sassysure: Cos u guys are Nigerians and example of what we see at home.
I'm very serious. Men abuse women emotionally more.
One sentence and the woman will die Of course there are men like that, but if you're trying to sell the narrative that men are generally more verbally/emotionally abusive to women, sorry no one is buying. Even the Dalai Lama in all his serenity and calmness knows women are more of the perpetrators. |

sassysure: If a woman abuse u with words, u get mouth too. Make use of your mouth.
Meanwhile men get bad mouth more than women. The only difference is that women can endure more than men for peace to reign. Not just any woman. A woman I don't know or care for will definitely be ignored. But for a woman who calls herself my partner, who shares my bed and my life, to abuse me endlessly with her words, she has earned for herself a slap. No two ways about it. |

Starting from nairaland They are talking about couples, married or partners, you are talking of Nairaland. Wetin concern the women with the men on nairaland? |

lilmax: You should always slap a woman when she enters that idiotic phase Always. I cannot abide a woman who constantly abuses and riles me up. I will excuse it in a stranger and walk away because I don't owe them my emotions, but with my own partner, she will be given a reboot - just one slap... no more, no less. My apology will come afterwards. |

If I wasn't preempted to conduct a survey when I saw the manager of a multinational prostituiting at lekki at nite I wouldn't have properly understood what was going on. It's a lengthy manner. However I maintain, while education ought to refine and build up, it's doing the opposite of its objective with our ladies. Yes there are exceptions, however the norm is too many are destroyed by their fakeness. I conducted real life surveys even supported by women to the facts I publish here. Not just speaking from boredom. You know me Okay I figure maybe I need to clear up the exact type of education I base my assertions on. @bold text: Formal education in itself which is based on proven principles, have no direct link with the untoward behaviors of the modern woman. The faux education however being given to these women on the platform of modernity, encompassing feminism, gender equality, social equality, etc, this is what is actually responsible for the problems we are facing, because it not based on any proven principle. But I certainly get your point. |

Blessings and curse need a platform to work.
Blessings even more so.
You know how many people who are delivered from curses every service? No one said there are no people living under the bondage of curses. Just don't sell the narrative that any of these curses are sanctioned or instituted on the authority of God. This is blasphemous to Christian doctrine. |

Healthserve, I saw your mention.
Regarding the topic: While it seems there is a connection to be made between education and conceited behavior in women, I certainly do not see the alternative (illiteracy/being uneducated) as the solution.
As a matter of fact, true education rests in the understanding that good character and exemplary social behaviors are very important aspects of a truly educated person.
A woman with all the degrees and certificates but without an exemplary attitude and social character, is really not fully educated to me. Same way an illiterate woman with all the exemplary social manners and attitudes, is in fact quite educated enough to me, as is.
There is a reason why the standard verbose uttered while being presented with a Bachelor's degree usually goes something like this: "...having fulfilled the requirements of the University in character and in academics, we are pleased to..." Something of that sort but you get the point.
Although, these words have now become taken for granted in the Nigerian educational system, but believe me when I tell you, no erudite higher-learning institution anywhere in the world will ever graduate an all A's student who has a very questionable character. There must be a balance.
Only women who were given mushroom education see their literacy as a license for conceited behavior, and they are very easy to spot. |

Alooone: I got married to my husband in 2013, we are blessed with 2kids (a boy and a girl), in 2017...barely 2 weeks after giving birth to our son I was diagnosed with puepurium psychosis...a kind of mental illness that afflicts women that have just given birth and since it has been from one medication to another...now since after my diagnosis my husband has been a source of emotional, verbal and physical abuse... He blames my parents for everything as he feels "cheated " feeling that they knew all about my "sickness " before we got married and kept it from him..... He felt I was a liability and feels he is too young to shoulder such... There was nothing my husband didn't do to frustrate me... So around June this year I left my home to my father's house and have been there since, ...now since I have been there my husband hardly calls when he does he wants to speak with his children...he doesn't call my parents to ask about my well-being or that of his kids...sometimes I feel abandoned...now the issue is that the love I have for him is beginning to reduce sometimes I feel like letting him go and starting all over...other times I want to stay cos I think of my children's future. ....as for the psychosis ALL the symptoms have gone as am typing this now I have a job with a small private school and planning to either proceed with my masters or start a nursing programme so please I need your advice should I let him go LET HIM GO. |

Bullshiiít! Stories like this are what some of you women are using to deceive yourselves. The only people who have the power to lay curses sanctioned by God are those consecrated under the prophetic ministry, not just anyone- not even pastors. How can someone who herself is not consecrated & completely free from a life of sin be using God to lay curse on another person? All the curses una don dey curse Nigerian government and politicians for many years no dey ever work, is only boyfriends and husbands own that is working. |

I don't know who told some of these so-called Christians that the name of God can be invoked to lay curses anyhow.
How can you even think you can curse someone you share a roof with, have a child with, share bodily fluids with during sex, and still think it will not affect you.
Your head correct at all? |

I can't remember when I defined myself as a Christian/Yoruba/Woman or anything else. Who really cares? If someone doesn't ask, why should I divulge?
The posters hounding my threads now are actually new except they are old posters with alternate monikers.
Strangely, all my topics have been somewhat similar on women, ladies and family life.

