Family / Re: Should Working Wives Share Household Expenses With Their Husbands? by Daresh(f): 6:57am On Oct 07, 2014
There is no such thing as free will. Please stop giving women a bad name. If you want to marry a man that will let you keep your money while he works like a mon-key to keep you in luxury then by all means go ahead. But that man will grow to resent you. You cross your legs while he hustles to pay rent, school fees, buy you car, fuel, gen, maid, clothes, jewelry. What will you be doing with your money then?

blueAlphaGirl:
Ps stop encouraging our future husbands to be lazy...remember this is Africa,Nigeria precisely...contribution from d wives side should be a free will and not by force...

I don't stand anywhere! !!!!

I want to work and contribute to my family projects/expenses. .

AND

I must make decisions with my husband, I must have a say.. we must talk things over, he can't just decide alone.... Nobody has the final say in a marriage, decisions should be reached by both couples. ..

QED

I agree! My having a say doesnt have anything to do with financial contribution. Even if I were a housewife, I must have a say. After all, I am not a child and raising kids is 1000 times more stressful than working.

MARKone:

Good stand your ground and say NO.

There is one my MIL said then, that she'll be applying copious amount of dusting powder, that prickly powder inside my daughter's somtin, I said dusting powder? She said yes, for what? She said it will help reduce the size the clitorial membrane, that it is tradition, I laff, she no do her daughter o grin, na my own she wan do. Some of them believe that an uncircumcised female, is always promiscuous. Well I told her she shouldn't try it, I felt that the dusting powder will be very harsh for her, and at a very tender age, and that was it, no dusting powder, she should be using the normal pears powder. So stand your ground my brother, they should leave her thing for her they way it is. It shall be well with her.

My MIL tried it with my daughter once. After the first time I told her NO, that my daughter is hurting. She started telling me about cutting the clitoris so she doesn't become promiscuous. I no gree of! Till forever I no gree.

Family / Re: Does Having A House Help Or Steward Make Housewives Lazy Especially In The Kitch by Daresh(f): 1:21pm On Oct 06, 2014
Well it depends on how you use your maid or stewards. I never wanted a maid but I realized I Would have to get one because I can't do everything myself. As a mom with 2 young children, if I'm cooking and I notice salt don finish, going out to get some becomes an issue. Will I leave them and go or carry them with me?

I also had the task of sweeping and mopping a 3 bedroom house everyday because my baby was still crawling. Then I had to entertain my son, and still earn money. Pray tell am I a witch? I didn't sleep till after midnight most nights. Because I always had so much to do I didn't have time to play with my family.

Date night was even a big deal, what to do with the kids and all that

Now my maid cleans the house (albeit terribly, I do a much better), she runs little errands, buy bread, egg, vegetables, boil yam.

I cook, go to market and face my business. I now have free time to do more important stuff, making money and bonding with my family. I pay her for her work so it's a win win situation. FYI I hired an adult, I don't do child abuse.

Family / Re: Please What Causes Some Men To Stay Too Long During S*ex by Daresh(f): 3:31pm On Oct 03, 2014
Woged2005: Hello good people, and experienced medics in the house I have few quick questions:

1. What causes some men to stay too long during s*ex (sometime upto one hour or more) before ej*aculation?

2. What practical steps/therapy can you suggest to such a man to help him release without staying too long?

Most women out there are dying in silence as a result of this problem but don't know how to complain to avoid hurting the ego of the man. This causes discomfort for a woman as both partners sweat profusely, get tired, often gets tears and bruises thereby taking the fun away. This issue comes up frequently during girl-talks.

Thanks for all your useful input.

I dont know what you are talking about @ the bolded/

Family / Re: Why Do Wives Manipulate Their Husbands? by Daresh(f): 3:26pm On Oct 03, 2014
SeaGold: I have come to observe this anomaly with a particular neighbour acting weird and insensitive, bidding to the whims and caprice of his darling wife.

