Infact its scriptural ephisians 5:22-25

So the reason is to avoid a bruised ego? grin thanks for the honest answer,
Wondering what submission means to you though,

The answer to that question is quite simple. It is inherent in most men that whoever they are in relationship with should respect their views and authority. They don't look for submission from every other women
So to you submission = respecting their views and authority?
Respecting their views is cool, this applies to both husband and wife.

Authority got me confused though. What does authority entail.

Submission is a wise woman's act of drawing out the best in a wiseman
I don't think you got my question.
My question wasn't directed nor is it about the woman who is or chooses to be submissive for whatever reason she deems right.
It focuses solely and is asked/directed to people who want and/or expect submission from women,

I'm asking those people. Why are you looking for submission from women?

Any thoughts?

People who give birth to babies and don't take care of then should be arrested.

Crime › Re: Raped Rhodes University Student Commits Suicide, 3 Months After by Daeylar(f):
valdovas:
madam, at least you can know that many Nigeria men don't support women's rights or see them as equal. Instead of reading only pretentious comments like the ones on twitter and Facebook. If you go to these sites you would think many men are champions for women causes not knowing that a lot of work still needs to be done.

Hope its clear enough for you to understand?
I already got your point. The more anonymous the more some people will show their support towards some actions by liking it. The more women will know the mind of some people. But we already know, we don't need them to keep hounding it in.

However for bold, nope,

You're just assuming so.
A lot of bold misogynists, potential rapists, rape apologists on twitter too.

Can't speak for Facebook. Don't use there.

My point being. Is that I know the people who make these silly comments and can avoid them. And they can also be shamed.
Can't do that here.

Even here, someone who likes a comment supporting such trash, can later make another comment pretending to not support it. How do you know? You can't.

My point is that, as you said. People "pretend" or hide the their true nature on FB. IG or twitter. And they should, there is no where it should be acceptable for people to brazenly make such disgusting as hell comments about women and issues on rape.
However here it's almost like they are praised and rewarded with 100s of likes for such ill behavior. So they continue and continue. Imagine if a growing child who doesn't have a firm grasp on what is wrong or right reads this website. They may feel that it's right to say such disgusting things about women or support terrible acts against women because they see such comments with huge likes supporting them when it is not meant to be so.

The way they hide on fb and twitter is the way they should hide here. And not use here to speak all sorts of trash they have in their heart. The way they know they will be dragged for all nonsense they say on FB and Twitter is the same way they should feel they will be dragged here. There is absolutely no reason why this place should be turned to a Paradise for sick and misogynistic individuals all in the name of "keeping it real"

So once again I ask, knowing that people like such comments, but not knowing who likes them. What good does it do?

Anything that serves as deterrent against rape must not be discounted.......and that includes indecent dressing. Men are attracted by what they see. A word is enough for the wise. My condolences to the family of the victim.
franchasng:
In as much as I condemn the useless rapist and all rapists, ladies should learn to dress well when u observe your environment harbors a lot of useless men, they call it caution!

I observed my area, noticed how most guys kept hailing me and some staring enviously, I had to sell off my 2nd car and be using one average normal car before somebody comes knocking on my door at night for what doesn't belong to him.

We call it caution.

Always observe your environment and act accordingly to avoid ending up in a tight situation in life.

RIP poor lady, its sad cry
NotComplaining:
She caused her own problem and that constant self blame led to her suicide.

Its a lesson for all young girls. Dont allow the media to ruin your lives, every action has a repercussion, some are more subtle than others. Dress modestly, your adornments can be stolen from you just as someone who goes around flashing cash to the poor. It only takes one event to ruin what required generations to build, so be careful. When the dust settles you will still blame yourself for not taking any precautions and willfully placing yourself into harms way.
PurplePatch:
I guess this happened in SA. My points are:

1. Rape leaves victims With emotional and psychological trauma.

2. With a high HIV rate in that country, she might have run a test and tested positive.

3. She might have triggered this sad circle of events with her DRESSING. The pics up there suggests so. When you dangle a "banana" before a "monkey" and refuse to give it to eat, it devices a method to quench it's hunger(Curiosity).

