Politics › Re: Jonathan - Alamieyeseigha Is Crucial To Nigeria's Economy by Dee60: 11:11am On Mar 15, 2013
thanks a lot for this post. One of the main reason I rarely contribute here is the complete lack of objectivity by most users. Because you like and/or are loyal to a person or party, everything done by that person or party is good. And vice versa. It makes nonsense of intelligent discussion since in a bid to justify or condemn, black is blatantly labelled white.
I am not a fan of this govt. Was saying this by the third month of Yaradua's demise. I totally lost it for them after the subsidy saga. The very fact that Allison is still there disgusts me. I didn't vote for this govt, neither will I ever give it mine vote. I hope and pray that especially in the power sector, there will be a change. But even if this govt changes Nigeria to be like USA by 2015, I still will not give her my vote. I will acknowledge and commend her, but I will not trust her with my vote. That is just me. I also respect opinions contrary to mine.
But what I continually find unbelievable is the way peeps justify wrong doings. Sentiments aside, black is black. Whether you are a GEJ fan or otherwise, could we try to put aside that when we are talking about wrong and right. Whether clemency or pardon, whether Alams is needed economically or not, could we at least agree that what was done insults every decent human sensibilities? If not any other crime, the fact that he is still wanted outside the shores of Nigeria should have put this govt on caution about this pardon.
Otherwise, I truly wonder for the younger and future generations. Because we are telling them that a goat can be called a spade and nothing will happen. Infact, you will have peeps ready to die for you in defense of that.
You are correct. The present leaders do not think about coming generations. There are people here always asking why FG or EFCC have not gone after Tinubu. That is silly. Who says they should no go after Tinubu? Was Tinubu not actually docked and released of all charges? If they have fresh evidence, why should they not go after him? FG has insulted all Nigerians by this clemency and Okupe is rubbing salt and pepper to the injury.
Politics › Re: Jonathan - Alamieyeseigha Is Crucial To Nigeria's Economy by Dee60: 10:42am On Mar 15, 2013
Very stupid and unintelligent speech by the president's aides these days. If there was any trust anywhere in the world that GEJ will fight corruption, the man has rubbished and killed that thought with this amnesty. The president will allow his aides to push him into the abyss, forgetting that these same aides work with any government in power. Even if a dog becomes president, they will still work for it, and call it 'the best ever'.

As for the statement by Okupe - No Comment!
Career › Re: Gtb Or Diamond Bank? by Dee60: 10:34am On Mar 15, 2013
Pray and trust God to lead you. it is not only about the bank but also about you. Where would you fit better? If you are the analytical and the cerebral type, GT may work out better for you. What do you want to do after banking? That also counts. I think image wise and brand wise, GT would give you a better edge. DB is also trying to re-brand strongly these days and we all wait to see what the bank will be like in 2 years.
Politics › Re: African People's Congress Unveils Logo by Dee60: 3:11pm On Mar 14, 2013
PDP Scam!!!

INEC please name the sponsors of the party and let us know why you will register them when you have just de-registered many parties. All of una politi-scammers!
Car Talk › Re: Getting A Driver's Licence In Nigeria by Dee60: 12:20pm On Mar 14, 2013
nich: I can imagine how you feel. Mine should expire in another 3 months. Hence, my search for information.

Well, I've been crazily busy at work, but scantily breezed through the VIO website. I aint really gleaned the information therein, but i guess there's love in sharing. The link to the website i came across is http://www.viodvla.com/sl/page.php?pg=Driver%20Licence&subpg=Driver%20License%20Process

I plan to read through properly later on, but everyone is welcome to share their experience and/or information he/she has.

