Oshigun: Don't mind the slowpoke. Hopefully he will will shut up for good after the elections and focus full-time on being the "Yoruba" IPOB spokesman on Radio Biafra or one of their hate website.
Let us hope , after Atiku and Obigotry lose, the faker will give us our peace on a Nigerian forum where anyone talking in favour of a proscribed anti-Nigerian hate-preaching group should be banned instantly as would be the case anywhere else in the world.. His mannerisms alone give him away as the IPOBian he truly is. |

sapoyoro: good you acknowledged when you speak you do so for yourself because nobody has appointed you a spokesman. therefore when you speak, you make it as seem you speak for all of us, I shall continue to call you out.
your state is SW can be content in being Tinubu slaves and letting him control your destiny like he owns it,kindly remove Osun from your list. we showed it in the governorship election before the giant "rigging" and we are waiting patiently again to give tinubu the middle finger during the presidential election. Out of point. You so much detest Tinubu's imaginary rigging in Osun but you have no qualms with Obasanjo's actual rigging of the same Osun in 2003 and 2007. Obasanjo slave! |

sapoyoro: sleep well in your delusion Tinubu son. you don't speak for all of us, that's d important message. No one is speaking for anyone. We are rather speaking reality. Your opinion is a minority one. Haven't you ever been told that in democracy minority might have its say but majority has it's way? |

sapoyoro: hahahaaaaaa awon omo Tinubu... I thank God not all yorubas support your Corrupt, destiny mortgagee of a god otherwise ,we did all be in trouble. good to see you admit Tinubu so called "big influence" among yorubas is just online propagated bullshit. so don't come to nairaland and claim you speak for all us, you speak for yourself and his supporters. you nor his any other supporter are spokesman for all of us. It is not online alone but on ground and real hence APC has all the SW states. Go and make your Obasanjo's PDP take over all the SW states from Tinubu's APC, then you can call me for a discussion. |
Politics › Re: Sanwo-Olu: Igbo Man Will Be Governor Of Lagos One Day by Deadlytruth(m): 4:36pm On Dec 20, 2018 |
sapoyoro: lmao..my opinion is of the minority, yet in my state of Osun, they struggled to win until they brought "rigging formulae" what you don't also know is that that election, apart from being a referendum on aregbe is also how an average osun man see Tinubu.
secondly, while APC do win and control SW, what is always the margin of the winning? you did have thought yorubas should be extending Tinubu goodwill to his candidate if he is so liked, atleast a popular Tinubu should be getting 80/85% of the votes and not struggling to get less than 55%.
in 2015, despite all the media propaganda orchestrated against PDP/Jonathan , to the extent one will even think Jonathan will struggle to get a single votes, because every where you go in SW, its the "sai baba" chant everywhere , pls remind me of the final scores in the vote, Jonathan and PDP comfortably got a high number of votes across all SW states. I wonder despite the so call Tinubu influence ,he couldn't even get his Candidate Buhari to win by a very comfortable majority in SW like he did in the north.
that's why I keep laughing at armchair APC nairaland supporters who think APC win by such a huge landslide when states like Osun state and ondo state are uncertain and swinging in the air. truth is even if APC manage to win those states, it's not going to be by any landslide, which should tell neutral observer about the so called tinubu's influence.
of course, it did be mental not to acknowledged Tinubu as one of Nigeria top politician of today, however the reality is that his influence among yorubas is absolutely overrated. There are those who like him like you, there are those who loathe him, and plenty who detest him but are indifferent.
therefore when people like you talk of Tinubu, talk about him in your capacity as his supporter and not for all us. you might feel you are indebted to Tinubu, that does not mean all yorubas are or should be. In the end Tinubu's party has the majority in Yorubaland be it by a very tiny margin. Buhari didn't defeat Jonathan with a wide margin but that didn't stop his swearing in as president. If it is easy why then can PDP too not lead Tinubu's party by a tiny margin in the SW? Until PDP retakes SW through a credible election be it through a tiny or wide margin, your postulations against Tinubu's leadership of the SW remains a wish. |

sapoyoro: lmao!! which course is Asiwaju charting for yorubas?
what you should have correctly say is that Your Asiwaji is charting a new course for his party, followers and supporters like you and not for all of us yorubas. I don't know why some of you have to speak for all of us when its absolutely obvious Tinubu is not even a well like figure across SW except among his followers like you. you and your family, and all his supporters maybe indebted to Tinubu, but me and family and a lot of yorubas are not, and obviously there is no reason for us to be indebted to him in anyway. nobody appoint you to speak for us, therefore whatever you say of your God is your own opinion alone which I respect, but don't make it seem you are speaking for all yorubas while not facing reality about how mr Tinubu is perceived across SW. No one is speaking for you. We are talking of the reality we all can see physically. Your opnion is of the minority in the SW if not how come the whole SW is now being ruled by Tinubu's party? |

