Maturity to put your spouse and family's needs above Ur own and t understand that there are more important tins than 'winning' in conflicts.

HealthRe: Is it Possible for a AA genotype to give birth to SC.. Are They My Parents? by dBard: 6:52am On Jun 27, 2015
Leem4:
i was born in the mid 90s. At birth i am a very healthy child according to my mum and relatives. My mum said, she can count the number's of time she took to the hospital.

It all started, when i am six years old, i started having crises. Majorly rheumatic pains in my body.
When these become convesant, our doctor told my, parent to carry out genotype test on me. As per the result of the test, i am SC. Since i am young, i dont have the knowlegde nor understanding about these.

Some month ago, a program is being aired in regards to advice to youth, base on genotype.
Then i voiced out to my parent, that as an literate , WHY did they get married to each other when they knew they will give bith to SS. WHY did they give birth to me to make me suffer. WHY do i have to live my life like these always, (they dont allow me to get involve in many activities ). As the conversation ensued, my mum said, during her time, the awareness level is low, and people dont even mind it.

Six years ago, for rougly two years, i didnt go the hospital, talkless of having crises. Am very healthy, but since last year, the crises and many health issue erupt again.

We relocated, then we changed our hospital, the doc the said my parents and i should go for genotype test and blood group test.
THIS is where the problem lie's, my mum is AA and my dad is AC. Regarding to the bloog group test, all of us are A+. With my little, knowledge, about genetics, if AA and AC is cross breed, they will give rise to AA AC AA AA. And they are both A+ they will give birth to A+. When i showed my mum these mistake, he told my dad, then we went to another hospital to retake the test which is still the same.
Now my question is this possible,? Is there any scientific backing about these, or are the not my parent, but i have physical resemblance to my dad.
Please i need your answer's

If your dad's AS, then it might be a typical, common laboratory error.
In the electrophoresis test, due to the proximity of the A's and C lines, sometimes d uncommon C is read as an A.
My advice, find out from Ur mom if she used to have mild and occasional forms of ur crises and wen..(ac traits), you might also need to do a more expensive confirmatory test (e.g, d chromatography test..full name escapes me).
Might not necessarily be wat peeps are saying here..be rest assured of that.
All the best..

Don't be so sure about that o.
The problem is that the average Nigerian lady is not willing to demand their fair share of respect from their man.
I mean what is even there to demandhuh
Ask them what they intend to make out of their lives in the next five years and the majority will just start gawking like demented heifers.
Ask some guys how their mothers dealt with them during the turbulent phase of adolescence. Firm but loving. Consequences for actions or inactions were clearly spelt out. (for them good mothers o). There were boundaries and they were adhered to.
Today's woman is more interested in replicating mill and boons in real life than taking more pragmatic approaches toward their marriages. Whilst that in itself is not a bad idea but then again no sensible person goes about cutting down a tree by plucking the leaves.
Marriage today is a contract where the negotiation for value is a till-death-do-us-part activity - a staring contest if you like.
The moment the woman thinks she can get a better offer outside, the husband is gone. The moment the man notices that he can cut a better deal on the sides he goes for it. The latter is more prevalent because the man, in most cases, sports the bulk of their combined financial muscle.
Happy marriages are those where both parties have acknowledged that the value they provide for each other is worth way more than any side attraction can offer. Where the man goes out of his way to please his wife and the woman won't stop at anything to cater to her husband's needs.

I refuse to accept that the woman is suppressed. I think the movement of society's focus from moralist/socialist foundations to capitalistic tendencies is more to blame. The women of the last generation had to combat with the inculcation of monogamy in their men thanks to Christianity and when it seemed like they were succeeding the "sex sells" adverts started to receive attention. Their target - those with the most money to throw around -men. Then morals boundaries became a question of "how much do you want?" . Women became more open to trading their morals for money. Young men who couldn't meet up were forced to step up and those who did wouldn't settle for less and whenever there appeared a better deal they stepped up yet again and the woman again is left with the shorter end of the stick. This is the reality of most of today's marriages.

The unfortunate thing is that both good women and men are the victims of this vicious cycle and it is not going to end anytime soon.
Trust is dead today. Everyone is as loyal as their pockets' depth.
Are there still good people?
Yes.
How can you find them?
I don't know. Try Tum bum tum bum... grin grin

Onegai:
For all those explaining away this man's adultery and foolishness in cheating AND videotaping it (in these days where trashy blogs are looking for gist to fill up their columns)...

That is Nigerian Morality 101, titled "Personal Responsibility Is Not Something You Need In Your Life". Because they sway the bible to read that God forgives you without having to be remorseful (permanent Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card), it is not and will never be your fault for doing anything (so you never have to accept you messed up) and the wronged person has to do all the work to fix things, your job is to siddon-look and send bible passages their way to encourage them.

This mentality is why inspite of having 10 churches per any major street in any large city in the country, we cannot even transact honest business or trust the next person with our N1,000 note. This is why the entire country is crippled by problems that make no sense. This is why the average successful Nigerian business that is very big requires a foreigner to be in it, because the Nigerians there don't trust themselves.

If you cannot look in your wife's eyes, your children's eyes, your husband's eyes, if you cannot have the moral courage to look people whom you have hurt in their eyes and say "I did wrong, I have no-one to blame but me, I am sorry and I will do everything to fix this", then you cannot do that at work, in church or with your peers in society. In your personal life, you are giving yourself excuses for every shortcoming, is it in your professional life you will go on to be great and noble?

