Are you planning to travel soon or will wait till Fall 2021? Lekiboboe: Oh Alright
Was actually thinking if I don't let IRCC know that I have gotten a New LOA (deferment) it might have something to do with their decision in Stamping my Passport at the IRCC office in Lagos.
From your response I can conclude that, sending of Webform wahala is over

For those that recently submitted passports to VFS Lagos and haven’t received any notification from them ...did you include your biometric slip in the package you sent to them? Not BVL o...the slip you got when you did your biometric...
If you didn’t, it’s either you pay the N7,430 biometric transmission fee (and scan the evidence to them via email) or you scan and send the biometric slip to them via email..
Hope this helps...
Heard they won’t work on your passport and will try to contact you...(which they may not do promptly) |

Kinzeerichy: I received an e-mail from IRCC updating my status to approved. The details of my counterfoil was also stated. So what do I do about not receiving consent form and payment instruction as I’ve been notified that my passport has been sent to them from IRCC. Very good then. Next is to get the email from VFS or try to get them on phone tomorrow... |

You’re skipping the first step. Have you received any message from IRCC in your GC key account stating the details on your counterfoil?? Kinzeerichy: Thank you very much. But my concern is that I’ve not been sent the consent/collection form and payment instruction as stated in earlier posts that Vfs is going to send it. Do you think this is the final email I’m getting from Vfs? |

I am sure that the 12,750 or 11,310 isn’t just courier fees alone...perhaps, it includes payment to VFS for being the conduit between applicants and IRCC. In any case, it’s important to get the email from VFS detailing the amount to pay. I’ll advise people to check their spam boxes. Lekiboboe: Oga oooo,
Thanks so much for the detailed information & the eye openers, I do appreciate

If you submitted your passport in the last week of October, you should’ve received notification from VFS by now. Have you received an approval message in your GC key account? If you haven’t, then IRCC hasn’t stamped your passport yet. That’s the first indication... If you got a mail from IRCC, then try to get VFS on phone tomorrow. It’s not an easy task though,.. Pimp04: Good morning house, Abeg most of the people that are speaking about collection of submitted passport from VFS are the ones that got ppr and submitted around Nov 3rd, 4th& 5th..... How about those that submitted passport earlier ie around Oct 27,28th & 29th Whether it's Abuja or lagos kindly educate us abeg. |

Hello bro, The process has been haphazard and it seems VFS Abuja and Lagos are on the different service wavelengths. However, what has been established so far are: 1. The process of passport return takes minimum of 2 weeks from when you send to VFS till they send a notification that your package has been received back from IRCC 2. Once you get that notification, try to reach them on phone to prompt a follow up email from them which contains the consent form and payment details. It seems the new fare of N12,750 was effective November 1, 2020. So for those who sent their passports this month, they are likely to pay that amount. Please note that this mail could drop in your junk or spam box, so always check that. The new consent form has a space for inputting the address you want your documents sent to... Therefore, if you just sent your passport under two weeks, you’ll have to calm down and wait for the notification/message from VFS/IRCC. In fact, once you get the ‘do not reply’ message from IRCC which shows details of your counter foil, then it means the TRV has been stamped and passport about to be sent back to VFS. Hope this helps... P.S: Pardon any typos...had to rush this... Lekiboboe: Thank you very much.... Amen!!!!!!
Wow , Congratulations to your Sis

For Canada, you will get a visitor visa stamped on your passport and then given a letter that’ll be presented to the Border Officer at the airport in Canada who will issue the study permit. The two processes are mutually exclusive; not linked at all. It is until you arrive in Canada that you effectively have a student visa. You can take your passport with US visa stamp to the Canadian High commission and they will stamp their own visa as well without any issues. I hope this answers your question except you are talking about something else entirely. Dudun007: Hello guys, I need you thoughts on this if you have ever experience it.
Its a case of an applicants pursuing student visa for two universities at different countries ( U.S and Canada) simultaneously same courses and almost same course duration. But Canada is the applicants preferred choice/destination.
If the U.S student visa was approved on time and passport stamped already and then later the Canadian visa becomes sucessful and IRCC requested for the applicants passport to be stamped. Questions: 1)Will the passport be rejected at the Canadian VAC, 2) if the Canada stamps the passport, at the Canadian /u.s border will questions arise and will applicant be sent back home.
Please share any similar experience.
Thanks |