Oshigun: You are one smart brother and a good student of contemporary Yoruba political history and struggle. Where were others, now very vocal against Tinubu, when Jagaban was last man standing against OBJ and PDP malevolence.
Now that Jagaban has conquered , through non-stop hardwork and patient bridge-building, they want to rise against him because he emasculated them all and exposed their cowardice with his bravery and dedication to the Nigerian and Yoruba cause right from the radio Kudirat days when he stood against Abacha and had to go into exile.
Who does not know that when Tinubu says A Yinka Odumakin will rush to say B merely because he wants to oppose a man he can never measure up to or be as great as in the annals of SW and Yoruba history.
1999 til today, what Tinubu has achieved is nothing but phenomenal. He went from being the lone voice of opposition in the SW to now annexing the entire region under APC rule. He brokered the merger with he CPC to produce the APC that won the Presidency when many analyst concluded this could never happen in Nigeria because of how the ruling Party has traditionally found it easy to rig itself into power.
Is this not why they hate him in the SE? I.e his unrivalled and super human success that means others too are aware they can do with their own Tinubu also?
Is this not what we tell myopic Yorubas who fail to see what Tinubu has rescued them from and can only talk of his private jet and what he owns? Is GEJ and his wife not billionaires, is OBJ not loaded, Orji Kalu and the Ubah brothers nko, Atiku ba is poor when he is busy laundering $40 million into the USA with one deal alone? Smart Yorubas should ask why it is Tinubu they hate and wish bad upon if not that many haters in life detest those who are winning time and time again.
GEJ was dismissed and is a nobody now. OBJ is a political zero who cannot win his ward. Kalu and the Ubah brothers are now boy boy who must come and prostrate for Tinubu today to get anywhere. Atiku, the serial political ashewo, has been disgraced many times. Saraki is heading toward political retirement next year. Yet Tinubu , their master who rarely puts a foot wrong, goes from strenght to strenght. Why won't they hate? It is human nature.
Anyone foolish enough to think the SE will not standstill today if Tinubu renounced his Yoruba origin today to decare he now wants to be Igbo? Who has achieved what Jagaban has in our post-1999 political history?
They will call him thief but is OBJ, who made his farm one of the largest in Africa with Nigeria's money, living on 500 Naira a day? Atiku cannot step in USA and is busy trying to sell his assets there for fear they will be seized as proceeds of crime. Deizani stole billions of dollars while they seize millions of dollars from Patience Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan everyday but it is Yoruba Tinubu they all face. As they say , 'you don't know what you have till it is gone'. Yoruba ronu. While I am not Yoruba, I have taken my time to deeply study Yorubas style of politicking as recorded in the annals of history and physically on ground, and my verdict is that they are the only Nigerians who play principled politics focusing on the drive towards democratic ideals and futuristic outlook while not loosing sight of the constraints of reality. It is this their due recognition for reality that portrays them as being tribalistic in the eyes of the rather naive SE and some SS natives. Also, Yorubas were the first to see through the intention of the North to permanently subdue the South in pursuit of their born-to-rule philosophy but all their efforts to pre-empt it was frustrated by the Igbo elite who due to shortsighted greed repeatedly pretended that the North's born-to-rule agenda was no threat to the South hence always chose to partner with the North against fellow southerners. But today you hear Igbos who gave lion share support to the entrenchment of the Northernization of Nigeria point accusing fingers at Yorubas just because Yorubas for the first time decided in 2015 to give them a dose of their own poison to taste. They would accuse Yorubas of treachery for the former's refusal to declare Oduduwa Republic alongside Biafra during the war, but they conveniently forget that they themselves were the first to sabotage Yorubas' and indeed every other tribe's attempt to dismantle Nigeria in a manner which would have been more bloodless and peaceful than even the disintegration of USSR. |

bigfish3k: so PDP robbed SW states and not the eastern states. why couldnt they rob lagos of votes They couldn't rob Lagos State because Tinubu and his new pan-Yoruba movement were smater than Obasanjo and the residual Afenifere who were still fronting Obasanjo as egbon wa (our brother). You would observe that till tomorrow Afenifere loathes and resents Tinubu for crashing AD in reprisal to Afenifere's selfish and unprincipled compromise with PDP/Obasanjo. There was no rigging at all in the SE in 2003. The results from there were a true reflection of the people's genuine choice. |

