Shout out to that girl or boy you wrote loveletters to and was eventually caught or traded successfully.

My own experience is this: I exchanged numerous number of letters with this girl in my jss2. I always tore the ones she gave me after reading them, never knew she was storing hers in her school bag. One day,a letter leaked. The love letter I wrote to her,and the whole class got to know about it,and then I was blamed and punished. The girl pretended innocent and saved her ass. I was shamefully tagged the 'lover boy' way back then after the incident. Share yours...

The say cleanliness is next to holiness, am disappointed in the government of the state, how will a father say because his child didn't do his will, he will allow the child to live in a dumb site. The opposition just scored a cheap political point from them.
I have said and will continue to say that 70% of Nigeria problem is followership. We allow the leaders to take us for granted. They will come during election period and distribute 1 paint of garri/ rice with 500 naira to us and we will start singing their praise that they are the best, they have even ridicule us by sharing beans cake (Akara) to us. I will not be surprised if by next election instead of voting against the person that said he wants to punish them by planning to eliminate them with disease from refuse dump, they start running and singing their praise because they have collected paint rubber of rice.
I feel ashame when I see people celebrating a governor or senator doing what is their responsibility for example making good of a road and people gathering round even wearing aso ebi to commission the road as if they are doing them a favour.
It is high time we take away party , when voting for people. We should start considering voting for personality and not party.
You are right.

Just what do you guys want from Trump? While Hillary gets pass after pass and prop after prop, y'all want to crucify this guy for ...what really? Who hasn't said worse things ? Self righteousness is really not attractive you know and I'll stick with someone who says things the way they are. A candidate who has the courage to say his opponent is a fighter even while Hillary couldn't see one good thing in him is a man of real character. She kept rambling on and on about his kids... So pathetic.
Say what you like but with Trump what you see is what you get, with Hillary... Not quite.
I know you are young and that you find Trump's kind of bluster exciting and a "breath of fresh air" but one of the reasons why democracy in this country has worked for centuries is that leaders are held to a higher standard than everyone else so when a seventy year old guy who is supposed to be matured and grown in both thoughts and actions starts acting like a teenager or college student in his 20's that is really scary.
Like Michelle Obama said the other day, the presidency does not change who you are, it simply reveals who you are and that to me is really unnerving;that a leader with the temperament of an 18 year old hanging out with his friends is going to be the most powerful man in the world. This is a guy who can be easily provoked to anger; a guy who can't seem to control his emotions and you want him in charge of probably the most pressure laden and toughest job in the world? Please count me out.

Trump's braggadocio might be fun and really exciting for reality tv and for campaigning but its very very dangerous in a role where you need diplomacy like the President.

Yes your comments are a big deal sir because that's how rumors start. Someone sees something and comments and someone else notices and before you know it what started out as a whisper becomes loud noise. Please keep your "suspicions" to yourself.

Not only in Nigeria but every where in the world, 10yrs ago this wouldn't have been a problem but now there's a limit to which you can like a fellow guy cos everybody is now a suspect. I just want to believe my mind is just dirty as I said before
Isn't that a little cynical on your part?

What's even worse is that you know the right thing and here you are doing the opposite: raising suspicion when there is none. Abi isn't that how gossip starts? Na was for una o.
Here you have this innocent boy enjoying himself with his childhood friend and that's now "suspect?" So you want him to be hanging around different women just to prove his masculinity?

Man, I feel bad for young boys nowadays? Its either they have to be playas to prove there masculinity or people would start "suspecting" them. We are truly in the end times.

Hahahahaha Shame to corrupt lying CNN we all watched the debate and know how Trump won. This nonsensical figure you are quoting is from corrupt CNN and its among a Democratic majority audience.
Well if you call lying, deflecting questions, soundbytes, threats and personal insults as winning then I guess to you Trump won.

Trump might have galvanized his base with that charade he put on last night but I doubt he was able to cross over to the mainstream that he so badly needed and the polls show that. Hillary has widened her lead over him.

For years, I used to think of how the sophisticated German people were able to allow the uncouth Nazi's take over there country, well now I know.

Another great book

PoliticsRe: Challenges Of Leadership In Nigeria: A Review By Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by davidif: 10:57am On Oct 04, 2016
If leadership is challenging then why don't you better yourself and read books. There are books that one can read when they are going through challenging situations like;

The Road Less Traveled https://www.amazon.com/Road-Less-Traveled-Timeless-Traditional/dp/0743243153

Wooden: A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections on and Off the Court
https://www.amazon.com/Wooden-Lifetime-Observations-Reflections-Court/dp/0809230410

The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph
https://www.amazon.com/The-Obstacle-Is-Way-Timeless/dp/1591846358?tag=bisafetynet-20

Its so sad that a lot of Nigerians don't like reading books to better themselves. A leader should be reading at least 6 books a year. If our leaders did such Naija would probably be in a better place today.

Instead of declaring emergency on our dying economy, or at least working extra hard to show us some evidence that they are working overtime to get us out of this recession, they chose to gather politicians and prominent business men to eulogise, pour accolades and praise worship Pres. Buhari, for achieving what exactly?