And that is why Nigeria is the country we see it to be right now.

focus7, please highlight the fact that you struggled and wept to God to lead you from the path of immorality, that God gave your wife the grace to stay with you whilst He worked on your life but the most important aspect was that YOU, YOU were willing to change from your ways first. Because I think a lot of people need to see that message clearly.

fulanimafia:
I don't understand how everyone can see the efforts PMB is putting in, in the fight against BH yet some people deliberately pretend the armed forces has completely ignored BH and is facing Calabar.

1. Relocation of the command centre

2. The composition of the MNJTF and establishment of their headquarters

3. The commitment of $100 million to fight the terrorists.

4. The release of $21 million already for the fight.

5. The donation of $5 million from the U.S alongside technical and weapons support.

6. The commitment of the G7 to eliminating the terrorists.

While there is clearly a brief transitional lull in the actual fight which makes the terrorists appear to be winning, it should be appreciated that the aforementioned are crucial and vital for a solid foundation for dealing the blood suckers a final fatal blow.

All militants, kidnappers, and demented elements that think they can threaten Nigerians should either make good their threats, repent, or embrace the Hell-fire from the air.
Commendable but ill timed.
That transitional Lull, has clearly dampened the pace of the ongoing military operations and given d insurgents the much needed respite to regroup and reorganize and to start planning coordinated attacks as we've started seeing the past week.
That plus d uncertainty surrounding the future of the service chiefs may make the war effort grind to a halt.

The issue with most ppl here is that Nigeria cannot afford to open 2 theatres of war at opposite points of the compass, besides kidnappings and armed robbery are the forte of the 'police'.

But what do I know sha.....

as nice as your point may seem to be don't forget that there are 4 different refineries involved with different maintenance requirements therefore if the TAM work was carried out most likely work would end at various times at the various refineries and not at the same time or within close proximity as we may experience.

In addition, it is also nice you recall that just last week it was just the PH refinery that NNPC said would become operational next month now they've come to say that all would be operational I think it is only logical to conclude that the refineries aren't really as bad as to be left idle but some peoples interest (definitely oil marketers) were been protected against the nation's interest by keeping them idle.

Now let me ask you if you really think GEJ won't av used the TAM project as campaign point if it was actually been executed at least he used the rail project for campaign even though it was not a completed project then and even till now.

In conclusion, my take is that the refineries were not as bad as to be left idle and now Buhari wants to bring them into use therefore Buhari should take the credit.
I honestly don't seem to agree with ur point on government's collusion with the oil marketers cos if u recall, one of ex prez Jonathan's first policy was d unpopular subsidy removal which wasn't favorable t d oil marketers, so logically it doesn't add up.
Granted, the commencement is ahead of schedule which maybe due to d 'Buhari' factor, but I still think majority of d credit goes t GEJ..plus, PMB, hasn't really made any policy statement/given any mandate on this issue, so....

Not sure I would 've used a sore topic as non operational refineries as a campaign topic, but point taken.

@o.p...this is actually a controversial issue.
Does d fact that the woman got 'wet' mean it wasn't a rape, or that she enjoyed ithuh

I think it has to do with the person navigating the zone btw fantasy n reality.
For some women, 'rape' is part of their sexual fantasies..her undergoing d act becomes quite confusing to her mind which then blurs d line btw d trauma of d reality and d fantasy.

Also, rape is a very traumatic experience and the mind deals with trauma in different ways, to lessen d effect on d individual, and one of those is 'switching off'. In such cases, the person zones out of the experience (blanks out), and the body is left to respond to the physicality of the action, which might result in some measure of arousal.

Lastly, females get aroused by 'exciting' (f lack of a beta word) , thrilling experience..a car race, extreme sports, or during vigorous exercises...things that can cause heightened senses, it's quite physiological. rape in itself can put her in this State of heightened awareness/excitement, which if not careful can lead to a form of arousal.

Then there are the Perverts...

I am sure you never watched, the video you just went on to comment. Did you notice that Adeola Fayehun of Sahara Reporters, was sarcastic a bit?
Did you also notice she truly believe she never did anything wrong?

Did you also noticed that Christine Amanpour of CNN asked Mugabe same question Adeola asked Mugabe in Nigeria? Yet no one called Christine Amanpour an irresponsible journalist?
Did you notice, how she stressed the hypocrisy of Nigerians?

Same Nigerians say her actions were non patriotic, yet same Nigerians laugh at same president muhabe and say he his a bad president.

I am not surprised, this is a major reason Africa is far from development and improvement. Nigeria is a country where truth and fairness will never happened. We are people that hate the truth, everything we do we are not sincere. What i observed over the years no matter how good and beautiful a thing is, take it to nigeria within a flash that thing becomes bad and ugly because of who we are. Look at religion both muslim and christianity, electricity. education, socio_economic life. We are far from civilisation, though we are independent we are still much in bondage. Adeola you too good to be talking about Nigeria.

Now I believe its true, when Nelson Mandela said 'it's a long walk to freedom'. As we Africans refuse to face the truth, that will ultimately set us free.

1. Again, the TAM on the refineries didn't start until October 2014 (3-4 months before the scheduled Feb elections), to be completed in 18 months (sometime April 2016).

2. For someone who allegedly is full of brains, I'd expect you to be able to read between the lines, and if you can't, at least I would expect you, to expect solutions and competence in-lieu of lame excuses and cluelessness -- especially when it's the 'blood' (if you will), of the nation we'r talking about.

3. I'm still astonished at how your skull full of brain matter can't read, or read but can't comprehend the original article from 'The Punch', and deduce new strategies are being implemented to hasten the TAM.

Help yourself further oh wise one (it might do you a world of good sir, to read it twice/thrice at the least, so you don't repeat your comprehension blunders):