His father came visiting sometime ago and he did one despicable act I don't like. He went with his family to the wife family house within the vicinity and locked his popsie outside. The old man went out too to see some relatives and when he came back around 8PM, there was no one in the house to open the door for him as his Son and family have gone to his inlaws place. The old man call, call and called the son yet the son kept telling him they are coming and at a point he refuse picking his fathers call. It was around 10PM I ushered the man into my house and he complained bitterly to me about the harsh treatment his son is meting out to him. Son finally came back from his inlaws place with his family around 11:20PM before he retrieve him from my house

One time I went to watch a match involving Barcelona with a girlfriend to my neighbours apartments and equally met some dudes in the sitting room watching. When we were all settled to watch the match...lo and behold, the channel was changed to cartoon network from the adjoining room and husband couldn't protest and we all dismissed! Football ended that minute.( wife overruled football).

Just yesterday, this neighbour threw out his brother in law(the person marrying his junior sister who recently lost his job and came to squat with his family while doing some menial jobs to survive) things out last night and according to the guy, this was instigated by the wife. All my neighbour's mother pleading has turn on deaf ears...as at now, my neighbour has refuse picking his mother calls nor the father over the issue and here, I am hosting a totally stranger in my house as a good neighbour.

The father has complained to me why will a son he gave quality education be treating him this bad even though he knows it is the wife engineering things and he wouldn't want to mention her to me.

The bitter truth is that it seems the wife picks the bills in the house as the husband lost his paid job few years ago. But one thing that puzzles me is that the woman appear to be a good person cos I have never seen her insult, quarrel or denigrate the husband before. She hardly talks.

I should have mind my business but I am always the last resorts cleaning up their marriage mess indirectly not affecting them anyway.

My question is, WHY WILL A MAN ACT WEIRD COS OF A WOMAN?

Typical Nigerian mentality, blame the wife.

Wetin dem no dey blame wife for?

Very soon they will start blaming wife for rain fall.

If you no marry wahala, if you mary wahala. angry

Gaggi: Lesser is a little derogatory. Women are not equal to men though. Until women stop reasoning with emotions, then we can start talking.

You see thats the point. Women HAVE to reason with emotion or there will be no humanity. It is only rational that no one will want to carry a load on their belly for up to 10 months, suffer pain, disfigurement and the most insane level of discomfort. If women did not reason emotionally your mother will nit have had you. If we all reasoned the same this world won't be the way it is.

Just think about it. God made us differnet for a reason

@OP dont leave your mother out of this o! She is a woman and by your reasoning she is also a lesser being grin

women are lesser beings(fact)....why waste your strength and time beating them? bro c'mon! they are made to be loved...to be bought clothes...jewelries...cars...taken to cool places...pampered...and at night made to sing in tongues to their creator

for the real men out there...let's control our tempers and treat every woman...not just our wives with respect. when it comes to women affairs,my dad is my role model. " never beat a woman son"

"You are smarter than any man" and I have to agree with him, all the guys I went to school with are just dumb. Family / Re: Feminism Redefined By Emma Watson by Daresh(f): 12:39pm On Sep 26, 2014
Tallesty1: I wanted to pass when I saw the heading of this post because I hate Feminism but on a second thought I decided to give reading it a shot. This Emma Watson is making sense in a way but using feminism instead of "Equal Rights Movement" Is Where she got it wrong.

This two bodies claim to fight for thesame thing but they are not thesame.

The Equal Rights Movements wanted things such as the right to vote and more equality in the work force, a law against domestic violence, maternity leave, equal pay and a law agains sexual harassment and sexual violence.

Feminism is a movement started by men hating, lazy, angry and demonic women.(sorry I'm loose with words sometimes). Feminism arose from the extreme fustrations of women who wanted additional and unnecessary freedoms like abortion, etc.

Ever wondered why Woman A's feminism is not always Woman B's feminism?? That is because they confuse equal right movement with feminism.

I hate feminism because it has failed to acknowledgment that there is any inequality that oppresses men, and they are hell bent on keeping this oppression.

I hate feminism because they tend to want equality only when it benefits them. Their money is their money but their husbands money is for the two of them yet they claim equality. To hit a woman is wrong but to hit a man is self defense.