Eku se oluwa! You might be the only one who still believes you are, considering that "feminists" don't typically have your views on these controversial subjects. Or do we refer to you as a feminist with a certain touch of jé né sais quoi? |

crackhaus The guy should move on, it's not rocket science. If his intention however was only to taste her coochie, then he can stick around BUT do no romantic talks or stvpid emotional exchanges. Just stay, maintain a cordial friendship, and wait till the day there's a chance to demolish her pum pum. But this one he's already talking about love, staying put will cause nothing else but unnecessary pain and the girl will just take him for a ride - nothing hurts me more than seeing a woman take a man for a ride. So better scram and go love someone else. |

bukatyne: Very funny at the bold.
I still do not know what you mean by pseudofeminism nor have I been a SJW.
All my threads have actually been controversial however, I wasn't very open about my stance on certain issues.
While I have never supported some things e.g. homosexuality, I was more on the 'as you please' side of the divide.
I stumbled on this article by Matt Walsh and it resonated with me: I did not want to be seen as close-minded so I was not too vocal about them.
I even created a thread out of it and resolved to be more vocal. It was also the year I would be 30 so it was part of my self-actualization goals.
Someone asked me if I changed church on a thread. Sad if people couldn't pinpoint my stance on certain issues earlier.
I have also stumbled on some posts of posters I never agreed with and realized that most posters (myself inclusive) read people's posts with previous fracas and conclusions without absorbing the specific post in front of us.
Some others even leave the issues at hand and tackle previous issues. Most read to respond and not understand the poster's particular point.
So I learnt to focus on what the poster is saying at that point whether I think he/she is anti/pro a particular stance.
I remember advicing a poster to follow doitforyou's opinion on a thread because it was brilliant. Doesn't change my opinion of her/him though.
I also engage to better understand and change my stance on housewifery for instance.
It has been all good.
http://www.dailywire.com/news/22991/christians-america-arent-close-minded-or-matt-walsh Oh but you were a feminist before, staunch feminist advocate for that matter, and I quite remember hounding you all over the forum for a while back then You may still be one now but I don't remember the last time you referred to yourself as one, neither do the other so-called feminists consider you a part of their pack anymore given how they always congregate like fleas in your threads to deal with a sell-out. Pseudo feminism and SJW (Social Justice Warrior), imply the same thing in context - the context being that the title bearer is as fake as a 50,000naira Rolex...shiny surface but completely bronze underneath. The contrast however is that while pseudo feminism describes a fake feminist who still lives under the financial disposition of a man/men, is still very servile and submissive to the man in her life, still considers hard work a man's forte, seeks to be respected just because she's a woman, prefers being treated softly and gently, etc, an SJW on the other hand, might be a true feminist in personal lifestyle, but she does not belong to any feminist group or organization, does not support/campaign for women causes outside the internet, has never attended a women rights workshop or campaign, the social media is her battleground for women activism - nothing happens outside this space in that respect. Try guessing where your former NL comrades fall under |

bukatyne: Maybe they wanted to live the life through you. Which makes them technically same as you
And the fact a lady doesn't drink, smoke, party, club, change sex partners like underwear etc. does not mean she is boring or not exciting.
Let's just say I pursue pleasure with a conscience.
Anything pleasurable without being morally wrong or a sin, count me in. Totally wrong. They were trying to change me. That was actually the period in my life that I understood perfectly why most girls/women instinctively prefer being with the rebellious guy whom they know they cannot fully control. They in fact, have a cocaine-like addiction to the thrill of being the special one who will change him or at least make him dampen a little just to accommodate her limits. About 3/4 of the lady friends I have right now at this point in my life (exes turned friends, flings turned friends, friends remaining friends), are the same ones I have known since that time - I'm talking about a 15yr span. |

truthsayer009: What is your take on polyandry though, do you think Nigeria women can cope in reality? It would also involve giving birth for 2 different Men living in same house.
I know Men cannot cope. Nigerian woman to marry more than one husband? Recipe for total disaster. No Nigerian women will ever be able to cope as the financial provider for two or more husbands living under her roof and depending on her. If there are exceptions, it will have to be deeply cultural. |

This your grooving did not involve the ladies?
I actually hold guys and ladies to the same standards morally.
Maybe that's one of the reasons I am very very very pro-young love.
I didn't want a guy who has been there and done that.
I nor want ajeku. Of course, the life involved the ladies...but now that I think of it, I never actually dated any of those chics I knew as being 'out there having fun'. They were good and fun to be with only on that "grooving" scale, but when it came to dating I always dated the ones who would classify under your category of not being exciting enough.I honestly don't know what they saw in me. |