bigfish3k: ok agreed , if igbos voted first term
why didnt the yorubas reject him also in his second term or who are the yorubas trying to spite because the igbos and the yorubas voted for him in his second term
btw, have u now accepted the afenifere as the spoke people for the yorubas The 2003 election was a brazen daylight robbery in the SW by Obasanjo for fear of the obviously imminent repeat of the 1999 humiliation in which he lost even his ward. Moreover, Afenifere was already polarized at that time hence could not longer speak for all Yorubas. The likes of Tinubu and his loyalists had dumped the pan-Yoruba group and begun charting a new political trajectory for Yorubas. With all these in the background back then it is not really factual to claim that Yorubas supported Obasanjo for 2003. Those who supported Obasanjo again that year were Igbos who even voted against their own Ojukwu. |

bigfish3k: two of them are yorubas. which yoruba group told us that falae was ur candidate. or how do we know
we have our sons that also contested but in the spirit of fairness, we voted for one of ur man RECIPROCAL is what we need. if u cant do it then u are the aggressor. then the north can rule this shithole forever for all i care we are all in it together I am not Yoruba but that doesn't preclude me from setting the records straight as a Nigerian. Yorubas' Afenifere made themselves clear that Olu Falae was their candidate and that Obasanjo was the face of the Northern Oligarchy in that election, and in point of fact all Yoruba States rejected Obasanjo in that election. On the contrary Igbos preference for Obasanjo was mainly to spite Yorubas in furtherance of their traditional political marriages with the Hausafulanis from Independence. You can't take an action to spite someone and then turn around to interprete it as support for him. You have never genuinely supported Yorubas so your demand for reciprocation from Yorubas is misplaced as it is more rational to direct it to the North judging from the fact that their firm grip on power has always been through your assistance and collusion to the betrayal of your fellow Southerners including Yorubas. |

bigfish3k: its the yorubas that are owing igbos we supported OBJ for 8yrs to be president and up till now we are still waiting for ur reciprocal instead u lots are backstabbing us and telling us we can never rule
i pity u people because, without ur reciprocal no yoruba will rule again. imagine if osibanjo is APC flagbearer now. do u think all these northerners chanting APC wouldn,t defect to PDP to support their own? then u will have to need igbo support to win. and that is what is needed for a southern man to win thats why am surprised at fashola and co that are playing tribal politics against the igbos. its very dangerous for the south. we will just forever remain at the mercy of the north because of the yorubas attitude towards the igbos
yorubas are owing us. they need to reciprocate what we did for OBJ instead u are demanding humility Per the bolded, your support for Obasanjo was a support for Hausafulanis and the Northern militaristic establishment whose candidate he was in that election. The Yorubas' own candidate was Olu Falae whom you Igbos voted massively against. |

Other examples are Cross River and Ondo. So stop thinking that You can't find those rocky granite hills in Edo. He appears as one of those Edo South Senatorial District natives who have never visited Edo-North. I recall the day I met one Bini guy who was in Igarra for the first time. He was so scared by the precarious manner in which nature arranged the boulders of the rocky hills one on top of the other that he kept asking me for assurance that they would not fall on him and crush him. When I took him to Somorika his scare skyrocketed on our way as we ascended the very steep roads just beside the imposing hills with a bike. But after spending about five days in Igarra and environs he got adapted to it all. |

plaetton: I am telling you. When you think it cannot get worse in Nigeria. Imagine a governor, on a political rally openly whipping up tribal sentiments of the very worst kind.
When are we all going to be honest with ourselves and agree with Awolowo, Gowon and Ahmadu Bello, who said it much much earlier in our history, ..that there exists no basis for United Nigeria. If it was true then, it is even much muchTruer Today.
Otherwise, everyone will be going in circles for eternity. But when Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Belewa and Enahoro so declared in all honesty and frankness back then, it was your brother Azikiwe who, with the support of his Igbo kinsmen, demonized them as tribalists and labelled them as threats to a non-existent national unity while terming themselves nationalists and advocates of 'one-Nigeria' and then went ahead to instigate Ironsi into suspending and subverting the independence constitution which gave recognition to the stark reality which Balewa, Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello and others openly admitted. So whose fault that we are where we are today? You would also observe right here that it is still your brothers that are asking for Ajimobi's head for re-echoing the voices of those realists of old. The man has only chosen not to pretend that Nigeria is one but he is getting insults from those who themselves are currently asking out of Nigeria on account of the non-realistic national unity. So whose fault again? |