4. Every rapist is psychologically imbalanced. How does it feel like eating your food forcefully?

5. Conclusively, Suicide should never be an option.

The rape comments are being deleted. But I wish seun would allow us see who likes such comments, let me know those to avoid on nairaland.

Before that comment was deleted it had 32 likes. I wonder who those people were.
valdovas:
Don't you think its better for people to like any type of perversions they engage in secretly so that you will know how many truly sick individuals walk among us like normal people?
On instagram and Facebook people live a lie and pretend to be decent because their true identities are exposed, let nairaland be the true reflection of society where sociopaths can show their true colors so that those that want to know the true nature of things can protect themselves.

You as a woman now after going through this thread you will realize that many men still support rape as long as the victi,m is scantily dressed and others like that lunatic in page one don't think rapists deserve punishment at all.

You should know the true nature of some Nigerian guys, no need to suppress them.
I seen comments attacking and insulting women here get up to 900 likes. Rapist comments. Misogynistic comments, comments supporting abuse. Such kind of comments.

Now I know that up to 900 posters here liked such a comment, (the one in particular I'm talking about) but I don't know who actually liked it.
I just know that a lot of people are crazy, I don't actually know who is crazy.
How is knowing but not actually knowing, really beneficial to women on this website?

The woman is the biggest fool for marrying a man that doesn't love her child. I'm not in support of abortion but they're all idiots indeed.
She herself doesn't love the child. That's why it doesn't touch her that someone she married doesn't care an inch about the child.

Like I said. All 3 foolish, but I think the op is the most foolish in This scenario, (foolish and wicked though) because he wasn't embroiled in the drama from the start, but saw how the situation was and still decided to marry her. Thinking he can give her idiotic rules and regulations.

I'm still wondering how a man thinks he marry a single mother and have such stupid rules as he she shouldn't bring the child near him, is that a joke or what? huh

And the mother is tolerating such disrespect to her child. Why have a child she doesn't care about? This is where abortion should have come in play. So a little baby isn't brought to this world by people who couldn't care less even if they tried.
Allowing an innocent baby who wouldn't be on this earth if not for her to be treated this badly,

I think that's why the grandmum wants to force her to take care of her child. Because she knows op's wife is callous enough to abandon the child with her just because of op and move on with her life.

All just to say she has a horseband. Shameful.

The father of the baby also. A man refused to take care of his out of wedlock baby just because he got married. Foolishness all round Smh

A real situation of 3 idiots. It's just a party of fools.

Leaving that one behind. grin
Thanks for saving my comment jor it's been deleted. grin grin nairaland mods who hid that comment. Wetin I do na? grin cry cry

No it isn't a waste of time. In fact it is one of the most useful and the best of all the points.

I am not even looking at it from the spiritual angle. I am looking at it form the psychological point of view and how it affects the physical and mental well being.

Do you realise that being a praying Christian brings about the kind of therapy that even a Professor of Psychology or therapist can't give? It gives hope. It gives happiness. It gives contentment. It gives peace of mind. Its unburdening and surreal.
I have just one question. Why do you pray? Don't you pray with the expectation that it will be answered if not. Why do you pray?

At the end of the day, instead of becoming a drug addict
So the only other option is becoming a drug addict? Be a prayer addict, it's better than being a drug addict? smiley

and ruining your life because you feel empty and unfulfilled and overburdened and hopeless
,
Why not teach them how to face problems and issues that may/will arise as a result of them being on this earth. Teaching them not to let such problems consume them, so they don't feel empty and the rest?, teaching them to always maintain a positive attitude and hope for the best while looking for the best way to deal with whatever issues may arise?

It would have been better if you were taught (or indoctrinated, which ever way you choose to look at it) as a child to key into the "therapy" of prayers. This may be the best life hack asides education you can give your child.
Some ignorance (as you know it) are actually blissful.
What is this "therapy" of prayers?

I don't think any ignorance is blissful. None at all. Knowledge is power after all. Why would anyone willingly want to live or want to teach their children to live in in a fools paradise?
