Hitv has been doing badly.They have not lived up to standard-the standard we are used to.Dstv has provided us with quality services that looks like like a tall order for a nascent company like Hitv.But Hitv is Nigerian.I know some will say they don't mind who provides a service as long as it satisfies them.For me,thats totally unpatriotic and unreasonable.Countries all over the world care about who provides services for them.The United States would never have allowed CNOOC to buy UNOCAL even if they came with all the money in the world.There is pride in your having your own national providing some services even in this globalisation age.

Nigerians are quick to complain about the state of the nation but are most unlikely to make any sacrifice.I need to let you know that there are few people who love Arsenal more than i do but i have not seen any our premiership games this season because of my location.Its painful,very painful but i believe thats the sacrifice i have to make for the good of my country.The question i ask when it comes to Hitv is this.Are they ready to make changes?Are they ready to face the challenge?As long as i have a positive assurance from them,i don't think i would mind making the necessary sacrifice for some time,i mean for some time.

However,i wont jump at the opportunity to criticize any company owned by Nigerians trying to compete with a foreign one at the slightest opportunity

Haruna is a bundle of talent but with a terrible attitude.imagine him chewing gum lazily wen we were still loosing to colombia.its an attitude that must be converted for positive use. he never seems fazed.he dictates the pace of the game. we missed him in the semis and the final.watch out for him if he gets a good tutor in his career.

Another player i like is Sherrif Isa.Versatile,energetic,techinically gifted and strong.Hope to see him grow into a big player.

The Fed govt has finally announced the restructuring of the national oil company,NNPC.

Do you think this is the right thing to do?

Would it solve the problem of the ailing company?

Have you noticed that couples who live together for a long time tend to look alike? My grandparents really looked alike when i grew up to know them.My parents seem to be looking more alike with time.

Forgive my little cynicism,I have reason to believe that this post is just a fabrication by somebody to keep nairalanders busy.check the poster's footnote before you abuse me.However,if its true or not,someone is going to learn something from the replies. Here is my own take on it. Be wise and make thourough investigations(oh sorry,the word investigation is too hard),maybe research before taking such a life changing decision.Do it with your head and not your heart.If you dont, i bet it you will be here in some 1 or 2 years time asking for advice on how to deal with your wicked 'husband'.

Why Do Most Pastors Have Rings On Their Right Hand?

I watched a lot of local TV this weekend and 'naturally' there were a lot of pastors on air. What intrigued me was that most of them had at least a ring on both hands.

One a wedding ring (considering the position), but what the other ring on the right hand means is what I don't understand. I saw it on Bishop Oyedepo, Olubiyo of TCC Ikeja, Pastor Bakare.

Ever noticed it? Is it a fad or sign of 'anointing'? Anyone out there with answer(s)?'

Cant but contribute to this post.My first day on an airplane was on a trip to Abuja. I prayed that day and left for the airport.I was determined not to be afraid but as soon as the plane was about to ascend i felt some kind of pressue on my head and i wondered what was happening. it was scary at first but i was so determined not to show fear.If i succeded is a question for the woman who sat beside me.i was enjoying the flight because i was by the window until we were near abuja airport and our plane(virgin nigeria) started to hover around the hills for some time.we were so close to the hills and the engines kept changing sound up in the air.I told myself i was sure i wont perish that day.The woman beside me was a muslim and i don't think i av seen anybody clutch that their rosary like chain before.It wasnt funny until we landed and the pilot told us the delay was due to a VIP plane trying to leave the airport.Wont forget the experience in a jiffy.Forgot to add this.I was given a branded napkin in a sealed pack.can u believe i thought it was jam or watever for my snacks.I decided not to 'eat' it on the flight.Didnt know what was inside until i got home.My brothe made fun of me though.Dont blame me,blame my background.