Travellers to Canada aren’t required to do a Covid19 test or to even show a negative test. However, it depends on the airline you decide to use. Some airlines specifically request for a negative Covid19 test Japh11: In the NCDC website I came across an information that a pre-boarding COVID-19 test is to be done in an accredited private laboratory for Nigeria international travel. You can try to reach them on phone to let them know you got a notification that your passport has been returned by IRCC to their office (VFS)...they will immediately send you the return mail. It comes with another consent form which I’ll attach. You’ll be asked to pay N11,310 to their Sterling Bank account. You will attach the debit advice and the newly filled consent form and send back to them via email . They dispatch mails on Mondays and Wednesdays; so try to do everything tomorrow so your passport can go with Monday’s batch. Hope this helps everyone that’s expecting his passport back... MOKENN: Please who has paid for passport return?
Is it okay to pay when there is no directive yet to do so at the moment?
Or is it better to wait a bit for further directive on that?

From the evidence from those that submitted their passports upper week, we can establish that the process will take like 3 weeks minimum. Those that got notifications from VFS yesterday that their passports have been dispatched from the High Commission are yet to receive same... My point is you can buy a ticket against first week in December...that is, if you don’t want to wait till you collect your stamped passport physically... God bless. Dameelee: Hello people, This is probably the most random question lol... please is it advisable to buy your ticket and things you need to take with you when you get PPR or you have to wait till you get your passport back? Is there any possibility that you can get rejected even after PPR? Abeg o, I'm just curious |

Not VFS per se. IRCC ought to have sent him a message via GC key account. He should get an email notification. Today is public holiday in Canada so VFS offices globally won’t attend to any Canada related enquiries. DeeWan: I just confirmed from him. He is yet hear from VFS. They have not contacted him neither. He has been trying to reach them but their contact line is presently not connecting. Have VFS contacted you? If yes, when? |

Good evening House, For anyone planning to travel soon once they get their stamped passports back, let me share the experience of someone that arrived in Canada a couple of days ago....
“ Hey y'all!
I just woke up from my first night in quarantine. So - I have been able to enter Canada. I am just gonna narrate the whole trip. For anyone who doesn't care about details: There is nothing to worry about if you have a study permit and proof of enrollment! For everyone else:
So I departed in Frankfurt and was already asked about my documents at check-in. Then again, when boarding. I have also had to get my temperature taken. I got on the flight with ease - which was low-key unexpected.
After 9 hours I was in Toronto. I was getting kinda nervous at that point. So I walked up the counter to the CBSA officer and I was literally just asked to show my study permit and proof of enrollment. I was asked nothing else - the officer passed my documents back and I was let in. It took less than a minute. I did not expect that.
I am also confused since I did not need to show the ArriveCAN app or anything. I am still not sure what to do with the app now - I can not fill in anything else. I might call the support soon since I am supposed to fill in a self-check every day. I can update on that if people care.
Before boarding my next flight, I had to get my temperature taken again.
When I got to Halifax I just needed to get my luggage and present another form (Nova Scotia Save Check-In) that I had filled out online in advance.
Now in quarantine I have to fill out several health self-assessments everyday.
Other than that I have just been laying in bed the whole time lol
I hope this helps everyone who is planning on travelling soon! Don't stress about it. My experience was good! The worst part was the travel itself (delays, weird airport procedures, etc...)” |

You have to use a courier. Depending on your location, cost is between 1,500-3000. Ayobami2001: Hello Guys
Please I need your help. So I got my PPR a few days back and I will like to seek clarification.
1. Can I take my passport in-person to VFS office in Lekki where I registered my biometrics instead of using courier? Plus am I going to be charged for delivery when I drop my passport?
2. If I will be charged, I will appreciate anyone can tell me how much I should take along with me.
I have attached a screenshot of my application timeline for anyone interested.
Thanks! |

Usually 7-10 business days. I think the first set of people submitted their passports last week Monday/Tuesday and they’re yet to get a feedback from VFS. We will use them to ‘track’ the process, at this time. Once again, be calming down...lol rebecausoro: For all the old timers here, please how long does it usually take for Lagos VAC to process and return passports on the average? Mine was delivered yesterday and since those who submitted since last two weeks are yet to give us feedback, I must assume that it takes well over 2 weeks. Would that be correct? I'm just curious because I want to start planning ahead of an estimated time.
