I believe Nigeria will reach the height of countries like America and Europe e.t.c where everything works but i fear that i may not witness it with the way things are going. Corruption has brought this country to its knees and now it seems corruption has come to stay in almost all hearts. Years of suffering has made majority of Nigerians to be criminally minded. If we can change our mindsets and see everyone to be one, irrespective of tribe and religion, then there is hope but if we can't then Nigeria may never rise up. |
Thank you Pat Rice for the years of service to Arsenal FC. All the best in whatever you choose to do after your retirement. I hope the appointment of Steve Bould will bring about a change in our defense and ensure solid defensive organisation. We really need to stop conceeding higher every passing season. 1025: will this new man change the mindset of wenger from buying cheap and selling high to the days of trophies? under normal circumstances, after rice, na beans suppose come but since na bould come, let us see what happens henceforth.LOL! Arsene Wenger is the most stubborn man i have seen. There are times i felt like strangling him for the heartache he has caused we Arsenal fans with his unreasonable principles. |
jmaine: Yes, the way OBJ acted like a strong man in ordering the razing down of Odi and Zaki biam . .killing all and sundry in sight . . .He says he knows the real sponsors of Boko Haram then why hasn't he cracked down on them? As the CIC of the Armed Forces, He should use his powers to bring all these peeps down but since he is weak these set of people are still gallivanting around Nigeria. |
Thank God i didn't vote for him because i knew that things would degenerate to this level. He should grow b.a.l.l.s and start acting like a strong man. |
When i was registering on Nairaland, getting a username for my NL account wasn't hard to come by. I just remembered what was happening in my life when i got to know about Nairaland and that was how i arrived at 'CuteTj' as a username for myself. There are times i see some usernames on NL and i cant help but laugh. Take for example some usernames like 'seun, chuksaluta, tuhott and blackboi'. I can deduce that seun (is probably the name of the account holder), tuhott (she is probably hot, sexy e.t.c), chuksaluta (his name may be chuks and he his involved in aluta), blackboi (the account holder is male and he his very dark or black) and so many more usernames that tells you a little about the account holder. But how about usernames like Mukina, IYA NBALI, Zangiff, nyabai, nyabingi and many more usernames that sounds/look meaningless but actually have a meaning to the account holders. So what inspired the username you chose on Nairaland? |
Is there any way an applicant can retrieve his/her confirmation code given at the point of registration?? |
Jonathan d craze 4 yansh
LOL!! |
^^It will only work if ur laptops electric current input is 19v. |
It was N12,500 last year! N20,000 is too expensive compared to last year. |
abey2: .........and you don't think he should be praised for initiating this revealiing probes? Pessimism in your blood.before anythng shout GEJ! Get a life.GEJ never initiated this subsidy probe. Infact he wanted to bury all that has been revealed by announcing the total removal of subsidy thus letting these indicted companies and persons off the hook. To me, that was a weak and escapist approach. Im waiting for him to act like a man. |
These are the batteries used by INEC for the Voters Registration Exercise last year January. I too had one but it was stolen from me including my laptop on Good Friday. Hope my battery hasn't found its way into your hands? I need another one too and i must attest to the fact that these batteries do last up to 8 hours. |
Guk: Nigeria will only change before our eyes ifi will reply your Points 2, 4 & 5. Point 2- the constitution gives them (the legislators) the power and authority to summon/investigate/probe/question anybody. Be it the President or just an ordinary citizen. So in my own opinion, i see nothing wrong in how they are carrying out their duties regarding this Petroleum Subsidy Probe. Point 4- Its nice that you welcome the probes. That shows you that they are doing the job they were elected to do by those that elected them. Unfortunately, lawmaking is now the shortest and easiest route to making money in Nigeria. Therefore, the only people that can question these legislators about what they use all the monies received by them to do are those that elected them and those they represent. As an addition to what you have said, i say that legislators that miss sittings for no just cause should be fined. Point 5- it is only in Nigeria that the Executive seems not to be accountable to anybody, even the legislators so to an extent their oversight functions may be impeded by the executive though i agree with you that most of the time, they themselves fail to do their jobs when there is even no resistance from anybody. |
LadyT: Really disgusted at the whole thing.i second your points. As per voting, i feel that some legislators just shout 'Aye' or 'Nay' just for shouting sake. In the future to ensure proper and organised voting, i think voting should be done electronically. Every seat should have a computer with a keypad fitted to it just like the one used in who wants to be a millionaire. |
I was expecting fireworks in this game but lo and behold, my gunners decided not to use thier gun today and its not as if they don't have bullets o!! Hope i don't waste another 2 hrs of my time this evening. If i do, i will curse these players!! |
Very DULL game! Seems like i just wasted 2 hours getting no satisfaction! |
where did you put Zidane?