Thanx in advance. One luv to the ogas on top! grin
Road safety Corp, not VIO is what you should be checking. They will tell you to complete the form online and they go to pay at the bank. When you get to the office (after payyment) you will have to fill another form, longer than the online form (so there is no automation at all). It takes time these ddays and be ready to visit several times before you make a headway. It is either 'server' is down or biometric machine is not capturing.
Car Talk › Re: Getting A Driver's Licence In Nigeria by Dee60: 12:15pm On Mar 14, 2013
Nightmare. Just like getting anything from any government office. The present administration has gone into administrative coma. You have to wait sometimes up to 12 months to renew your drivers licence, yet they claim they have automated and they have something called 'SERVICOM' which means nothing but a peace of paper.
Politics › Re: APC Rejects INEC's Call For Name Change by Dee60: 9:06am On Mar 14, 2013
Billyonaire: Any intelligent group should have known enough to send their legal team to commence registration of their party 24hrs after they coined the name and logo! But they forgot their duties because they are blinded by their emotional NOT ideological hatred of PDP. Now, lets say even if its a PDP member that even went to INEC to register African Progressive Congress, INEC has no right to stop anyone from Registering the name and Acronym especially when no one from Tinubu/Buhari's APC came out to register theirs. I dare say that this is a MEGA Party of fools and retards. I am disappointed in APC. They lack the temerity to confront PDP. I can only assume Ikimi was right when he said APC are political teenagers, they lack experience of politics. Do not drag INEC into your mud!
Sorry, your INEC is already deeply in the MUD. The same INEC that de-registered some notable parties a few weeks ago, is now talking about registering a faceless party that has no members. Teacher, dont teach me nonsense.
Politics › Re: APC Rejects INEC's Call For Name Change by Dee60: 9:04am On Mar 14, 2013
Someone has said that only a revolution can save Nigeria. When Jega came to INEC there was a feeling that they have now got a 'clean' Nigerian as electoral umpire. But the 'clean' man is now singing a different tune. INEC has become a monster in the hands of PDP!

You are not 'authorized' to even dream about owning an oil block! Sorry o.
Politics › Re: Owners Of Oil Wells In Nigeria Unveiled By Segun Adeniyi by Dee60: 8:58am On Mar 14, 2013
Lazy senators who cannot do their homework well. Enang, you need to get a rejoinder to Adeniyi. State your own facts.

At any rate, I still wonder why the commonwealth of all Nigerians is allocated to a few names and their children. Its a warped arrangement. There should be trusts that ensures that all Nigerians have a stake in their wealth.

Some of these several names are likely fronting for some notable Nigerians who have been in power for long.
Politics › Re: Presidential Pardon "Laughable And Tribalistic"- CPC by Dee60: 7:42pm On Mar 13, 2013
This is not 'laughable' at all, it is 'criable'. It has left too many people crying and regretting ever voting GEJ.
Politics › Re: Soldiers Brutalise VIO Men In Lagos by Dee60: 7:37pm On Mar 13, 2013
VIO should be scrapped. They have outlived their usefulness. How many vehicle inpsection agents do you want to have? Police, LASTMA, Task Force, Civil Defence, Agbero etc!

Politics › Re: Alamieyeseigha's Pardon: Jonathan Owes Nobody Apology - Okupe by Dee60: 5:16pm On Mar 13, 2013
OBJ may set up any international foundation that he likes but may be remembered for imposing on all Nigerians this nightmare of a regime. This statement by Okupe is so sad and so saddening! The political class has failed. If a goat or a dog becomes president of a country some politician would not even mind being its PA as long as there is money to chop!

Jonathan promised fresh air and he is giving it indeed. he should also free the poor prisoners, not only the rich ones. let every one in the land get FRESH AIR please.

In this same country where some are languishing in jail for years because their ogas (or their madams) accused them of stealing 1000 naira?
Politics › Re: Can You Recite The 36 States And Capital Of Nigeria? by Dee60: 12:01pm On Mar 12, 2013
I dont want to. We do not need 36 states. We need 6 regions and 36 local government areas. Till then, we are just wasting time.

Politics › Re: GEJ Fires Director-General Of NCAA, Demuren by Dee60: 8:37am On Mar 12, 2013
tunjiajayi: Stella oduah spoke to madam gej to pressure her wrapper to sack him. Simple!!

It is a known fact that the minister is hatefully tribalistic and she has embarked on systematic purge of her perceived enemies.

Watch out for stella airline which she would be holding in proxy for patience.
Kingdoms will come kingdoms will go. Where are those who oppressed us yesterday?
Politics › Re: GEJ Fires Director-General Of NCAA, Demuren by Dee60: 7:58am On Mar 12, 2013
This is perhaps long overdue. He came with bright ideas, but seem to have been overtaken by the corruption and the compromise of our system. There are possibly more exposes coming after his removal. Right now, the president needs to find and recruit someone equally good and who will not allow himself to be compromised. There are many Nigerians doing great jobs for aviation in other countries. Bring them home.

SHOW OFF. A kind of attempt by people to let their kinsmen know that they also have money. I better pass my neighbor mentality. In the city nobody notices your fine house because there are too many fine houses.
