Thank God she has a natural-beautiful smile unlike that 'Moments wiv Mo' Lady, Whatever her name.
Some people can sha talk rubbish. How does a "natural-beautiful" smile add to anything? And besides, stop bashing Mo Abudu. She's doing a very wonderful job. Have you actually sat down to listen to any of her shows? You could learn a thing or two you know!

THE-AMAKA:
but maybe some people in naija arent aware of this, so its good to hear these things.
The closest I can come to in following Pharoh's 'footsteps' is "THINK B4 U TYPE"
So, women in 9ja arent aware they should wash their faces, drink enough water and get enough sleep? LWKMD.

HealthRe: Sleep Paralysis: Yoruba Calls It 'orinrin'. It Is Not A by DeepSoul(f): 11:44pm On Nov 09, 2009
Really really coincidental that I stumbled upon this thread today! Just finished readin up articles on Sleeping Paralysis some mins ago!

I didnt even know something like that existed till yesterday!

Growing up, it was usual to hear people say they were pressed (usually by witches) while they were asleep.

Altho it neva happened to me, I heard too many people say it over the years for me 2 consider it untrue. So I just blived it to be some form of spiritual "attack".

About 2 weeks ago, my usually enlightened friend told me an old man came to press her while she was asleep. She said she was lying on her back and felt the man sitting on her. It got freakier when she told me she even saw his wrinkled hands. According to her, she suspected her neighbour's old security guard, lol.

I cant wait to enlighten her on this. This is a very common thing that happens globally. . .it's almost funny to discover it actually is a medical condition! Imagine all d people thinkin they were being pressed by winches and winchards grin

simiad:
- Veggies - efo riro w/fish, any naija vegetable soup will do, try not to use palm oil in cooking.
Thats the hard one for me! Cookin soup without palm oil. Is there a safer alternative?

Anyways here's my small contribution:

Drink loads of water. A sprinkle of lime juice in your water wldnt hurt.

Eat unripe plantain rather than the ripe one (contains more carbs cos of the sweetness).

If you think unripe plantain is boring, you could spice it up by making it into a porridge or eating it with peppersoup.

Peppersoup is another good one. Whn you r hungry (esp at night), eat peppersoup with lots of pepper in it, it has a way of making u feel really full for a long time.

Rather than eat garri (high in starch), eat semovita or wheat flour

Replace red meat with fish.

Replace white bread with wheat bread.

Replace butter with salad (with as little dressin as possible)

Eat chicken without the skin.

Eat loads of beans.

As for eating groundnuts, spice it up with a little cucumber and you'd be surprised at how satisfyin d combo is!

And my new favourite - WATERMELON!

** Having said all these, how do I cure my chocolate cake and pizza addictions? grin

RomanceRe: Is It Possible To Involuntarily Fall Out Of Love? by DeepSoul(f): 5:57pm On Oct 26, 2009
I think it should be the reverse question - Is it possibe tp Voluntarily fall out of love.

Involuntarily falling out happens sooner or later for reasons beyond your control. Ther's nothin "off" about it.

Happens everyday. The main issue/problem most pple have is voluntarily falling out of love.

Some pple love pple that they are tired of loving but just cant stop loving smiley

Now, THAT is an issue
RomanceRe: Why are Men not Crazy about Tall Girls? by DeepSoul(f): 5:38pm On Oct 26, 2009
Poster has been meeting the wrong guys! Guys I meet love me! (dont I just sound a bit conceited)

But seriously, being tall has more pros than cons. You get some serious attention and sift thru them as you see necessary

Altho Im not 6'1, I'v met some guys who Im taller than but just wouldnt give up! I just think u hv bn meetin d wrong ones sha!

The only downside of being a tall woman (@least for me) is I cant be attracted to a man who Im taller than so it makes it not so easy for me to find sm1 I wanna "relate" with!

@Anabel
I wonder what you mean by "easier to handle" undecided

Step in the right direction.

I cant date sm1 I feel nothin for, talkless of marriage!

Marriage! It's forever oh! I even think you wasted too much time with him - 3yrs! That over 1,000 days.

Its better to be alone rather than be stuck in a loveless, unhappy union! And you'd make ur kids go thru the trauma of growin up in a loveless home.

Kudos jare
HealthRe: Do Stretch Marks Matter? by DeepSoul(f): 4:39pm On Oct 26, 2009
And who are all these pot-bellied men attackin women on this forum sef?

Stretch marks are better than pot-belly!  tongue
HealthRe: Do Stretch Marks Matter? by DeepSoul(f): 4:35pm On Oct 26, 2009
There are different type of stretch marks. I recently noticed small on my thighs. . .I'm running to go and get BIO OIL tomorrow. I hear it's good for marks. See free advert, lol.

Ther's also the type that looks like the person was cut with a knife! It's usually seen in fat women, on their arms. I really dont like that type and think the "affected" pple shld cover it up rather than make us see it! Cos I'd definitely cover up if it were me.

But then, stretch marks are inevitable and natural. The degree just varies and women are most commonly affected.

Any man who thinks it's consequential in a relationship must be a joker. If u like marry a model, after she gives birth she will most likely have some.

It is a very good initiative. We are also organizing a miss ASHAWO award. I do sincerely hope that an SHAWO in Pprt-harcourt wins.
Why the special interest in PH?

TheSeeker:
No one has nailed the point yet. Nigeria has an undertone to all their intentions. Who doesn't know this is a trick to get money from corporate bodies and embezzle it? At the end of the day you'll hear controversies streaming all over everywhere about prizes owed to the contestants. What ever happened to public awareness programs? What ever happened to providing of free drugs for the sustenance of these victims?
Plain and simple. Its just a ploy to make money from corporate sponsorhips. Most companies would readily dole out money for sponsorphip in order to be seen as "humanitarian" or having Corporate Social Responsibility.

Some smart, greedy Nigerians have simply decided to capitalize on this as they do with almost everything.

The Ms Abali Motor Park na lie abeg. Una too dey lie lie for NL
