Everything has happened already and you only live in the simulated reality to help you experience it and thus attain God Consciousness. So God's right hand means Christ and the Father are of equal position, honor, power and authority .

My word! Where in the quoted verse is this even suggested at all? ? ? ?

Is it not the reverse that is suggested for we see God helping Christ by asking him to sit by his side and helping to put his enemies beneath him?

That you can make this astonishing leap and conclude with the exact opposite of what the verse shows, just emphasizes how drastically you are willing to upturn scripture in order to sustain the non scriptural pagan doctrine of the Trinity.

*** Yahweh is called the Father because Jesus is His son in human flesh in the sense that He is God made manifest in human flesh.

Did Jesus not describe him as "my father and your father, my God and your God" - thus clearly showing that there is no difference between the way in which he is God and father to Jesus and the way he is God and Father to us?

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.

The original Greek rendition of this verse is open to myriad interpretation, amongst which valid possibilities include "the word was a god" as well as "the word was divine".

Now I note that there are good arguments to the contrary and which support the ordinary rendition "the word was God:" however in taking the entirely of John into consideration that cannot be supported. The very line immediately after that line contradicts it by saying "the same was in the beginning with God."

This shows me very clearly that it is more plausible to understand that the line referred to is not reconcilable with the following line is we are to hold that it referred to Jesus as God rather than as a god or as Divine.

Finally on this note I must add the even if it referred to the word being God, and the word being made flesh, in the overall context of Jesus own words which strongly repudiate the idea that he was God or ever would be God, it is more reasonable to understand that it referred to the word coming to Earth through Jesus: I.e: Jesus was the carrier of God's word: thus the word was made flesh in him - and still this does not make him God at all!

This is underscored by the fact that he stated that he was only a messenger of God and that he could do nothing except what the Father directed him to do!

One more thing: If I were you, who hold Jesus supreme, I would attribute more value to Jesus own words than to anything written by anyone else in the Bible if such stand in contradiction to Jesus words.

and verse 14
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Good: so you see that he comes "from the Father".

Christ also spoke in the Old Testament

Isaiah 48:16
“I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.”

This actually contradicts your position.

Christ explicitly said that he was sent by the Father (the Lord God) and His spirit (The Holy Spirit) .

If so, why then do you insist that he is both Messenger and Master? Both Agent and Principal?

You can clearly see his own explanation and the fact that he immediately referred to us all being gods!

And see further explanation of that:

Look at the underlined portion above. Am I to be KingEbuka, and are you to be Deepsight? Is his prayer there meant to make us the same person, or is it meant to make us united in spirit and purpose?

Therefore this explains the sort of oneness he refers to with God!

So please, please please STOP misrepresenting Christ on what he meant by oneness! It refers to unity of spirit and purpose and not that one entity is the same as the other!

The plural of royalty is nothing to hinge your claim on. Besides, it only refers to the real truth namely that it was a host of "gods" that embarked on the experiment of making the Earth and Man.

Having addressed all that, when are you going to address the 20 verses I showed you from your own Holy Scripture repudiating the Trinity?

A delusion is a belief held with strong conviction despite evidence against it.
Atleast, the noticeable ones, are beliefs harmful to men or not aligning to societal beliefs, but most are not harmful. That's why there are psychiatric hospitals.

Now about purpose, People who suffer from delusion would also have the impression that the belief held was meant to be.
There are over 2000 religions(known or forgotten), i don't completely know your view of spirituaility, but i hope you would agree with me based on the explanations above that atleast some are deluded, due to different circumstances.

I am talking about controversies around the formal acceptance of the doctrine of the Trinity by the Roman Curia.
Even the sitting Pope opposed the adoption of the doctrine if I recall correctly.

The Bible does not teach a triune God. It teaches one God. Christianity claims to be monotheistic but the doctrine of the Trinity makes a complete laugh of that.

Indeed efforts were made to smuggle the Trinity into the Bible. See 1 John 5:7 of the King James version. Check out the same verse in every other modern version and see for yourself that that which was smuggled into the KJV has since been smuggled out of newer versions because the discovery of older manuscripts shows that that verse was not there originally. The KJV rendition which imports the Trinity is not found in any Greek Manuscript before the 14th Century!

Is this alone not sufficient to show you two things:

1. That the bible is not inerrant and

2. That there has been much human manipulation of scripture to suit specific human interests?

The doctrine of the Trinity is nothing but another pagan teaching imported into scripture. Jesus was explicit that he was NOT God: he made this so abundantly clear that anyone who insists that he is God, is simply calling Jesus a liar then.

Unfortunately I have found that most Christians have a remarkable ability to dismiss their own scripture as false while imposing their own beliefs even against scripture.

Jesus said: Do not call me good, for only God is good. The Father is greater than I. I go to my father and your father, my God and your God.

Yet you say: Jesus is God. In short, you are right in this matter while Jesus is terribly wrong.

Perhaps you have a few things to teach Jesus?

How do you know of this "Purpose" and how does one know his purpose?

The same way wildlife find their purpose within any given ecosystem.

Purpose is built into the nature of the being or creature by default.

Observe: Wasps pollinate plants and flowers as they feed on nectar. This is important in the context of that ecosystem.

