Happy birthday taryour long life as prosperity |
Ewuro4:Parents have a lot to do seriously. Firstly try and have the amount of children you can at least give the BASICS plus a little extra once in a while. I know it's not easy but like you said about 80% of charity begins at home. My mum was still buying my clothes till I got to 200l and a strange top or slippers would have warranted serious questioning. I had course mates who were sending money home to their parents, paying house rent , buying cars for their mothers shuo a pikin in school that is not working. And before people spring the poverty card there were loads of gals from extremely poor backgrounds who still did not think sleeping with guys to get money was acceptable. |
cococandy:Like I said Cunning man die cunning man bury am. ![]() She wants your money, you just want to chop and clean mouth = equation balanced |
bukatyne: Sister bukatyne was really a 'sister' in her Uni daysYou have a point though. Both parties should stop whining. Certain naija men & women deserve each other. Cunning man die cunning man bury am ![]() Taking a girl out or 'taking care' of her is not the indicator that you are a great catch and girls please stop 'begging' for recharge card, Brazilian hair ( you can always braid your hair ) its really demeaning. |
MMotimo:WORD.... I am not that old though ![]() |
Timbuktou:Pronto you got what the vex money is for ![]() Some Naija guys be falling hands since 1960Malt& pepper soup = at least one deep 'tonguey salivary'kiss plus if possible second base ![]() No way Jose ..keep your hands to yourself ![]() I was lucky sha..my encounters with that sort were very limited. Funny thread I dey go sleep ojare. |
coogar:Criteria was different things but it was not just about going out, sending credit and stalking you over the phone with 100 calls a day etc. Stillwater is right most naija gals think the above is the definition of 'caring'. Naa I won't..even moreso now that I am older. Some of my friends used to 'pity' me sha. They even hated one of my toasters back then cos it was just 'talk talk' they would say 'ahan how can someone be coming to a girls hostel and just come empty handed and just be gisting gisting He was already working in a bank at the time sef so the hatred was x2. I liked his company though and he still remains my friend till today. He just liked women too much and me I was not down for 'main chic side chic' wahala so he eventually became 'friend zoned ![]() Yeah yeah my daddy ![]() |
Timbuktou: But jokes apart I don't think you will actually want a 'third wheel' not to talk of ' fifth' wheel on a date out with a guy that you fancy. A date is not just about food but getting to know each other. |
coogar:Coogar make I no lie I don't know o :Dyou sef know naija guys don't ' insist' on going Dutch. I have volunteered to pay for the popcorn at a movie and the guy was very offended (like his manhood was dependent on his ability to pay for popcorn ).And who told you I consumed fried rice and chicken? I hated that 'hungry girl' generalisation so I almost always had only a drink esp on a first date. I know some guys who said I was 'forming ' na them know . the ability to buy me food was not a dating criteria.I was the 'suffering One' back then o.God did not just give me the head of 'spending' boyfriends and toasters(or maybe I was always just too proud to ask). Make I no lie my shakara was a lot.My dad used to take me and my sister Out to eat (name it from shitta amala to Terris burger to Eko Le meridien ) and so taking me to eat 'fried rice and chicken ' was not something that used to trip me. |
Ok I won't lie sha I never had to go Dutch (BUT I also never used to buy boxers and socks as gifts ) but I always always carried what i called 'vex money' with me on a date. And my vex money was always enough to pay for my meal plus my cab back to my fathers house and yes coogar even if the meal was at Ocean view ![]() Coogar and Timbuktuo girls tended to go on 'mass dates' with guys they considered magas and did not like. I always hated the idea sha. I remember one of my bros liked one girl who moved in a 6 girl clique you invite one out better go and look for money for 5 more people. ![]() |
EfemenaXY:It's true naa ![]() No I am not,the current ones I am using I just got on Saturday. |
