FamilyRe: Son Drags 96-yr-old Father To Court Over Plans To Re-marry by deeptesting(m): 8:25pm On Dec 11, 2013
Kalu after listening to both counsel asked Israel why he wanted another wife.
Israel told the court that his decision to re-marry was to get somebody to cook and assist him in keeping the compound clean.
“Since my wife died eight years ago, nobody cooks or assists in cleaning the compound for me.
All my children live in America,” he claimed.

The plaintiff told the court that he received with shock the plans of his father to re-marry at his age.
He said: “if my father must get another wife, he ought to discuss it with me.”[

There is no need for alternative dispute resolution,i will base my judgement on the above statement from Father and Son.

I have not had any bad experience with the Police but my problem with the men on black is their entitlement spirit. I don`t know why they always feel that people should give them handouts and if you don`t you become a bad person. From the DPO of a station to the corporal on the street.

Many never understood the legacy of Madiba. If Madiba had the opportunity to select those who will speak on his memorial,i think he will give it to all those who stood against the freedom of black South Africans and not those who fought to bring it to an end. Sometimes,i sit back with a bottle of 1756 wondering how Nigeria, the most populous black Nation with rare breed of intellectuals got to these irreparable state.

Ishilove: In my experience, when robbers chase you in dreams, it is to steal your blessings. You were given the grace to overcome them. You need to pray that every power that wants to steal your goodness should be arrested and destroyed.

As for the second, you need to pray not to have issues with people in position of authority. Any strife coming your way, ask God to clear it away.

I had a dream 2 nights ago, robbers were chasing me and then they started shooting at me,i was so scared as they were getting close to me and suddenly i changed to a bird and flew away, they did not relent as they beckoned on their sharp shooter to bring me down but i was still meandering his bullets when i woke up from sleep...Please what does it signify?

Then just last a friend called me to meet him in a bank, i got there parked my car and went inside to meet him but he was no where to be found, while i was waiting for him,the security guards were looking for me to move my vehicle so the banks bullion van can move in but the information couldnt get to me early and they reported my vehicle to EFCC and by the time i came out i saw a notice on the car "Reported to EFCC". Please what is the significance of this dream. A friend said i am destined to be a politician and will steal more than James Ibori hence the isssue of EFCC.
Science/TechnologyRe: All your Inverter problems by deeptesting(m): 3:21pm On Dec 09, 2013
speedyboi: if your wiring was done by a certified electrical engineer, then you don't have a problem. Lighting system, heating system (cookers etc), sockets etc are connected to different circuit breakers on the distribution board cos their ratings vary. So all you need do is get an engineer to help you include the lighting system. But if na those electricians wire your house for you, then your case don enter voicemail...because they connect anyhow to the distribution board grin. That's the reason why appliance blow up when current is high instead of the 15amps circuit breaker to just switch off. In the apartment i'm staying, whoever wired it connected some sockets to 30amps that is meant for cooker. So technically; apart from the fact that such house can't achieve what you wanna do due to mixed up connections, my appliances are not safe too sad.
Ok thanks i will get in touch with the Electrician armed with this information.

@OP take a deep breath, relax, clear your head and possibly get yourself a bottle of beer.. I believe your MIL has been in your house not for fun but assisting your young family with the new born..Shi**t do happen in life but what matters is how you handle and cope with it.. Be a real man, call your wife and discuss with her and also call your MIL who is also your Mum and apologize to her if you really said something bad to her daughter ,love conquers all things. I am telling you from experience i am old in the marriage game and have fought many unimaginable battles to sustain my marriage even to the extent of banishing my in-laws(Mother and father) from visiting my home just to save my marriage. You were quite immature the way you handle the issue, you would have simply put off the generator and change over without saying a word to them. If you want to have a happy marital life you have got to be real patient and discerning. Please i am not exonerating your MIL`s action but i want you to pursue peace, love and joy to have a happy family... I can assure you that many more issues will come your way, will you always scream, drive away your in-laws or move out from the house? You don`t want to make more mistakes in the course of correcting a mistake,i want you to be matured and be a man.

