From 1969-1992, the Brtish Army was fighing the IRA in Northern Ireland. The fact is, the British never succeded in defeating the IRA conventinally. The war in the North is going to continue for a while yet. There are a whole lot of things the police need to clamp down on, the police should completely ban the following;use of spy number on non operational vehicles,use of tinted glasses for whatever reason,use of sirens by unauthorized persons/vehicles,use of security flash lights on non security vehicles, covering or defacing of number plates partially or completely,make the use of overhead carrier for all commercial vehicles compulsory,ban additional attachment of lightings on vehicles,ban the use of any logo other than a formal registered number plate etc, in fact the police need to approach the NASS to be empowered to give a legal binding order on any arising matter or situation not covered by law pending when a law would be made to such effect,there are so many things the police can do to the delight of patriotic citizens n even make money instead of the cruel n brazen corruption they engage in.

BREAKING!!! Tension As Gunmen Storm Police Station In Ebonyi, 3 Killed, Others Injured!

There is currently tension in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital after suspected gunmen killed three police officers while 2 others were injured in Ezza South LGA of the state.

IGBERE TV gathered that the the slain officers identified as Inspector Danzumi Jimba, Inspector chilaka Anthony and Corporal Juliana Ugwu-Anyim were killed on Friday, 8 January.

An eyewitness who spoke with IGBERE TV said the policemen were attacked by suspected hoodlums who invaded the police station at about 8:45pm on Friday night.

Investigations revealed that the slain officers were two inspectors and one female who was relaxing in her room when the hoodlums struck.

It was also gathered that the attackers took away three AK 47 rifles kept at the station.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Loveth Oda, who confirmed the incident explained that corpses of the slain officers had been deposited in a mortuary while the two who sustained bullet wounds were receiving treatment.

However, the Commissioner for Internal Security in the State, Mr. Stanley Okoroemegha, said government was saddened by the incident and had given security agencies forty-eight hours to brief the government on how such breach occurred without any intelligence to forestall it.

kidnapping is a very dangerous n difficult crime to fight,it's also very lucrative for the perpetrators,the issue of justifying crime because of poverty is another delicate one as there's no society without poverty,in fact if everyone were to be rich the society would still be problematic,who would serve who?, the government security effort against kidnapping is too dependant on human effort massive technology need to be involved,one recurring points in these kidnappings is the "trekking in to thick Forrest"this means areas on the highway with Large forest cover with little human presence are fertile grounds for those kidnappers n needs to be monitored n mapped using drones, I'm sure other less expensive but effective technologies are also available that can be used, something tells me the American the US special forces rescued had a tracking device on him, simple devices like night vision googles are very important in highway crime fighting,not just buying Hilux vehicles with sirens n multicolored flash lights only abeg.
