Tyranny in the making!

Even now Sanusi says he fears for his life!

Is there a watch list or hit list somewhere?

If you have not watched the film last King of Scotland, please do!

Even those bootlickers may soon flee!

All I see here is dirty politics by APC
Wow! What manner of thinking?
Politics › Re: Jonathan's Message to Nigerians on New Year & New Century Of Amalgamation by Dee60: 8:19pm On Dec 31, 2013
Nigerian politicians may be divided along 'APC' and 'PDP' lines, but Nigeria remains ONE. The true Nigerians are for the unity of the country. We pray that the NEXTGEN breed of politicians will arise and take over from our current crop of failed politicians, whose number one achievement is perhaps letter writing, back and forth!

Let the NEXTGEN arise in 2014. They do not seek power for selfish reasons. They do not want to rule at any cost. They want to lead. They want to change our culture. They want to seek for the glory of our nation to be restored. They seek God in truth and they love their fellowmen in deed.

Arise, NEXTGEN leaders.

Nigeria will rise again.

Happy new year in advance.

Why are you all agitated? Wait until the man speaks!

I have said on this channel before, I do not think GEJ will contest in 2015.
Politics › Re: Patience Jonathan Threatens PDP Governors Over Tukur by Dee60: 2:13pm On Dec 19, 2013
Unbelievable!

How much more impunity can we live with in this country?

A wife of a president summoning executive governors!

PDP is truly finished.
Politics › Re: Okonjo-Iweala To Present 2014 Budget To National Assembly by Dee60: 4:54pm On Dec 18, 2013
Ngwakwe: Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has been functioning as de facto Prime Minister and nothing surprising about that.
There is no such position in Nigeria. She is a minister and that is what the law recognizes. When she was presented to the NA she was nominated and presented as minister to be.

Let us just pray for the President at these turbulent times. There are two kinds of people around him presenting themselves as friends, aides and ministers. Some are caretakers while the others are undertakers. May the eyes of the President be opened and may he have the courage to send home the undertakers before they finish him!

Politics › Re: I Did Not Write Any Letter To My Father-iyabo Obasanjo by Dee60: 2:54pm On Dec 18, 2013
1. Most of the things OBJ wrote bordered on national issues!

2. Many Nigerians think the facts stated were facts and were obvious even if they do not like the writer, OBJ

3. The 'oga' and his teams may not really have answers to the issues raised!

4. Perhaps, their only answer is to find a way to attack OBJ!

5. If indeed this letter by Iyabo was forged, then Nigeria really needs prayers.

6. In my own opinion, presidency in Nigeria has never been so lack-lustre, cold and pathetic.

7. Even EFCC is broke! Where is all the oil money then? Could Sanusi's facts about missing $49 billion be true!

Whether OBJ's family is good or bad? Whether Iyabo's letter or denial is true or false, is immaterial. We do not need any diversionary tactics (which look quite childish and silly). We need to think about Nigeria.

We need GEJ to work at saving Nigeria before it is too late, starting with sacking most of his deceitful aides! They are just deceiving him! Those media and social media aides particularly!
Politics › Re: Iyabo Obasanjo's Letter To Her Father by Dee60: 9:02am On Dec 18, 2013

What is the so called Social media turning into in Nigeria?

Nonesense fiction! Not worth publishing.

Who took those photos? It is a kind of security breach. The fellow could as well as pulled a trigger and get away with it. This is not good accountability on the part of SA. It means there were too many security breaches on that day.
Politics › Re: Supreme-Court Quashes Corruption Conviction Of Bode George by Dee60: 3:16pm On Dec 13, 2013
Pukkah: It is curious that the 'quashing' Court says contract-splitting is 'unknown to law'.

See excerpts from the Public Procurement Act 2007:

Fundamental Principles Section 16(4).
37. The appropriate methods, procedures and contract award for public procurement of goods and works shall be subject to the prior review thresholds as may be set from time to time by the BPP.

38. Value for money obtained through efficiency, fair access to bids and transparency, shall remain the main objective of the Procuring Entity.

