Business › Re: Sabon Gari Market In Kano, Before And After Lockdown by DanseMacabre(m):
Well...the pictures can be a bit misleading if one fails to put into consideration that the before was taken just a day before the lockdown was to commence, hence the massive throng due to panic buying.

Bata isn't as crowded on an average day.

Kofar Wambai for instance would have made for a good comparison.

To be very blunt, I don't see any reason, other than being a narcissistic troll, why anyone would open such a thread if not for gross lack of self esteem. undecided
Romance › Re: What Would You Do Differently If You Were To Address COVID-19 As A Government? by DanseMacabre(m): 8:24am On Apr 19, 2020
Very good suggestions OP. But I can assure you this can only work in really urban communities.

Imagine how Kano's rate of infection ia increasing exponentially even with the limited amount of tests being carried out.

Anyone who knows Kano well knows that achieving house-to-house testing, complete with your suggestions on social safety nets, would be a Herculean task.

Such a scenario would be extremely difficult to undertake in Kawo, for instance, out of many others.

I think sometimes the people in power do all these gaffes deliberately, so that Nigerians can find something to have online tirades over, and thus be distracted a little from the harsh realities on ground.

Otherwise this is totally inexplicable.
