How a Pastor 'Stole' a $25,000.00 Open Bank Cheque During Dinner in Member's House A Successful Nigerian couple invited the Pastor of their Church for dinner in their home in California, United States of America. After the Pastor left, the couple realized their cheque had disappeared. The man said to his wife; “I think the Pastor has stolen the $25,000.00 open bank check that I kept here on the table of which I had the intention to give to him”. Angrily his wife exclaimed; “Hmmmm! All of them are just the same. If they are not fake, they are thieves. There is no need to invite him again, we shall from henceforth be attending another Church”. Two Months Later, the woman met the Pastor on a certain street and was courageous enough to face him and said: “Good morning Pastor, you have surely realised that we no longer attend Church, this is because we're angry with you. The day you ate in our house, there was a $25,000.00 open bank check on the table but unfortunately it disappeared while we we're eating. You were the only Person who visited our house at that time”. The Pastor said to her, “Yes, I took the cheque. I put it in your Bible to avoid spilling the sauce on it”. The woman got so confused and asked the Pastor to forgive her. Back in her house, she took up the Bible and found the bank check which had been there for two months. This meant that for two months, she had not opened her bible. For two months, she and her husband falsely accused the innocent Pastor. For two months, the incident had tortured them unnecessarily. How many times do we suspect and accuse other people without reasonable proof, evidence or testimony? How many times do you wrongly give someone a bad name? How many times do you misinterpret the actions of a brother or sister that means well for you? Lesson: if you think your brother has offended you..tell him....ask him...iron it out....or let it go if u don't want to confront him or her, do not harbour a grudge or hold a beef for nothing. I know the ending will be disappointing for some bad belle but to GOD be all the glory, there are plenty great Men of GOD out there. Good morning and hope you have learnt a lesson. Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year

Glory be to God for unending grace and mercies, for His church is able to commence renovations, expected to be finished by January. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0VTTQ65jnE New Covenant Church-Iju Center, One of Lagos foremost centers for spiritual edification, since the early 2000s, is undergoing an intense facelift, glory be to God for laying it in the hearts of His people All through 2021, reformation activities have steadily been ongoing within the house of God, both in aesthetics and spiritual teachings, however due to rising cost of materials and repairs, completion might extend till January 2022. Additional costs towards providing an extension for increasing worshipers, along with a new viewpoint for the house of God, is the highlight of the increasing budget. "Good afternoon dear bretheren. Work has commenced at the church and we need all the fund and support for the work to start coming in" posted on the church platform by the amiable Reverend Kayode Bajomo, resident Reverend and shepherd of the Iju flock. "As many who have pledged we trust the Lord to grant us the enablement to begin to redeem our pledges. As many who still want to make financial commitments please feel free to do so. Do kindly make use of the church account. The work continues tomorrow. I have had to stretch personally financially to keep up the flow of the work. The Lord bless you as you put in your financial effort to give the church a new outlook. The Lord greatly honour us all. Shalom" he gracefully added. New Covenant Church-Iju Center is a Lagos landmark, and popular destination not just for community residents seeking true worship, but also those seeking salvation and restoration. Therefore it is in the interest of Lagosians and true worshipers of the living God to participate in the renovation of this spiritual citadel. The spiritual benefits of participating in kingdom affairs such as this renovation in progress is very invaluable, as it brings about heavenly blessings asides internal joy and fulfillment. One among principal reasons the church is a spiritual destination is its Tuesday Bible study series, which has featured topics such as "Life Big Questions" and the concept of "Stewardship" in the affairs of God. Service still runs as usual, and there will be a crossover service this year in the church auditorium, the church can be reached on +234 803 403 3027