ladygogo:It was o. she asked for my dad's name ,where he worked ,where my mother was from even trying to decode if she knew people who knew them(which she invariably did as most lagosians know each other). I could have put the mums issues to you wanting to know the background of who your child is dating. It's the bobo himself I had issues with. All i can say I don't se ju ara mi lo (I don't do pass myself) so if I had married him we would probably be having issues with trying to keep up with the joneses. Remembering that guy makes me laugh sometimes. If I had looked at all the trappings I would have probably been an 'Island big gal' by now Chei see me suffering in london ![]() BUT I would have been suffering and smiling and probably using all my own money to keep an 'image'. That said it works for some and sometimes that name and clout opens up doors and opportunities that might not have otherwise been opened. It was not just for me. |
coogar:A runs girl is a girl who can 'Run' faster than the average girl abeg coogar leave me |
coogar:Go check the Nigerian urban Dictionary why is it me you are asking na sebi its ladygogo that first called her a 'Runs gal' Ngbo ladygogo what and who is a runs gal? ![]() |
ladygogo: not necessarily na. She fit meet am for ikoyi club (until recently you did not have to be very rich to be a member of ikoyi club)I however get and know the 'die hard abi should we call it die there' mentality of some gals when they snag this old money ikoyi 'big boys'. It's just a bit puzzling that toke could be a runs gal with all her 'independent women preaching' That Lagos social scene sha and all shades of fakeness. 'I must belong by fire or force.'I had an ex who was old Lagos money if you can call it that and one of the reasons I fleed was I cant cope or match up with social climbing it's not just in me. His mama and family nko the woman asked me my family history the first time we met. ![]() Gosh.In a way I am kinda happy that I have left all that ish behind me. |
Cococandy see my plantain effort .. Some were a bit burnt but I was able to sha eat dodo(fried plantain),without the oil guilt.
|
EfemenaXY:All this fitness winches that want to intimidate person we are having health and well being week at work and there is an ongoing pedometer challenge efe you won't believe some people are clocking 30,000 ( and it meant to increase everyday till Friday)steps as at today I kuku exercise o so I don't know what the issue is with this darn hay fever.I also do the lemon lime water thing it's even in my water at all times(like 3 of my colleagues have started copying me sef) .remember me and edwife even add mint and cucumber to our own concontion ![]() I will sleep at 10 . Maybe I need more rest .My mum kept looking at me in awe when she was around . She can't believe i am the same lazy teenager she used to threaten to wash clothes and clean her room back then. ![]() |
EfemenaXY: efe you don't want to know on top all my nasal spray I used up over three packs of tissues. The itchy eyes were not that bad but the sneezing no get part 2 . It was even embarrassing sef you know open plan office naa my colleagues were all feeling so sorry for me. I have an important meeting tomorrow where I will be making a presentation I hope this thing will not embarrass me again o.I am tempted to go to my gp for stronger medication. One day am a bit ok next day am sneezing, itching grrrrr I can't believe I am actually wishing for winter |
coogar:Ask google ![]() |

naijababe:Haa ok I just dey see 'tanoids' and was cracking my brain Who or what the heck are tanoids? Sambarry @ your meaning of 'bae' .My sister said I am turning to old Skool cos all these new lingo that I see on social media just confuses me.Bae On fleek Thank you for the interpretation |
Phew.. I just cant I even thought the this was one outrageous outfit. |
My people I 'peeked' at Politics section the other day and I kept seeing 'tanoids' 'tanoids' please what is Tanoids. ![]() Abeg help a sister out oya naijababe come and explain all this strange vocabulary to your sister ![]() That's how I kept seeing 'bae' bae' everywhere and thought it was an actual abbreviation for 'best affection ever' my younger sister almost died of laughter when I told her what I thought it meant . she then told me what it meant and I still think its a foolish word. |
Nobody owes you anything..If You want it try and get it yourself. If they help you ,pleasant and nice surprise, if they don't push on. Don't go holding grudges on those you think should ,would have helped if they didn't that help was not meant to be. |
Ewuro4:I cant even deal na wa o |
cococandy:I loooove sea food. I actually think that going meat free is now possible. looks yummy |
