Bossforeva: [b]*SMH* See the extent we have gone. I pray that CNN and Aljazeera wn't hear of this.Good talk. However, bad leadership is still a major part of the problem. If the head stinks, the whole body will likely follow suit. That is the problem. Our leaders still must carry a lot of blame for not leading by example. When our leaders are transparently honest, it will spread fast, and you will be able to deal with miscreants and criminals effectively. Please ask yourself - this accident happened right beside the airport. What were miscreants doing around the site? where was NEMA? Where was the Police? Let us ask our leaders to be accountable and to lead by example. Political leaders use thugs to steal votes (and then win!) and you think the thugs will feel any remorse doing what they did at the site? Think again.. |
Is our case that of bad advisers or bad leadership? Again, they have ordered investigation! What happened to all the past investigations? It took more than 10 hours before the seat of power spoke? Meaning, they spoke when people have stopped listening! Nine out of ten times, we hear from media chief, whereas on CNN and SKY we hear Obama and Cameron speak almost every day. Why do nigerian leaders always speak through aides? To worsen it, there have been times that when the oga finally spoke, he spoke something near opposite to what the aide said? What does that mean? |
Mr President, I see no why I should send you a question, because I have a feeling you will not be allowed to answer my question. If you want to prove me wrong, I will ask this one question. Why is it that people in government, be it national assembly members and ministers, become overnight billionaires once they get to government while it has become even more and more difficult for their private company counterparts to make a profit on one million naira. Could it be true that there is a massive lot to chop in aso and apo rocks? While are all the rocks so lucrative? |
They will end up creating more 'Sahara Reporters'! |
The office that guy is holding deserves our respect, even though you're not a fan(neither am I) of the holder.
Spot on. I am also not a fan. You really do not need to be an orator to be a good president, you just need to work hard. You definitely must not be using abusive words against Nigeria's elected President. That is really a bad habit. The person who did that should apologize. |
How much did we pay the brokers? Or was it free? |
How many years in jail per car? Only 2, meaning he gets only 60 years! |
Good. Please also assist in Fadeyi. |
YarisMan: ''Other than them, theSome of us did. There is no way to authenticate what SR said, but Abati's response has only helped to some extent to give credence to any speculation made by SR. |
Why is Abati not able to give an exact number of people on the encourage? He claimed that 'less than 30 landed with him'. Is nt that due to the fact that the plane cannot take more? he also said 'other than that, some ministers and aides...... Exactly how many is 'some'? SR gave an exact number, why is the presidential playing around with letters? |
The pilot should possibly have not taken the risk to travel all the way to Lagos, but I guess he could not divert due to the fact that several airports in the country may not have night landing facilities. Let us all thank God for averting another disaster and let us rejoice with those onboard who came out unscathed. Let FAAN probe this, please. |
geeez: Here we go againContract! That is the name of the game. Shameless country! |
Which subsidy? Stop fooling yourself. If petrol sells for N400 per litre now, in another 2 years politicians will tell you they need to 'remove subsidy'. That is the point. We are paying for inefficiencies here and there. |
It is about time Nigeria takes one of 2 options. Stay together as a Nation, and stop all these south-south, west-west, north-north NONSENSE. Alternatively, let the so called regions seek self-rule. So sad, the younger ones really do not think NIGERIA and that is because these regional champions (and a large number of them are corrupt crooks) have continued to raise the flags of regions to gain political advantage for themselves. What happens after 2015? Another battle will start for the next region to take their own loot! Meanwhile, the roads remain bad and the poor get poorer. Wake up people! Europe has built a tunnel under the sea. America has given the world iPAD amongst many other inventions. China is the world's factory. Our governors here are building and re-building government houses. Meanwhile 25 million Nigerians have no jobs. Yet, we sit down championing regional mediocrity! Today, our democracy is only about elections. You win one and you start plotting how to win the next, looting crazily to make that happen! It is about time to make our choice and to stick to it. |
You do not have to resign but please make things work. We have been told of e-Government but it has turned out to be higher charges and poorer services! New number plates and the racketeering surrounding it - Money into whose pockets? e-SON, only to be told to go to Lekki for SGS stamp and from there to Apapa for SON Stamp. When you get to Apapa you will be told the man with the stamp is 'not on seat' till next week - Trauma for businesses all over! All the new charges are going where please? e-this and e-that. So many new charges, so poor services! Please make things work! |
Dont believe this. |
Strange idea. Aso Rock and national Assembly should start first riding on Ogbomosho made cars. |
Strange. |
Sir Cee: You too are not God. Stop making mouth na God get power . Tell Nigerians that you are competent as minister of education, solve ASUU strike issue, with that Nigerians will listen to you and you will become a HERO.Hero for what? This is the problem with Nigeria. People do their jobs and they expect to be praised. A governor does a single road in one whole year and gullible citizens troop out dancing and praising. It is the job of FG to resolve with ASUU and you dont become a hero for doing that! |
This is stale. China can do 4-5 floors per day, meaning 50 floors in 2 weeks. |
Judas2013: waiting till he tells the truth: God doesn't exist! The truth is that God is the True God and has sent Jesus Christ to save mankind. Believe the truth today and be assured of the hope of eternal life. |
Boy, do not throw away your American dream. You may be an 'Obama' in the future! |
Very good. When their students graduate, I hope India and Phillipines will give them jobs. |
Madam, you should have exposed him when you were in EFCC! That is the essence. Why talk now when the talk will amount to nothing? If you acted then, he wont be accusing you now! |
And to be commissioned by who? |
Abati & Co dont see any need to disown the statement! I really wonder! |
Nonsense. |
Action woman. |
They are probably doing that to bring peace to PDP! Who is behind the trouble in PDP by the way? |
olaric: Instead of criticising Covenant University and its code of conduct all the time, will it not be easier to advice students to move to other schools if they don't like the school? After all there are over 60 universities in Nigeria!About time. |
joe4christ: It's glaringly clear that ASSU are politicking with the destinies of the youth by dinning with the opposition parting to completely destroy the reputation of the ruling party... I really dont have problem with that, but why should it be at the expense of our future?Do you have the passport of another country? You have to fight the ills. This is the only place on earth that you can call home! |
Maku and other honourable ministers should publicly declare their assets. May be that will help provide clues to solving ASUU's problems. |