Everyone who was at that needless and ill-timed book launch should be ashamed of themselves, I mean are these guys retarded or something? Who is in their right senses reason like these f**kers?
You do know that every good leader must be able to multi-task right?

Thank you.

Apart from South Africa or maybe Kenya, I don't see why someone should go to Ghana - studying in Africa.

Japan, South Korea, Singapore are Asian countries with some of the best educational systems especially in STEM related disciplines.

Someone will leave the National University of Singapore and go to University of Bradford for say Mechanical Engineering? cheesy

Or London Metropolitan University and set aside the Chinese University of Hong Kong? shocked
Israel has got good schools too - Hebrew University, Technion Institute of Technology etc. Good schools, affordable, different cultures, minimal immigration brouhaha.

....... And after all this write up, someone will go to the American University of Houdegbe Benin Republic. grin

I think the main cause of this is ignorance. You don't know what you don't know. Most Nigerians don't know much of anything outside the west (specifically the US and the UK) so they just go with what they have heard from other people or they simply go to schools where there friends go to.

Congratulations to man. I followed the news closely.

Another reason I encourage our best and brightest to go to top universities. University of Tokyo is Asian 2nd best university according to the QS rankings, best according to the ARWU.

You must not necessarily go to say the UK to get the best education which is quite expensive, when same can be gotten from Asian schools at an affordable rate.
Better still, why go to University of Reading which is not in the top 100 when you can go to Kyoto University (top 100)? Ditto University of Westminster when you can try Nanyang Technological University (12th best QS rankings)?

If na language, learn am. It was profitable to learn how to read and write in the 20th century, learning a second language is the 21st century.

Waiting for Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Peace (always controversial). Literature can go to hell. grin
I have always wondered why Nigerians went to some of those second rate schools in Ghana or the UK when u can go to good schools in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Israel like the University of Tel- Aviv etc

I guess we are just dealing with cultural differences here, maybe integrity is not a big deal in Naija culture.

My wife absconded with our kids (2 boys). We’ve been married for 4years plus. I did everything a good husband would do to please his wife, but she never satisfied. Before we got married, I’ve a good job and she knew my worth, after marriage things isn’t as rosy and it used to be, I lost my job and I was able to get one after 2 months but the salary is 120k excluding other freelance jobs I do online.

We’re unable to save. We spent most of the money on food stuffs, I hate seeing her hungry. She called me one faithful night and reminds me of the premises I made before we got married about the car and supermarket I promised her (I can’t remembered making such promises), but I still encourage her to be patient with me, that things gonna be fine. She never supported me as she’s not working. I remember I gave her 450k to start a business; she was pregnant at the time so she rejected the money because of her condition. I added some money and I bought a car, I needed the car to hustle for contracts, I cant be jumping from okada to marwa, nobody gonna take you serious. A month later, I got a printing contract from one of the best companies in Lagos, the condition is to use your money for the contract so I sold the car to print the job, I bought a machine unfortunately the machine packedup, i lost the gain and money for the car but I was able to delivered the job more that expectation but I lost huge amount of money. She always complaining ever since, when I tried to encourage her that things will be fine she will ask me ‘when’.

She treats my kids as if she wasn’t the one that brought them to this world, she always using negative words for those kids, I later realized she doesn’t love me, if she love me, she’ll equally love my kids.

4 months ago, she went to visit my younger sister in osogbo, she saw the way my sister’s business was moving fine, she fall inlove with osogbo, she sent a message thus ‘dear, guess I am in love with Oshogbo is peaceful and cool’. When she came back to Lagos, she said she wanted us to move to osogbo, after much persuasion and consideration I succumbed. We moved to osogbo, I spent more than 300k. 2 weeks later, she started complaining that osogbo is boring. I was so mad. I had to risk my life travelling from osogbo to Lagos almost every week.
On the 16th of September (a day after I celebrated our last born birthday) she left for Lagos for her sister’s wedding, I gave her 12k for tfair and other expenses. I called her a week later to remind her that our first son gonna resume school the following Monday, that’s when she said she’s no longer interested in the marriage, that I should move on, I called her mother, she said I should come see her but my family stopped me, since we never had a fight and I was not the one that sent her packing that she should be the one to come.

I’m missing my kids, they’re my life, I don’t know what to do.

Bro. Pls read again, we never had a fight before she left for Lagos. The only serious issue we had was when I saw 'call me back I love you' on her phone, I challenged her and she accused me of suspecting her, that I don't trust her. The second one was when my mum ask my son to go home with her, my wife stopped my mum, saying my nephew will beat him. I told my mum she can go with my son. She also accused me of putting my family above her, that I only respect my family that her opinion doesn't count, which isn't true. I love but I won't allow her to disrespect my mother.

Go through the court process to get your kids, or at least have a shared custody arrangement

The courts will decide how to do that. Either they live with you while she pays you child support (good luck with that as she's jobless), and they go spend the holidays with their mother, or they live with their mother and you pay child support (for their living expenses, and always pay their school fees personally yourself and keep your receipts) while they spend the holidays with you.

And always call to speak to your children at least every other day.
And you think that the court process works? You actually think that the woman would give up her child because of the ruling of the court? If you think so then i have a plot of land in Lekki to sell you.
