My dear muslim/northern/hausa/fulani brothers and sisters. Culture is made for man, man is not made for culture. What obtained in the past that made people marry out their underage daughter does not obtain any more. The world is changing and people should not leave their daughters handicapped in this new world.

Please let them go to school, let them learn a trade. There are girls like them growing up to be medical doctors, finance ministers, Opec president, etc. They don't have two heads. Give your daughters the opportunity to become something in life and contribute to humanity. It was a female doctor, God rest her soul, who lost her life to save Nigeria from Ebola.

Wow!!,All the yorubas I know support Jimi Agbaje. In fact even before the presidential election, the mantra was Buhari for president and Jimi Agbaje for governor. I don't think that has changed especially now, most yorubas have good and tight Igbo friends, and relatives in Lagos whom they love and would not take this threat to their lives lightly.

I have viewed all the responses here and all I can say is if everyone here has watched 'Sometimes in April' or 'Hotel Rwanda', we would all unanimously and in the strongest terms possible condemn these comments. No tribe has the monopoly of violence, therefore one should not encourage such outrageous comments with the belief that they are safe because they belong to a certain tribe. When a war begins, it has no family or friends, everyone loses one way or another.

Let everyone vote who they want and whoever emerges the winner then so be it, everyone else falls in line.

This could be true though. A serving soldier once told us that their instruction from above in the past 6 years was to defend against boko haram, never to attack. It is with the involvement of other countries now that boko haram is seeing problems because the soldiers are no longer under the control of the Nigerian government.

The spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign organization, Femi Fani-Kayode has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of trying to force a dying man into office to achieve ulterior motives.

Femi Fani-Kayode has said that the leaders of the APC know that its Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari has “prostate cancer, acute asthma and that he suffers from dementia” and as such wouldn’t last long in office if elected.

The PDP spokesperson stated that the major plan of the APC leadership is for Vice-Presidential candidate, Yemi Osinbajo to hand over to party leader, Bola Tinubu after Buhari’s likely demise.

Fani-Kayode stated this during a press conference on Friday, February 27.

“Since the formation of the APC it has been an open secret that Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu is its national leader and also its biggest financier. The question that should agitate every Nigerian is why Tinubu has been investing heavily in the APC presidential project to such a point that he has single-handed produced the joint presidential ticket of Buhari and Osinbajo,” Fani-Kayode said.

“It should baffle well-meaning Nigerians why Senator Tinubu has decided to draft Buhari, despite his age, acrimonious background and questionable health status, into the presidential race whilst ensuring that his stooge, Osinbajo was foisted on the general as vice presidential candidate. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation wishes to use this forum to expose the ungodly plan by Senator Tinubu to seize the presidency of Nigeria by subterfuge,” he added.

“Senator Tinubu, according to our information, has compelled Professor Osinbajo to swear to an oath that after six months in office, he would resign as the vice president, in the unlikely event that their party wins.The wicked plot, as laid out by them, is to force Professor Osinbajo to resign for Senator Tinubu to be nominated by General Buhari as his replacement. The ultimate objective of this plot is to ensure that Tinubu becomes President,” Fani Kayode continued.

Fani-Kayode accused Tinubu of basing his evil scheme on Buhari’s ‘questionable health.’

“The script is simple: given the questionable health of General Buhari, Senator Tinubu who is desperate to be president for his own selfisfh reasons will simply bid his time in the evil expectation that General Buhari will not be able to go the whole hog,” Fani-Kayode said.

“Becoming the vice president is not the destination but becoming the president! The agenda of the cabal within the APC is with the perceived health challenges of General Buhari. They have told themselves in hushed tones that he has prostate cancer, acute asthma and that he suffers from dementia. All structures around Buhari are all Tinubu’s structures. All the actors around Buhari that are driving his campaign behind the scenes are all Tinubu’s men,” the PDP spokesperson continued.

“Most of the covert funding for this campaign comes from Tinubu’s friend outside the country and from Tinubu himself. So, if he becomes President, Buhari will become virtually incapacitated and he will not be the one running the government. Those behind this plan would now be waiting for Buhari to pass on. That is what Tinubu want to do to the North and to Nigeria,” Fani-Kayode said

“Our candid advice to General Buhari is: Watch your back,” he concluded.

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti has also repeatedly accused the APC of covering up Buhari’s true health status ».

I once in my ignorance made the comment that why can't Jonathan just send an army into boko haram hide outs and just wipe them out, then the person I directed the question to now said that what Nigerians don't understand is that boko haram are not just in the bush. They are the muslim man sitting next to you, your muslim colleague, your muslim customer in those insurgency torn states. He reminded me of the father that donated his daughter to them. He said that these boko haram are firmly integrated inside the citizenry and only prayers can help Nigeria be rid of them. May God help us all.

The problem is that our military have forgotten and or have ignored the indisputable fact that defense is the best form of attack. This is not a time to sit back and wait for boko haram to attack. They have to take the fight to them, hunt them down and take them out.

That is why people believe that the federal government is behind boko haram because they are not going after them aggressively, till now their weapons are still inferior and they are always chased out of their barracks or base when boko haram attacks. Whereas, ordinary untrained hunters defeat this same boko haram from time to time. Its just a bad situation. May God help us all.
