Voy:Reno has a point. Unfortunately this would likely still have happened regardless of whoever was in government because it is a fundamental imbalance in the structure of the country. A situation where 90% of forex comes from oil and oil crashes to $10, and population keeps increasing and importation keeps growing, what did we expect to happen. |

What is major about those roads? |
tollyboy5:Read properly! It said 6 gun trucks. Of course there would have been others on bikes and on foot with their own guns. |
Tetehjewels:I tell you. I keep failing to understand when I read all this news of BH and ISWAP attacking a military base for hours. All we need is active 3 or 4 helicopter gunships available to provide air support when needed and these shouldn't be happening. The moment a large contingent of terrorists is seen approaching any military base, they should immediately radio for help and air support should be available in 30mins. Surely a chopper in Maiduguri can get to most places in borno state in 30mins. Alternatively we should get like 4 weaponised military drones that can stay in the air for as long as 24 hours and 2 can take shifts every 24 hours to provide air support to ground forces and barracks as needed. |
Ilaumoh:So they told you IOC cannot build their own building of they want to? |
I think Moghalu, Sowore, durotoye, Oby etc should form a political party and try to get elected into the senate in the first instance. And then from there, we if they provide good leadership, they can plot for one of them to go forward for president in say 2030. Cos reality is that non of them have a chance trying to vie for the presidency from scratch. In Nigeria, the you can only win if you go under the ticket of either PDP or APC. That is the unfortunate truth. We still practice money politics for the poverty stricken populace and not intellectual politics. So intellectuals will never win on that basis alone. |
lalasticlala:Chiimas record was 7.12m actually |
stephanie11:Good one! If out justice system can't get any of these corrupt people, we will have to rely on foreign justice systems. 90% of all those who flaunt big wealth at parties etc are all dubious in one form or the other. There are very few people who legitimately work for their money cleany and will come and spary N10mln or $10k just like that. |
This is very likely a waste of money because all other things that need to be in place to support this are not in place, except you can tell me that: - Lagos has a form of facial recognition software - lagos has a comprehensive database of plate numbers and who the owners of these plate numbers are and where they reside ( most people use fake addresses for vehicle license and drivers license reg and even if correct have moved once or twice and addresses never updated) - lagos has locations of all police vehicles on patrol via GPS and can immediately deploy from the control center to deal with any issue. - that we even have a statewide or national emergency number that links directly to the control center. |
Joshcoli:Did you look at the list at all? How have you deduced from that list that there are 95% Christians |
savcy:Diamond bank was taken over, which is a normal thing that can happen in business. Not sure it’s right to say Diamond bank went under. |
habsydiamond:I hope you know all these wonderful things you mentioned about other countries is paid for by tax! Money doesn't fall from anywhere in UK and US, but from the taxes on people and industry. The steps that will make Nigeria really work for the long term come with some pain that Nigerians want to avoid at all costs, so we keep beating around the Bush for decades. Government cannot give you progress, especially in Nigeria where government is so corrupt. The fastest way to progress and development is through the private sector and private sector comes with profit making mechanism, which which makes things efficient. People will only get involved if there is money in it and will find ways to reduce cost to maximise profit, part of which filters down to the people at some point. Telecoms sector brought investment, higher paying jobs, Internet and through Internet brand new businesses that wouldn't have been possible 20 years ago. Imagine we had 10 thriving sectors like: telecoms, nollywood, manufacturing, semi conductors, construction, gold mining, financial services, shipping, tourism etc. All paying good salaries and each bringing in billions of USD in investment per year. In 30 years, you won't believe the change. That's how China, Singapore, Vietnam, Brazil changed their destiny through the private sector. Privatise Airport, NLC will come and say no! Deregulate petrol refining and we all cry it will be hard. Sack overbloated and unproductive civil service, but NLC will shut down state. Make NPA and NTA profit making, and lean organisations, and but NLC will say you cannot sack workers. Pay proper price for electricity, electricity and na lie. Meanwhile banks, oil companies and many others who have seen revenues drop due to covid have reduced staff and heaven did not fall. |
helinues:That's the dumbest thing I've heard all year!! |
whirlwind7:Don’t mind them. Nigeria was in the top 5 traffic to porn sites globally, Nigerians throng to escort sites for sexual fantasies, Clubs and lounges are full on weekends with men and young ladies frolicking, but we all start to criticize the guy like say ha we holy pass. Anyone who even follows naija Marley on social media to be able to comment back can’t be any different if an naira Marley you see follow. |
moriss33:BVN and NIN identy the owner, and but doesn't help anyone track the phone. That's the difference. I understand Imei can be used to track phone even when switched off due to minute pings with cell tower. |
spinna:It's not actually. Amazing how Nigerians want the best of everything, but don't want any regulation so they can be off the grid and hide. In most countries government has access to much more info about citizens. If I have nothing to hide, what is the big deal. Only thing though is how do they collect this data. Once it can be done electronically without anyone going to queue at MTN office, we will so be it. Besides knowing Nigeria, we will after collecting the data they will have no clue what to do with it. |
RobbStark:Be deceiving yourself that rivers state is safe |
Odumeje no show for here? |
Loverboy3333:Probably not. In all likelihood these are results of poor quality education from public primary school and all through to university. While they may be graduates, you and I know that our universities are full of non entities (both male and female) that are just their to mark time and collect certificate. Absolutely no studying. The get through by cheating and dubbing in exams and then sorting afterwards. |
9icest:Is there any state with good leaders!? The my friend, all are the same across the 36 States. |
NewFolm4:Lawman has a point though. Are Governors any better with the way they cage the LG, State Houses of Assembly and Judiciary? |
odiomachi:Shouldn't they know where they are going to live before coming blindly to lagos? All the Nigerians in UK, US and Canada, did they go there to sleep under bridge? |
RemoveKebab:There might be other parts of the track that they have also stolen besides what is shown in the picture! |
Newsmic:While it is indeed disgusting, this is part of the reason why covid is not wreaking havoc in Nigeria and Africa. Besides melon, what of suya!? The hands that they use to handle the meat, where have those hands been? In their noses, in their butt when they wash up after nos 2, in the dustbin etc. And these are people who hardly use soap to wash their hands. If at all they wash it, it's usually only with water. |
powerfulguy:Can't these doctors be bribed to inject Bubu with something!! ![]() |
hubcruz:No such thing as a V4 engine!! |
Fejoku:Mumu! Which war have you fought before? |
lalasticlala: |
lalasticlala:That's Nigeria for you. If they wan to give this job to KB now, we will say Nigerian engineers are capable. Na im be that! |
