prepare? Everyone is saying he should hav prepared himself bofore d interview. Bt it doent work that way. What happened in d interview does nt show lack of short-term preparation. I am beginning to wonder if he is qualified for his job(i am nt sayin he is not). Does it mean he has never visited d website? Does it mean he didnt take time to check things by himself when he heard about the fraud?
One thing we should know bout preparation is dat last minute stuffs r supposed to supplement d ones we have been making throughout our lives, careers etc.

In Pr when an error has occurred,the first thing is to admit the mistake,explain how it came about,explain what has been done to correct it,and explain further what steps are been taken to ensure it does not occur again in future.I think the org should focus on doing that on the job racket scandal,it will be nice if they used the comandant again,with or without a PR person this time while he answers questions on operational issues.That may redeem his Image.

But on this oga @ the top matter,sadly it exists,and in acknowledging it publicly by all,has come to stay.

u made the mistake of waiting for graduation before beginning ur job hunt.
What i think u shud do is list d companies where u would like to work(at least 20, maybe more). Go to their site, most of them allow you to drop ur cv in d career section. Dont submit ur cv without a cover letter. The cover letter makes ur cv professionally personal(lik someone pointed out) and differentiates u from several others who drop their cvs. Emphasize ur strengths, talk about ur past work experiences(u shud b able to glorify ur little experiences but dont lie). Let them know that u are a creative person who learns fast and is always open to new ideas and eager to learn (i am assuming u are so it wont be a lie) and so on.
So that is what i think u can do. I wish you luck.

I absolutely think a lot of the points in the post are very on point(i lov d pun,dont u?). But as touching point numer 2(which i agree with to a great extent) i believe no matter what, u should never totally forget your passion evn if it doesnt roll in cash, find time to enjoy it no matter what. That way you wouldnt be frustrated and unfulfilled in life. Just do it evn if it seems like a waste. Keep compiling your poetry, giv your paintings as gift, there is gratification from doing what you lov. But of course you have to find something that pays the bills. Its not that some passions cant bring money but the truth is that some may not. But they could bring honour, fame and fortune later in life (talk about leonardo da vinci etc). Your offsprings could benefit. But who knows? You too could make a fortune. But there is no guarantee. Enjoy your passion just because you enjoy it!

Why are we just not interested in holding people accountable for their actions? The law suit is not to bring his wife back, it is to hold the people complicit in her death accountable. If we can't demand accountability from the people you deal with on a day to day basis, how can we demand it from our leaders who we will probably never have any physical contact with? That is how we are leaving them to God as the people are being fed to the dogs on a daily basis. Honestly whenever I hear that phrase as a deterrent for demanding accountability it makes my stomach churn. We already have the legal system we need to get judgments against offenders, why should God come down specially to come and judge again? It's the same as praying for healing without availing oneself of the God given opportunity for medical care.

That being said, I don't believe that the man in question has a case against her parents unless they had a power of attorney for the lady that died. Without a power of attorney, they are not the ones that should be making her medical decisions. If they were making the medical decisions directly, then his case should be against the doctor/hospital for taking orders from the family without legal documentation to support that. The more likely scenario is that the woman decided herself not to get a blood transfusion based on her own religious convictions upon which she was raised. The onus has to fall on the woman herself for making such a decision concerning her own health. Whether she got spiritual guidance from her family members or not, she still called the shots at the end of the day. I actually will put some blame on him for not chasing her family out of the hospital with a damn cutlass when they were helping to put the life of his wife in jeopardy with their spiritual counsel. Or was the guy estranged from his wife and is just now flexing?

I certainly don't know all the specifics but these are my immediate thoughts.

@someone talking about the house in th figurine.......I also had problems with it but when I watched the making of the movie, I overlooked it. Kunle said that according to the script, it said the lagoon house: using another location wouldn't tell his story properly (according to him). He said the location manager and himself used weeks begging the residents of vgc, lekki etc to rent out their houses for the movie shoot but they all refused (I'm not surprised, those are nigerians for him), so the set designer just had to work something out (erect a structure within the budget range). When I heard that very last statement, I heaved a sigh. I loved him for not compromising but instead he improvised! That's one virtue absent in most nigerian film makers that leads to low quality flicks.

sadly, u cannot go to d 'box office' and or the organisers of d oscars n xplain that the reason dat ur locations looked so unreal cos people refused to let u use their houses. That house was one major reason reason the movie looked so unreal to me. Even if b4 watchin d movie i knew about the problem encountered in gettin a hous in vgc, i doubt if i would av forgiven afolayan and overlooked me. I'm sorry, probably cos i am a storyteller myself, i hate stories(movies and novels) that seeem unreal(guess it has to do wit mt perfectionist tendencies). Thats one reason i hardly ever watch seasonal movies.they drag so long that @ some point it becomes unreal

When i decide to watch a movie, it should b entertaining, educative n it has to make sense. How does one relate to the movie figurine, its quite unbelievable (eg day silly shed constructed at the beach wich they called house. The interior looks nothing like a real home. It just keeps reminding that you are watchin a movie and not experiencing reality). Someone praised the portrayal of nysc camp. Even if according to him/her it is d best so far in noll, that doesnt mean it was good enof. I can watch jenifa 4 times over bt i wil neva watch figurine again. Jenifa is believable and i can relate wit it. I knew exactly wat i was going into wen i settled to watch it. Comedy of a local girl. It was believable, realistic even if it may hav bn over the top lik mr. We once had a protest in my school and sort of became violent. It was said that the governor(no longer in offivce @ d moment) dispathed d animals and they started packin innocent people on the strrets and even went into hostels to pack girls that were not fully clothed. If not for my pastors they almost went into the student church to pack students. A friend of mine was unfortunately among them. Can u believe the forced them to admit being trouble makers, they even forced them to hold weapons like sticks cutlass etc and took pictures of them. My friend said that wen he refused to hold the huge stick given to him they hit him heavily on the shoulder. Dont even ask m the bail amount. Nigerian police is simply rotten.it is sad and pathetic
