But seriously, is it so hard to put the ball on the ground and string some passes to open up the opponents defence? What is with all these long balls?

Ehm, let me see...., He sent soldiers onto the streets of Lagos to stop a peaceful and lawful protest..., in a democracy. Yes, that he did.

Sports › Re: When Did You Stop Watching Super-Eagles Matches? by dabossman(m): 12:17pm On Jan 23, 2013
Watching the Super Eagles is nothing short of misery these days, but I will continue to watch all the same because it's my national team. Teams go through a slump and sometimes tend to underachieve. Even the Spaniards that are champions today were perennial underachievers for years. Who know what will become of them when this generation of players retires? Ivory Coast are about the best team in Africa today, but they may not be in a couple of years. Come to think of it, where are the back-to-back champions Egypt? Where is Cameroon?
Sports › Re: Nigeria's Draw Against Burkina-Faso, Who Do You Blame? by dabossman(m): 3:45pm On Jan 22, 2013
Who do I blame now? Let me see... huh

Yes, I blame all those who keep saying a country of 160 million people should be able to produce 23 players to win every tournament. By that logic India, China and even the USA should be the worlds best footballing teams.

Abeg, what is the population of Spain sef? tongue

Crime › Re: Nigerian Student Commits Suicide In India by dabossman(m): 11:27pm On Jan 05, 2013
Boko Haram guys are blowing themselves up every other Sunday. A politician jumped of the 3rd Mainland Bridge a few years ago. A naija chick commits suicide because she was jilted. Yet you say Nigerians don't suffer depression or commit suicide? Keep believing that old wives tale.

R.I.P bro.

Politics › Re: Lagos To Demolish 50 Houses In Jakande Estate by dabossman(m): 12:29pm On Jan 05, 2013
Do they still teach comprehension in our schools? Shouldn't we wait until government fails to pay compensation before drawing our swords? Or should we all wait till another building collapses and kills more people?

Personally, I wouldn't even risk living in a building that may collapse at any time. I would evacuate even if I have to cram my family into a one-room apartment. When there is life, there is hope.
Politics › Re: Major Projects Under Construction In Nigeria (pics) by dabossman(m): 2:31pm On Jan 04, 2013
I will commend everyone involved at both state and federal government, as well as public and private sector levels for these projects. Howver, they should also look into the basics. Power generation is most important has it will reduce the cost of doing business greatly. I know because I know how much we expend on diesel in my organization, not to talk of small and medium scale businesses. Also, where are the manufacturing industries? We need them badly. It's sad that our universities graduate students from various courses every year and they can't find industries to work in. They all have to struggle for the same jobs in the same sectors; banking, oil and gas, and telecoms. A biochemist, microbiologist, nutritionist, chemical engineer and so on shouldn't have to always end up in these sectors.

All the same this is commendable.
Politics › Re: How PDP Can Win Lagos In 2015 by dabossman(m): 3:51pm On Jan 02, 2013
If you seriously think the PDP taking over Lagos will make life better for Lagosians, then you must be a joker. Tinubu has shown everyone that Lagos is a cash cow, and the PDP will only come to milk it dry with no regard for the common man. They will promise a lot to aggreived Lagosians, but will renege when they taste the sweet milkiness of Lagos tax and tolls money.

Enoquin: Your last paragraph is my exact thought. The music industry in terms of quality pictures and creativity has taken leaps leaving nollywood behind
Yes. But shooting and editing a 3-5min music video is not the same as working on a 90-120min movie. Budget, production time, logistics etc vary by a great margin.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Wigan Athletic Vs Manchester United (0 - 4) On 1st January 2013 by dabossman(m): 10:12pm On Jan 01, 2013
1025: some bad habits can be dangerous. at 82 minutes, man u was leading with 3-0 yet smalling as the last man held aruna kone of which it was not torres. in the history of football, as long as the ref saw that and he was the last man, it has no relationship with yellow card. in a normal football game, a straight debatable card will be the case. a manure fan was asking of what need is that for because all of us reminded him of his pdp membership before the game. it is becoming embarrassing to a shameful point that every manure game must have something funny to talk about. it is a very big shame that nobody saw fergie fighting the refs and linesmen today. the devil is always the devil.
Blah, blah, blah...

Politics › Re: Jonathan: Our Greatest Challenge Is Our Attitutude Not Corruption. by dabossman(m): 2:03pm On Dec 30, 2012
No society can be free of corruption where there is no law and proper law enforcement. No man is born with a good attitude. It is learnt, most times unconsciously, through ones environment, be it the family or the society at large. Now, how easy is it to have a good attitude in the midst of social decay? How can you tell good from bad when there is no defining line?

Our attitude will only change when those who do wrong are punished appropriately and others learn fron that. Its how we learnt as kids.
Politics › Re: Jonathan: Our Greatest Challenge Is Our Attitutude Not Corruption. by dabossman(m): 1:28pm On Dec 30, 2012
Mr. President and some folks here on NL need to understand that corruption isn't all about money. Most Nigerians are morally corrupt, attitudinal corrupt, financially corrupt and corrupt in so many other ways. The public and private sector is corrupt. Nepotism, slothfulness, bribery etc all boils down to corruption.

Come to think of it, its like the President is saying six and half a dozen aren't the same.

Abeg Osaze should indeed grow up. David Beckham was dropped by Stuart Pearce for Team GB at the Olympics inspite of all he did to help the London bid and also as a former England captain. He took it like a man and wished the team luck.

Is it anyone's fault Lagerback preferred Yakubu to him at the World Cup 2010? Since then he has been so bitter. For how long will he continue to cry over spilt milk?

Also, Sashi Kapoor, the top striker of the Indian team that beat Nigeria 99-1 scored 199 goals in a year. He scored 100 goals in their 120-15 demolition of Zambia in 1972. Chitalu scored 14 goals in that game. grin grin grin

Dump- as in dustbin trash: folded- as in packed in a pillow style for him..

So he has been dump-folded.. Lol
Don't mind that "over sabi" that can't identify a simple play on words.