Now, from your write up even if the court awards you 1million naira as damages it will not get you an admission except you put your a*ss down and study but i know how difficult that will be now that you have started making money. Stop following the short cuts, forget your Dad and pursue your dream. Hope you are taking care of your Mum? Cheers.

PoliticsRe: Go And Die - Oshiomole Tells A Widow! by deeptesting(m): 9:17pm On Nov 28, 2013
pmc01: I know many will disagree with my stand, but I still make bold to state my view to the matter.

While the Governor be scolded for letting his emotions get the better of him, it is really provoking that someone comes up with the cheap excuse of 'being a poor widow' to do what is wrong. It is obvious the woman was fully aware of the wrong she was engaged in, hence the struggle to bail herself out with an emotional excuse of being a struggling widow.

The woman was not willing to accept responsibility for her actions, and that might have really gotten on the nerves of the Governor (he is human too). From comments read, some people have attested to the man's humility and all that, so it is only fair to give him the excuse that he was really provoked. Of course, it is obvious he meant the statement figuratively (even though it seems he went too far than expected of him).

I also wish to state here that we should put a hold on our emotions and judge this matter rationally. It is normal that anyone guilty of a crime would seek to exonerate himself/herself, but does that justify the crime? There are many poor widows all over (assuming she is truly a widow) that do not stay on the wrong side of the law and give room to this kind of embarrassing scenario, so what is the fuss about? Every offender could claim to be a widow, widower, orphan, e.t.c., should they all then be pitied and the society allowed to become chaotic?

Fact is the Governor was harsh, but the woman gave room for that. She was simply trying to blackmail the Governor into setting a bad precedence and the man had to take a firm and resolute decision, having in mind that the people he employed to enforce the law were watching to see whether he will compromise or not. She should just have admitted her fault and plead for mercy, rather than play the emotional card. The truth is everyone in that state will now be on their toes and be more inclined to obey the law strictly, to avoid been a 'scape-goat'. We know how Nigerians have to be 'forced' to do what's right.

It is sad that indiscipline has become a way of life for us here and so many supposedly enlightened ones here have decided to approach this matter with emotional sentiments, rather than an objective outlook.

What is wrong is wrong, widow or no widow!

N.B.: Whoever thinks I am here to defend my 'principal' is on his or her own. I am not responsible for your wrong perception of me. Thank you!
Have you ever given a thought why the poor in Nigeria don`t obey the law and when caught they play the emotional card? The answer is simply because the rich or the leaders that ought to be examples do not also obey the law and when they are caught they use their positions and money to bail themselves out.. My friend such word from the governor can propel her to commit suicide, not everyone is strong..

rudedough: Do learn to respect other people's view and leave yours. We don't have to agree on the same ideology but I don't accept insults. Please be civilised and democratic.

If you don't have the balls to subdue emotions, you can't run a good Government because people would always cry. No trading on the Pedestrian, she should learn to obey the law.

Like I said, Oshiomole picked the wrong choice of words but If Mrs A cries and he forgives her, Mrs B would cry too. Soon SME owners will abandon their shops and bring their goods outside to compete with their counterpart.

"Ohh they're poor, let's let them trade on the roadside". That was how Nigeria became a slum in the first place.

If I was as rich as Billy, i'll make Nigeria my toilet. Anytime I'm pressed I'll just fly over Nigeria airspace and take a dump out the window. It's that messed up. cheesy cheesy
Young man get the point straight,no one is stopping the Governor from doing his job but his approach and choice of words while carrying out his duty were wrong and despicable...We have to grow up and stop treating people like animals..A responsible governor would listen to her plea to find out why she was there at that point, then treat her with dignity even though you are to confiscate her goods...She is presume guilty by the law until a court of competent jurisdiction finds her guilty..So your argument is baseless, repugnant, wicked and inhuman.

May God of Mercy comes to our aid
Point of correction: Asari Dokubo was never a militant,he was a freedom fighter and that was the reason he never accepted amnesty during Yaradua`s administration. You can do yourself some good to do a research on this issue when the Yaradua`s administration offered amnesty to Niger Delta militants. The real Militants are the Nigerian Government and its international partners (Oil companies) that have ravaged our lands and creeks stealing our resources and polluting our land with the barrel of the gun.
