Oga, the industries that powered industrialization were largely the works of Christian? That doesn't mean they prayed allthrough. They prayed and worked unlike Africans who like prayer and favour. Isaac Newton, Nikolas Tesla, Micheal Faraday go check well the average great scientist who succeded were Christians. |

I hope those hating on the Church for maintaining certain academic standard - and by extension financial standard - see how the fee is translating into good work. School isn't about getting your certificate for N100k over four years then bragging about getting same jobs as CU grads. It goes beyond that. |

One Mustafa Haffysa, reminded Adesina that the President had in 2015 criticised the then government of former President Goodluck Jonathan on a similar case . [/b] “ It is unacceptable to ignore or minimise the deaths of Nigerian citizens during elections . It is heart- breaking . This must change , ” Buhari had tweeted on January 13, 2015. When contacted for clarification on the statement , Adesina did not pick his calls and had yet to respond to a text message sent to him as of press time.

Politics › What Are The Key Plans Of Presidential Aspirants For These Pressing Issues? by CodeTemplar(op): 3:05am On Nov 27, 2018 |
Nigerians are known to react to pressing issues on social media always but when election time approaches we hardly seek the opinion of top candidates concerning these pressing issues. This pattern has made it far too easy for leaders with sectional interest to come on board and manifest their corrupt tendencies. For this reason I am opening this thread to help articulate pressing issues I feel presidential candidates need to take a clear stance on.
Some of these issues are : Herdsmen / farmers clash PIGB Federal character principle Education funding and corrupt learning institutions The NNPC underperformance issues. Corrupttion Restructuring Food security Diversification of economy from crude sales Boko Haram Police ND oil clean up Debt management Agricultural plan Health sector plan Power sector plans Ease of doing business |

princfred: I refuse to agree they are not for profit making because what they charge in Nigeria and what other profit making universities in Nigeria charge is similar abi the other ones charging similar fees and lesser are non profit too?
Other things give money does not mean school don't give money and that opening one is stupid.
Though am not even a proponent of churches building industries but am for them building humanitaranian structures instead but if you insist on your point then i ask: so why not non profit industries only charging the cost of production? Profit is a function of what is delivered as final service and what was charged for it. Are you saying all private schools are equal? NUC regulates them but the fact that the standard in Nigeria is super low has given some private universities the huge room to explore international standards and we are all seeing the result of such dreams. |
Education › Re: North West Has The Least Number Of Private Universities - NUC by CodeTemplar: 12:41am On Nov 27, 2018 |
SpoiltVirgin: Buhari should open one for them. With his salary of course. Private unis are sited according to the choice of private individuals and I dont think it will be special even if 99% of all private unis are sited in one LGA. It is just the choice of the person establishing that school nothing more. |

HigherEd: You people are ridiculous. Why don't you go and join the battle. My friend in the military posted to borno told me that the average weapons boko uses is anti aircraft guns. Their range and intensity is superior to the AK47 Nigerian soldiers. Until Nigeria starts procuring F-16s and the like capable of giving cover then Nigeria may continue to lose this battle.
It might be time for us to call in the US Airforce for assistance in this war. Agreed, the Nigerian Army needs powerful guns to match BH but what happens when they turn those guns on peaceful Nigerians trying to protest a noble cause? |

Ui is using old glory yet their scholars are one of the most published scholars in the country, an old glory that has the highest number of fellows in the Nigerian academy of science, ditto for academy of letters... If ui is using old glory then futa had no glory, currently has no glory and will never have any glory... Some people are just professional empty boasters. 1Sharon: You lot aren't getting it. The money the government allowed to be invested in a church could have instead been given to the Nigerian defence.
Freeze is talking about PRIORITIES Why not go and ask politicians holding drug fueled parties to donate their money towards the army or even states like Sokoto and Kano that build Mosques with state money to buy bigger guns for the army. The church is nothing more than a private group of individuals funding their collective activities they believe in. Just like society women contribute to buy matching attires and meet, the church fund their activities and also encourage members to give unto Buhari, what is Buhari's. Get it? |

TwoBottles: Religion is responsible for Nigeria's backwardness. If the many churches and Mosques we have in this country were turned to skill acquisition centers, Nigeria would become the best country on planet earth. Are you for real? Why didn't your fore fathers repel white Christians with their advancement before religion was imposed on them? There are churches in America and Canada also so stop that crap. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Inside The Glory Dome, Dunamis Abuja, World’s Largest Church Auditorium by CodeTemplar: 9:52pm On Nov 25, 2018 |
Jasmine17: Thats the only thing we can boast of as Nigerians
The largest church in the world.
The most corrupt country in the universe.
The country with highest poverty level in the world.
Other nonsense awards
Other countries are striving to have the highest livability index, lowest poverty/unemployment rate, first to stop using petrol cars, First in good things.
And you wonder why citizens are running away from the country in droves
Nigeria is a Joke. In those countries the pope isn't asked to build or support industries but the government is held accountable for those. The best uni in Nigeria is a church owned University. Politicians are voted in and paid heavily to support industries and not pastors. Muslims even use state funds meant for industries to build mosques but folks like you are never on those threads to complain. |