Zidane was the best in his time though you realize that he mainly started shining in his prime (old age) but check out the rate at which Messi whom is 24, is racking up trophies, shattering records and he seems to be receiving praise from everyone around the world then you can't help but conclude that he is the best player ever even if he his yet to win the world cup. |
But i thought they said ''SECRET'', then why is NL hearing about it? If NL can hear this, that means the whole world, the whole Nigeria including Boko Haram members know this too. Our Security agencies are indeed useless! |
Walk into Real Madrid's dressing room and you can correctly guess who the best player is- C. RONALDO. Observe the way he stands, the way he moves, the way he stares, he even has 6 packs, he has gelled hair and to top it up, He his handsome. This guy acts like a God amongst men. Enter the Barcelona dressing room and you wouldn't guess correctly who the best player is since Ronaldinho isn't there anymore but you'll come across this guy seated in a corner. He his smallish in stature, he his quiet, he has a double chin and he stares like a mouse. Let him leave the dressing room and come watch him on the football pitch, it is then you will realize who is truly the best player. He shouldn't be playing amongst men but deserves to play among angels in heaven. LIONEL MESSI, the best player ever!! |
Easybaby: I have new DELL laptops with the following configurationsfrom what you advertised above - PENTIUN 11. I believe you mean Pentium 2? So therefore, who do you think will buy a Pentium 2 laptop for N50,000 in this era when they can get a perfectly working 2nd hand DualCore for the same N50,000? Hold on, who is still using a P2 in 2012 sef? |
As MyJwell rightly said it can't fit. No component of a Desktop can fit into a Laptop. Or can a motorcycle use a car tyre? |
Barcelona played well as usual but Chelsea's disciplined strategy payed of at the end. |
Why hasn't Bosingwa had an haircut? Has Chelsea delayed/suspended his wages? I thought they were rich? |
I support Lionel Messi and not Barcelona nor Chelsea. So which club do i then support? |
Good day Mr.Andrew.I am sorry but i have to say something here.i am disappointed how you derailed this thread.I am sure you can notice that you shifted this thread from the original discussion to something mean less or baseless.
its ridiculous how 3 people totally derailed this thread. They took almost 2 - 3 pages engaging in meaningless arguement and display of ignorance. It got to a point i was uninterested in reading any longer because of them. This thread was created to enlighten Southerners about their fellow Northerners. You can argue about the North because its part of the enlighenment that the OP intended but If you want to argue about the south, feel free to do so on another thread but not on this particular one. |
The London Court that sentenced him said that they were lenient with him because he pleaded guilty and in the process didn't waste the court's time. He was thereby sentenced to 13 years though he will only serve 4 years & 9 months because his prison sentence is to run concurrently. |
nanos: You must mean Yorubas do not leave their immediate geopolitical zones, right? You could not have said that about Igbos, am sure.I always thought all Northerners (NE & NW including NC are hausas) until i found myself in Jos North and Jos South, Plateau State for my NYSC. I was shocked to discover that they weren't hausas but just spoke hausa to make communication easier amongst them and they were mainly christians except in Jos North and like 2 other Local Governments because of the Hausa/Fulani population there. I miss the fura, weather, girls and the suffering i endured there. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience. If not for NYSC, i wouldn't have had any cause to leave the West and made this discovery. |
shadrach77: chei! naija peeps don suffer! this was a guy who said he wouldn't run for second term. Now if he didn't plan to run for second term, why is he bothered by the suit? As long as we have dishonest people like GEJ in power, it would always be more of the same thing. Nigeria will never change. I weep for the countryi didnt bother voting for him in his 1st term and so therefore, i dont care if he contests for a second term or not! |
1025: jonathan told us that boko haram will end in june and boko haram said they will kill jonathan by june so it important jonathan and nigerians wait till june to know who is who and who will be qualified to contest in 2015.na true talk. How i wish that i sleep this nite and when i wake, its already 2015. I am in a haste to see how this whole 2015 drama will end. |
The real picture of south west is begining to be clear! first it was Tunde Bakare, calling for regime change, then comes the entire ACN govs.taking the fuel subsidy demonstratn to another level capable of undermining the FG.However,it is interesting to note that watever goes around comes around!the systematic evil alliance by south west politicians with core north politicians in an effort to run down a regime, whose only crime is that is been headed by a minority christain tribe!but i ve a bad news for south-west,if and however religious extremism is introduced in S-west,they will be worst for it,infact i predict the end of south west cos the both religions are divided on a 50/50 basis, which means brothers against each other. As for me & my people,we go sit don dey look & dey laugh!
i don't think the grudge is between ACN and the minority group that produced the President but its a war between the opposition( ACN, Tunde Bakare) and PDP. Unfortunately, because the President is PDP, any attack on the PDP also hits him. Stop taking every attack on the President as an attack on his tribe. The SW is too enlightned to engage in Religious extremism so it can't happen in the SW unlike the North. The On Muslim and Christian day celebrations, they both felicitate between themselves and eat with each other. As for you and your people waiting for religious extremism and then war in SW, im sorry but you will have to wait till eternity. You better change that your strategy because it won't work. |
Aregbesola seems to be hitting FG & PDP in the b.a.l.l.s and other vital areas so well, that is why they have cooked up this so called Intelligence and Security Report. I don't know how they came about this Osun State secession plan but can Osun State alone secede from SW not to talk of Nigeria? Aregbesola is far too intelligent to create an army (TA'AWUN) to terrorise his people both Muslim and Christian because if he does that, he knows that there won't be a place for him in SW anymore. Though i personally think that the activities of the so called TA'AWUN should be put under surveillance so as to forestall terrorism of any form in the future. That said, I believe this is just a ploy by FG and PDP to discredit this man and destabilize the SW ahead of 2015 because he has been a thorn in their flesh. This PDP is desperate o.. but notwithstanding, Nothing for them! |

I can't help but laugh at this development. The drama/ comedy i have been witnessing on NL lately is just hilarious. |
