Debt like this is serious but can be worked on. Very simply.

1. If you've been with a company for multiple years, tell them. They can spread your repayment over 1 or even 2 years.

2. Immediately try to boost income. Uber, food, if you're okay (and for serious debt), other less than wholesome means.

3. Immediately cut off all unnecessary and semi necessary expenses. No, you don't need to drink coke every day. No, you don't need to watch DStv or TV for a few months.

4. See if you can file for bankruptcy or get an agreement with the lender. You'd probably have to give them access to your bank account but try to get them to remove all fees and only charge you interest on the loan.

5. PAY BACK!!!

Don't even think of using lottery.

After how many years?? You sef never tire with this excuse?

Are you saying that India was not colonized?

I know all this 100 percent but you have to understand the black man is still reeling from the effect of colonialism.

This is our downfall.

See the way Indians, Arabs, Asian do.

E.g. An Indian truck driver will use his spare time to teach other Indians how to drive truck.

Indian business owners will give jobs to other Indians and help them get cars (which the people will work to pay off).

Indians and others are ready to share a 1 bedroom among 3 people. Even allowing people with less funds to sleep in the sitting room.

They become lifelong friends and work WITH each other to succeed.

jesmond3945:
if you are newly arrived you see others as competitors.

Pretty much all international transactions in Nigeria (including with diasporeans) start on these platforms.

Cutting these platforms will have crazy repercussions on the country's GDP.

I think 1 - 2 years experience is okay.

Some provinces have equivalencies or/and accelerated training programs to get you Canadian recognized nursing qualification.

The CNA/HSW education programs are 8 months long and cost less than $7,000 I think.

Quebec is paying for PAP/PCA/HSW programs I think.

Eyanbahose:
does one need to have an experienced in this field before leaving? How much will it cost? And what's the process like?

I'll appreciate your response

I can't recommend as the last time I interfaced with one was many years ago.

From what I recall, if you had 10 - 30% of investment visa funds, they would loan the rest at ~10%.

I'm surprised that few people suggest this rural program.

They are literally begging everyone to come do it.

Cousin9999:
Study in Spain. It's dirt cheap. Then maybe pursue the PNP program for a rural Canada visa, or go to the US since they'll let anyone in.
Travel › Re: Pls Which Country Can I Travel To With ₦1.5 Million To Hustle? by cooooooks(m): 12:53am On Jun 02, 2021
Second suggestion.

If you're willing, go get a nursing certificate in an Asian country. Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.

Then use that certificate to go to Canada, US, Europe as a nurse.

The health sector is in SERIOUS need abroad and there are established routes from Asia. Even more than Nigeria.
Travel › Re: Pls Which Country Can I Travel To With ₦1.5 Million To Hustle? by cooooooks(m): 12:51am On Jun 02, 2021
Check Canada.

Specifically, the Rural and Remote Communities Immigration Program.

That money is small but may be enough to get an immigration company to provide you the proof of funds (interest loan) needed for that program.

If your skill is in high demand or you are willing to settle down and do something short term, really consider Canada.

If you can do auxiliary nurse, Canada will work for you, especially in a remote rural community.

You will need to settle down and work for 2-3 years but once you're in, you're in.

Spoken like someone who doesn't invest.

How much is inflation?

How much is a dollar now?

How much is a flight to Dubai now?

itsme01:
smiley

Split your money into two, invest half into stocks of a very stable company, NB , MTN, FirstBank, GTB etc and use the rest to relocate to US and start your new hustling, if you can make 20 million hustling in Nigeria, chances are you would make 100 million in US because US is for smart thinkers and not dull people.. incase if things don't work out in US you can always fall back to your 10million naira stock

PS: before listening to people telling you to do business, 90% of all start ups in Nigeria don't survive the 3 years mark, forex changes, bad government policy, fraudulent staffs and all would finish your capital