39. Contracts shall not be split into smaller units in order to avoid competitive bidding or be distributed among various lots to different bidders to enlarge bidder participation at the cost of lesser economy and efficiency.

I thought it was an exaggeration when it was said that it is somebody's destiny to bankrupt Nigeria.
A country on a free fall. Only God can save it now! O Lord, we pray.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Replies Obasanjo, Says letter Is Self-Serving, Provocative by Dee60: 7:25pm On Dec 12, 2013
tommychizzle: Obasanjo has no moral right to criticise Jonathan even though things are bad with this government. He should keep quiet and allow people with integrity to talk.
The problem is that no one is talking. Wise men keep quiet when it looks like they are talking to thin air. Has Abdusalam Abubakar not spoken a while ago that the 'ship of state is going seriously adrift'? When he spoke, did anyone cheer? Did you read that OBJ claims his private appeals in the last 2 years were not even acknowledged? Have you seen any serious person around the corridors of power lately, apart from those funny aides?

Is Sanusi a liar? Do you think an economist of his repute will open his mouth to scream that almost 50 billion dollars is missing? We hear nothing from the centre these days apart from the abuses of those 2 aides (you know them)!

I am praying that the eyes of our President will open before his modern day aides and friends destroy his career. When a man goes off tangent, he starts to see his enemies as friends and his friends as enemies.

I am not a huge fan of OBJ, but reading the piece he wrote, I doubt if he should have kept quiet in the face of this growing tyranny and lootocracy.

I will not be surprised if another word appears in the English dictionary likening Nigeria to corruption. May God save us.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Airbrushed Out Of Mandela’s Life Story by Dee60: 12:21pm On Dec 12, 2013
What is the name of our Foreign Affairs minister? Does anyone remember?

That is one of the reasons no one respects us. We had such a sound professional in that ministry but he was removed, yet the alleged corrut ministers remain!

At this moment, Nigeria is not taken serious because we do not show any seriousness in our national affairs.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Replies Obasanjo, Says letter Is Self-Serving, Provocative by Dee60: 12:10pm On Dec 12, 2013
Tyranny grows in the face of silence!

I have wondered why our past leaders have failed to condemn the apparent coma and motionlessness that the country has been plunged into. Now OBJ spoke,, and he is being condemned. The President should bother himself to find out how a private letter leaked to the press. Some of these so called 'trusted aides' may in fact be the moles!

President, deliver and shame your detractors. At this moment, if you care to know the truth, most Nigerians are tired of the putrid, odious smell coming out of the rock and Okups and Abats have only helped to compound your problem and to damage your reputation beyond redemption.
Politics › Re: NNPC Diverted $49.8B Meant For The Nigerian Treasury Between 2012-13 - Sanusi by Dee60: 9:55am On Dec 11, 2013
Fact is = we have a FG that is not interested in fighting corruption, for reasons best known to them! I quote Tambuwal.

Fact is = we will hear more stories of monumental corruption as the days go by!

Fact is = NNPC is the main arbiter and promoter of anything wrong in Nigeria! As long as NNPC problem is not solved, we will continue to run in circles.

Fact is = Any serious FG will do one thing. SAVE all money from crude oil for the future and use only for education, health and infrastructure.

Fact is = we are running around in circles!

Fact is = Money cannot just miss! It cannot evaporate. Something is fishy somewhere..

Fact is = Sanusi is CBN Governor. If he says money is 'missing' then he knows what he is saying.