I hate feminism because they actively seek to overthrow any vestige of male dominance in society, to the point of opposing the biblical roles of husbands and wives, defending abortionon demand, and promoting lesbianism.

I hate feminism because it is based in arrogance, and it is the opposite of the call to the born-again believer to be a servant.

I hate feminsim because they are breaking up the traditional role of the woman in a family and society. It also causes confusion among men and women as to where they stand in the family that's why you hear people say my husband is the head and I'm the neck. I could go on and on but lemme stop here.

To The Christian Feminist. Please think twice. Feminism is from the pit of hell. God outlines the roles of women and men as different but equally as important. He created us different physically, emotionally. Men and women can never be equal. You can say 2 + 2 = 5 if you want to, but the truth is intolerant... 2 + 2 will always equal 4. Don't allow end time teachers to tell you otherwise.

While equal right movement is fighting for all of us, Feminist is attacking men, marriage and promoting lesbianism and being single.

The tussle for power in marriage is completely unnecessary. And before you start thinking that Tallesty likes to oppress women, lemme clear you. NO he doesn't. Tallesty believes in equality as much as anyone, but WITHIN the teachings of the Word of God.

It is sin in the heart that causes inequality. It is sin that causes men to treat women in ways that are meant to demean or objectify them. And it is sin that seeks counterfeit solutions to counteract these inequalities. The only true cure for inequality is obedience to God’s Word. If men and women would walk in obedience to God’s Word then their won't be a need to for feminism or equal right movement.

I agree with everything you said except the bolded. I would rather you say men and women can not be the same rather than equal. I am more equal and better than any man out there.

LifeIsGuhd: In response to Ezegozie, I created this thread!
I am really asking because i think some Girls are being used to achieve Sexual needs.

Take for instance, a student that is probably not going to marry in the next 5yrs.
And he is in a so called relationship; he doesn't spend on her, no allowance, yet a bleepful (sexful) relationship and every other sexual activities.
But she washes his clothes, does every domestic chores around his home and also satisfies his private needs!

Let me ask you officially

what do you gain from such a parasitic relationship ?

For the Boys, If you are not ready to spend on her, why are you ready to demand for sex?

Reading this thread is really pissing me off? Are you a ho that gets paid for sex? What do you mean by what do we gain apart from allowances?

Did anyone force you to wash his clothes or sleep with him? Or do domestic chores?

Are you his maid? Why would you de rep yourself like that?

If you don't like the way a relationship is going please leave. A relationship is a mutual thing, sex is a mutual thing, no one is is doing anyone a favour. "NO ONE SHOULD LOOK AT SEX AS A SERVICE THAT EXPECTS PAYMENT".

Why would women be derepping themselves like this? That why men treat us the way they do sad

My then 12 year old cousin, lets call him Andy, from a very Christian home had a friend in school who was from an atheist home. Now in my aunt's home, there is bible reading every night, thanksgiving and discussions on the bible passages read. So Andy goes to school and his atheist friend says something about there being no god. The boy is not coming from a place of personal belief, just what he heard from his parents.

Now Andy being well versed in his faith and well taught by his parents goes on to explain God's love to his unbelieving friend. Andy's parents invite him to their home, there is love of God. It doesn't change the boys beliefs yet, but a seed has been sown.

Discrimination is what causes problems in our society. Discrimination based on skin color, religion, tribe, weight, sexual orientation, even height(another thread). But all these things are so secondary if you truly love God.

Do you love God? If you do, you do as his word commands and love your neighbour. Even if they don't love him or believe in him. Love them and your love might just be what brings them to Christ.

You don't know Nigerian police. My younger brother was picked up in one of their random raids in Enugu. The boy was chilling in front of his house with neighbours when the police showed up, packed everyone and took them to cell. No crime was committed in that vicinity. Police just needed weekend money.

If your people have money they come and bail you. No money you stay in cell. When they are tired of you they take you to the back and kill you. That's the Nigerian police force for you.
