to tell you that being a Christian is not a religion but just an identity of the followers of Jesus Christ and what is the Religion of Jesus Christ Himself. I swear by Allah. It is Islam Jesus didn't bring his own religion because he said in the bible in Mattew 5: 17::::: Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Even Jesus acknowledge that God has sent prophets before him and they all worship one God which he also has came with.. Jesus never mention anywhere in the bible that you should worship him.

Like i always say The Word '' Muslim '' In English mean '' '' Submittor '' in other words .. Those that submit to the will of the almighty God. Those that doesn't worship any other thing beside God and those that accept all the messenger of God and the message God sent them with.

So all the prophets mentioned in the bible are all submittors meaning Muslim and their religion is Islam.

Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, tells us that Jesus (upon whom be peace) was raised up to heaven just one time, in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning): “But Allaah raised him up (with his body and soul) unto Himself…” [al-Nisa’ 4:158] and Allaah does not tell us that Jesus was sent back to this earth. So those who claim that Jesus was sent back to this earth have to bring us evidence and proof. If they cannot do that – and they will never be able to do it – then their argument has no basis.
Where was Jesus allegedly raised from by Allah?