Fact is = The President needs to respond,, otherwise the people will assume that the missing money has been 'pocketed' by some people.
Education › Re: ASUU- FG Withdraws Ultimatum For Striking Lecturers by Dee60: 8:57am On Dec 11, 2013
McLuhan: Brother, use your brain. There is no such thing as "substantial compliance". Okupe is simply lying. No federal university has resumed lectures. Read all the major newspapers and news websites. If the threat had any prospects of succeeding, do you think the FG would have withdrawn it? It's a face-saving measure by a tactless and irresponsible government whose bluff has been called. Those figures you are quoting - 70%, 80% - are fictional. The questions we should ask ourselves are: Why is the FG refusing to sign an MOU on the resolutions it purportedly reached with ASUU during the famous 13-hour meeting? Does the FG's reluctance to formalise the agreement portray the government as responsible and sincere? Given its current antics and its antecedents with regard to implementing the 2009 Agreement, can this government be trusted to implement an unwritten agreement?
Nigeria now possibly has a 'Ministry of Lies' or call it 'Special Assistant on Lies'

At any rate ASUU should take this as a victory and call the lecturers back to work. The battle cannot all be won in one day. Except Nigerians vote out incompetent and falsehood peddling leaders, ASUU may strike again in the near future. N200billion is nothing if that is to be spent on improving all our universities and rightfully compensating lecturers. All those students shouting down ASUU should also realize this! N200bilion over next 5 years is also still scratching the surface. Likely, the FG will sell the universities to politicians. Guess what will happen then! Who will be the loosers? Not likely the lecturers, I bet you!

This step by FG means victory for ASUU. Call off the strike now.

Politics › Re: Mandela Was Angry With Nigeria - Dr. Hakeem Baba-ahmed by Dee60: 9:21am On Dec 10, 2013
Until Nigerians become angry and demand accountability, we may just continue to make progress in trickles.

We need thorough and proven leaders. If Sanusi Lamido Sanusi can dump his brand of fundamental islamism,, I would have asked for such a leader.

PDP has the likes of Akinwunmi (Agric Minister), Amaechi (with proven results in Rivers) but they will never sponsor those ones for leadership. They always go for the weak, the corrupt and the incompetent! Maybe they will soon make Okupe a minister!

We must demand truth and justice. Look at Thailand, at Ukraine. They wont take nonsense, but Nigerians will line up behind corrupt people just to have a share of the loot!

There are so many celebrated rich Nigerians who have really done nothing other than share our oil wells, and loot our commonwealth. Until the people demand for change. Until then!

ochejoseph: Seriously I used to think it was a bad Idea but not anymore ,

1 with the No of Titus Gesha etc that Nigerian Students alone consume any right thinking Company would have thought of establishing a processing plant in Nigeria but No! For several Decades this Guys prefer to create Jobs for their people and ship the Fish for us to CONSUME

2. When the Obasanjo administration banned chicken I was a student at that time , I screamed to the heavens that it was suicidal as we lacked capacity to produce the quantity of chicken needed . I was completely wrong , I underestimated the entrepreneurial powers of the average Nigerian , today we are producing More chicken and eggs than we can consume . I could not believe we were importing eggs at a point in this country

3. We are not a land locked country ,our vast stretch of atlantic ocean could be used for something better than kidnapping ,piracy and Oil Bunkering

4 I know several families that produce and supply Chickens to Cold rooms, and this has created another stream of Good Income for several Household

We must Believe in ourselves ,we must stop this consuming Mentality , I grew up know Derica Tin tomatoes, Gesha ,Titus etc its time we stop wasting our harvests and start creating our own brands .

GOD BLESS NIGERIA
I concur.

Cheap politics from advisers with very low intelligence!

You should realize that it is improper to play 'holier than thou'! Why not wait till SA do theirs before you start your own show?

And they have not apologized for the silly comment likening Jonathan to Mandela.

Another scene and episode from our theatre of the absurd!

Politics › Re: President Jonathan Is Our Mandela ~ Doyin Okupe (on AIT) December 6, 2013 by Dee60: 5:08pm On Dec 07, 2013
These Jonathan set of advisers are the worst in history. They have completely misguided our president. Some of them are fanning the emblem of hatred and war.

Mandela's lessons are there for all to see but our set of politicians appear too blind to see that truth, love and unity are better than lie and hatred.

Can they produce a simple statement of account to show that N200billion is in the account?

I suspect that our universities would have resumed long ago but for the insults and lies that some of the advisers just enjoy reeling out to the whole country.

So shameless.