Observe: The grass grows and is eaten by the herbivorous beast. The carnivorous beast keeps the herbivorous beast alert and fit and checks its population. The herbivorous beast fertilizes the ground again and helps the grass grow. This is a cycle. This is important in the context of that ecosystem.

These are just two little examples for contemplation. I could cite thousands others in nature. The flora and fauna exist and interact in a cycle of life which is both intricate and astonishing. In due course, cycles of creatures have to make way for fresh cycles and fresh species.

What I am pointing to here is that the purpose you are asking for is in-built already in the nature of each being/ creature. If you want to know the purpose of a creature: observe its capabilities and that which it does to its environment, both positive and negative.

Now that is in terms of deciphering the purpose of a specie.

If you want to know your own purpose, observe your own talents and capabilities in your human and natural environment and what effects they may have.

You will see your purpose as clear as day light.

A christian deist just accept most of Christ teachings and not as a deity. If he says that God sent Jesus then why does he deny Jesus supremacy, after-all Jesus spoke of himself as being a god sent by God, or maybe he has a knowledge that Jesus himself(if he existed) didn't have.

God sends everybody.

Every living being is an emanation of the Godhead.

And every being has purpose.

It is the purpose of some beings to help other beings understand spiritual truth.

There is nothing I have said that suggests any "supremacy" for Jesus. I don't believe in that at all.

I am an atheist and I go to church regularly. It might be surprising but it is true. I don't go for any supernatural or faith reasons, I go for very material reasons-

Seriously though:

Why do you do this?

1) Respect;
99% of Nigerians are religious. Nigeria is a religious society and a man or woman who regularly goes to church with good car, fine family and good clothes will always get respected. Such a facade will always open doors for you. There is even a seating spot in the church where i go to where the "big boys" seat- it is not official but it is there. I have noticed that church wardens/ushers tend to patrol that side even more out f respect.

Why should you be concerned about such pretentious and hypocritical respect? Does this not run counter to all that you preach here and is it not just as hypocritical a leaning as that of those you so vociferously condemn?

2) Business opportunities;
Following the first point, being well dressed and regular in church opens many doors. You can get clients or business partners in church. Many people have the belief that a church man can't cheat them. Also, one can put adverts in church bulletins or pamphlets.

This is mercenary and would render you an opportunistic scavenger at best and an outright fraudster at worst.

3) Getting the knowledge to convince (and even brainwash) people
If you know my history on nairaland, then you know that I am a good "atheist evangelist" if I want to be. I learnt how to convince people from the best- priests and pastors. An atheist can improve both arguing skills and speech from copying the mannerisms of influential priests who control a huge flock of brainwashed sheep.

This reeks of an inferiority complex, don't you think?

I would adjure you to reflect again on this and admonish yourself appropriately.

Osogbo residents panic over notification letter by armed robbers
There was palpable fear at Kelebe Community in Osogbo, capital of Osun State over a letter that was circulated in the area, by unknown people, notifying the residents of the community about a proposed visit by the armed robbers.


The letter which was written in Yoruba language has circulated widely in the community and some of the residents were apprehensive about the scheduled armed robbery attack.

Daily Trust correspondent got a copy of the letter from one of the landlords in the community. A landlord hinted that some people have started relocating from the community because of the impending robbery attack.

The spokesperson of Kelebe Landlords Association, Mr Hakeem Bolarinwa told journalists that the warning was real and called on police and other security agencies in the state to be proactive by setting up necessary security measures that would ensure the safety of residents of the area.

Speaking on the development, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Fimihan Adeoye assured that policemen would be deployed to the area. He advised the residents of Kelebe and the entire people of Osun State not to panic over the purported letter.

The CP who spoke through the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Folasade Odoro said police detective would investigate the supposedly armed robbers’ notification letter.

Another doctrine that rebuts John TB as reincarnated Elijah is the Two Witnesses who play important roles in Christian eschatology . According to Revelation 11:1-14 , these two witnesses have not experienced death and the only two people known to have not experienced death in the bible are Elijah and Enoch . A spirit incarnate has to taste death for reincarnation to take place and the aforementioned prophets never experienced death because God took them .

Where did God take them to?

It is evident that through God's omnipotence, He incarnated . And you are clearly questioning God's omnipotence .

II And I see a problem . Christianity sees The Supreme Being as three separate conscious eternal entities(infinity + infinity + infinity= infinity) and you see God as one entity so you think subsuming himself in a human being would lead to a collapse of time and space . But this "theory" works perfectly if the Supreme Being is three entities and one of them becomes a spirit incarnate or human for a purpose.(infinity + Infinity - infinity = Infinity )

III You have to understand the purpose of God's incarnation - to save mankind from imminent doom because He does not want man to perish . Its more of understanding the spiritual significance of his action .

Omnipotence does not extend to logical impossibilities.

Thus, omnipotence will refer to the capacity to do anything which is possible in the natural reality existing by default as an emanation of God itself: God itself is the singularity of all logic.

Thus omnipotence will not mean that God can, for example:

1. Create a Square Circle, OR -

2. Create a Stone that is impossible for him to lift and then proceed to lift it.

My personal take is that Divinity is too transcendent to be contained in a human physical vessel:
