Health › Re: COVID-19! Is The World Coming To An End (pic's) by DanseMacabre(m):
Nobody is talking about the world ending physically. That is still millions of years away at the least. What I'm more worried about is the seismic change in global activities once this pandemic is contained.

What every human should be worried about is the novel threat of biological warfare hanging over our heads like the Sword of Damocles.

Look around at trending pictures of animals taking over streets and areas where humans are on lockdown. Even nature seems exhausted with man's suicidal activities.

In essence, what you guys doing these comparisons are failing to realise is that the last major one occured at least a century ago, when advances in medicine were still fledgling. Now, when we arguably have the best medical technology in the history of mankind, see what a 'common flu' is doing to us.

My 'end of the world' theory is summarised below.

Welcome development.

To paraphrase an English idiom, a stitch in time saves nine.

To paraphrase a pidgin English idiom, Akwa Ibom no wan hear say shoot bird mama fly.

Of course it goes without saying that Udom should endeavour to provide palliative measures of sorts to cushion the effects this action will have on citizens of the state.
Health › Re: Coronavirus: Is It A White Man's Problem Or Should Africa Start Getting Worried? by DanseMacabre(m): 8:18pm On Mar 31, 2020
To humour you a bit, I could further your theory by saying that the virus was engineered for Africa to wothstand it. We're the final frontier of course. We stii have myriads of natural resources, virgin forests arable and fertile farmlands, of of course living space.

We are also famed for being dependable and docile slaves adept at hard labour too. grin grin
Health › Re: COVID-19: Positive Cases Hit 139 by DanseMacabre(m): 8:05pm On Mar 31, 2020
The plot thickens...

And of course, this is despite the fact that NCDC is still being economical with the actual number of tests conducted.

Several people have estimated that so far less than 500 tests have been conducted.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed till I see the tests totalling at least 5000, and the ensuing number of infected people. Of course I'm crossing these fingers in my hot room where I've stockpiled enough garri, groundnuts and pure water; with THC of course. grin grin grin

Mumu country.

Stephenomozzy:
What I'm trying to say is, this is indeed an interesting topic - which will be very well appreciated by open-minded folks (myself included), however, the richness of it has become belittled by the exchange of big words between participants trying to dispel another person's opinion.

There's often a thin line between conspiracy, foolery and postulation of perceived facts, more often than not, the line is willingness or unwillingess to accommodate another person's opinion without harsh verbal backlash!

Don't find my errors. Dem many.

I'll like that you expand on your very first post.. I be dey enjoy am
Lol. You're a good sport all the way through bro. I don't know why some people, instead of constructively opposing an opinion they disagree with, resort to casting aspersions on the poster's person or perceived ideological leanings. The mods seem to support this too, however tacitly they do it.

Bless.
