The truth of the matter is, kids are very very malleable and they give off what we give to them.

You said it yourself, you threaten them. Threaten to beat, flog, slap, knock. They pick up on this and in their minds you don't love them.

Take the time to talk to them, look at their homework when they come back from school. Give them their bath in the morning, make breakfast weekends, take them to watch movies and pizza or whatever they enjoy doing. You will see them start to open up to you. That is how mothers get close to their children.

You are hardly home and when you are you are threatening. What do u expect them to do?

I haven't gone through a pregnancy yet but I sort of find it wrong to excuse everything with hormones.
I have worked with pregnant women many times and I have never seen any of them having mood swings at work and taking them out on their colleagues, clients or bosses. I can excuse a woman who is going through a difficult pregnancy but a normal pregnancy is not an illness, is it?

Little do you know. Pregnancy is the WORST illness you will ever encounter. because there is no medication for it. FYI all women are not the same. Pregnancy affects women differently. The same woman will have different reactions to diff pregnancy. Just pray your own won't be bad and don't blame others for things they can't help.

Anyway, I had been wanting to just know why they act that way.

I pray my wife does not end up such o. I can't stand it. I hate stubborness or cruelty in any form.

Ol boi you better prepare your mind.

Hormones will do some nasty shit to the nicest people.

During pregnancy I was such a bitch and I just couldn't help it. It caused many problems cos my husband was like you say " You are using pregnancy as an excuse to insult me". I told him I didnt need an excuse that I will insult him if I choose embarassed

Well the pregnancy passed and things went back to normal and I couldn't believe how evil I had been. He apologised and I apologised but he knew what to expect the next time.

he can, why not. Transit onboard. The craft is carrying US and Canadian passengers and must stop in the US and only citizens and those with transit gets off.

That is not how Delta works. Atlanta is their hub, and they do not go direct to Canada from Lagos. You MUST , I emphasize the MUST, disembark clear immigration, and do a plane switch. You cannot clear immigration without a visa. This is my job, I know how it works. He's a liar

Raiders:
according to the op, she said her friend husband ask to submit her salary at the end of the month which probably means she is not helping with the bills. No man would ask his wife to submit her salary if she is contributing to the house bills

Please dont say that. I have a friend that pays rent, school fees, NEPA bills, water bills, buys dispenser water and insurance on the kids. Yet her husband was demanding the rest of her salary. You know what she did when she got tired of being locked out if the house she pays rent in, she moved out. Now he's homeless and sober.

I was talking with my partner on the need to get a dish washer and a washing machine and he jokingly said it was for lazy wives. I dont agree with that because it is a way that has been made to make our works easier. Its not easy on wives and mothers especially working ones. There tends to be too much chores that tires out and most men dont even see the need to help out. The least a man can do to ease the work for his wife is to buy some of theses electronic gadgets that makes life easy foe women. Whats ur candid opinion

Yes o, for extremely lazy wives like me. I no dey hide that one. I would rather spend my time with my family or money producing ventures, rather than spend hours washing clothes and plates grin

How am i suppose to use condom with my wife? Weird. My last child is close to 2yrs now.

I've heard this statement before and it confuses me. Why can't you use a condom with your wife? So what form of birth control are you using? Are you aware that she could carry belle immediately after your last child was born if she didn't find some form of birth control? Why are you even discussing this on NL? Go and talk to your wife and discuss birth control options, visit family planning clinics, prolonged use of postinor 2 is bad for her health.

I don't know about you, but I have been hustling since. All my friends are hustlers. My own is, if he dies, how can I take care of my children myself? I use that mindset when hustling and in planning family size.

Gorgeous58:
Strive to be the kind of woman who, when your man hits rock bottom, when his business fails or he is retrenched from his job, can carry the family through. You must be able to provide what he otherwise would. This thing of women who sit doing nothing, and when a man goes through a difficult period, cannot come through for him, or at least even help him make a plan, is not on.

Let us start hustling with our men. We must stop being liabilities when we have what it takes to be assets.

Ladies, what's your take on this?

A man is concerned that his wife has kept silent, knowing that he knows that she knows that he has been cheating on her and she is ordinarily a confrontational person. He wonders if he should be worried or it's nothing to to worry about as she has known for the past two weeks. Should he be worried?

I am not a Jonathan supporter. My argument is, can't we get a credible canditate? Must we recycle past leaders? So no one of over 170 million is credible to rule? Why should we have to use Buhari again? The guy has his own shady past. Them 2.3mil was a big deal. Yes thank God no one has more than 1 vote. And I was born b4 Buhari came into power, why should he rule me now over 30 years later?

This is why it will take centuries for nigeria to meet up with the 2nd worlds not to talk of the first. A country whose youths follow "them say" instead of inculcating a change mentality and take their destiny to their hands. I am sure you cant evidently say anything abt those two personalities. How old are you by the way? SMH

And people like you dont know that we have other options besides old men who should be carrying their grandchildren. What exactly did they leave behind that they are so eager to go back to? I have my own opinion and don't need to follow anyone elses. Atiku and Buhari have nothing new to offer just the same old bullshit. Buhari will probably try to make us an Islamic state. And FYI, my opinion is mine, my vote is mine.

You cannot teach by beating. You will only make the child afraid to learn. I teach my kids by making it fun and exciting to learn. I do not flog, my parents did not flog me, I am not a goat and my kids are not goats, they understand if you explain to them.

My parents were born in the village, nothing indomie about them. But they knew beating didnt help. I learnt to love school and so did my siblings. There are more effective ways to discipline children outside beating. Abi you be goat?