WE’LL CONTINUE TO PLAY LEADING ROLE TO SECURE LAGOS, SAYS SANWO-OLU • N3m needed to kit one police officer, says LSSTF Boss www.trekafrica.net Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reassured residents of the State that his administration will continue to play the leading role to secure the State. He said his administration has demonstrated its commitment in the past and will remain resolute in its quest to enhance peace and security, with the support and partnership from people of the State. Speaking at the 15th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security with the Governor, themed: "Reconceptualising Safety and Security in Lagos State" held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the State Government is pressing ahead with its security trust fund's vision of making the state the safest, most secure and prosperous commercial nerve centre in Africa. The Governor also disclosed that the State Government and the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) with an investment of over N3billion in security and with the active support of the private sector, procured and deployed security assets for the use of the Nigeria Police. He said his administration is committed to programmes, policies and projects targeted at socio-economic development, creation of job opportunities, prosperity and the sustenance of hope in the hearts and lives of people in the state. Governor Sanwo-Olu, who called for support to collectively tackle cultism, bullying in schools and other social vices, assured the residents that his government, in line with the vision of 21st Century megacity would deliver a call centre that is truly responsive to ensure a Greater Lagos. He said: “We will continue to train and retrain all enforcement agents of the Lagos State government, while also supporting the federal security agencies to improve their effectiveness. We have continued to foster engagements with the various security agencies in the state, demanding that they work together to dislodge criminal elements from our state. These engagements have yielded results as we have developed a mechanism in which every agency works in synergy with others to improve the State’s security architecture.” Governor Sanwo-Olu, while appreciating the management of the LSSTF, the Lagos Police Command of the Nigeria Police and other security agencies, commended the generous contributions of donors to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Boards of Trustees (BoT) of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Mr. Kehinde Durosimi-Etti, said the annual security town hall meeting is for security agencies to render an account of their operations and also provide the present administration, the opportunities to share its vision for a safer and more secured Lagos. Durosimi-Etti, who saluted the commitment of security agents for optimally carrying out their duties, stated that the Fund would continue to play a pivotal role in strengthening the security architecture of the state through partnership and development. He also implored the private sector and individuals to play their part by contributing to the LSSTF to ensure that the security agencies in the state are fully equipped so as to respond swiftly to any security breach. The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, said N3million is needed to fully and properly kit a police officer. He said: "The high cost of equipment required for security is a big issue, especially for technology related equipment such as good quality drones, CCTV cameras, trackers, etc. "Our security agencies require advanced training, more equipment that would support an intelligence-led approach to crime prevention (drones, trackers, scanners at city gates, gunshot detection devices), more non-lethal weaponry. “To fully kit one policeman with uniform, taser, tactical gear (light, knife, jacket, belt, gloves, shoulder, ankle, and boots), bulletproof vest, ballistic helmet, tear gas, push-to-talk on cellular communication equipment, rain gear, etc, will cost at least N3 million. Hence to kit 33,000 police officers in Lagos will cost about N99 billion. This is our reality if we truly want a highly motivated and fully equipped police force in the state." On his part, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu confirmed that in the last one year, cases of crime within the state have reduced. Odumosu, who disclosed that no bank robbery was recorded in the last one year, called on the general public to support the fight against crime and cultism. He said the Lagos Command will continue to rely on logistics support from Lagos State Government, LSSTF and other stakeholders in order to sustain the current tempo against crimes and criminalities in the State. Some of the speakers and stakeholders at the 15th Annual Town Hall Meeting with the Governor also commended the Lagos State Government for improving the security architecture in the state and pledged their continuous support to tackle security challenges in Lagos.

God be praised Christmas is Jesus Christ season and as expected, every Christian is geared towards making the most of this period. Nice clothes, fancy trips, family visitations and outings, along with exchange of gifts and so much more characterize this special holiday but in doing all these, we must ask ourselves, are we truly doing the will of Him who we are celebrating? God has given us divine direction already, and Christ has come to deliver the most important message, which is characterized by divine love. So as believers, what are we doing with the direction and message content. Being born again doesn't matter, it's not about church or religious activities, even the Pastors we are running to need help. The Bible clearly states that any vine that does not bear fruit will be cut off, so it boils down to your personal encounter and subsequent relationship with GOD. So my charge is that we all make the most of this season to begin to build and develop a more solid relationship with our Maker and His Son, who we are supposedly celebrating. The devil is a subtle genius with various marketing ideas and strategies, but GOD is aware of everything. Especially those who seek HIM in truth and in spirit. When GOD calls, this is the time to answer, dont procrastinate. What should be on our minds is what to do with the opportunities we are blessed with in Christ. What kind of believer are you?

In one certain Parish, the late Bishop Michael Eneja of Nsukka Catholic Diocese was on a Pastoral visit. That faithful late afternoon, the weather was very hot, such that staying inside the Church or Hall was not an option at all. The Saintly Bishop decided to have his teaching outside, under the avocado pea tree at the center of Church premises. This impromptu change of arrangement caused a stir, occasioning a lot of running around for the Parish PRIEST and other key officers of the Parish council. The major drama happened when the Parish PRIEST returned with a conference table and discovered that the Bishop had already picked up a broom at the front of the Church and started sweeping. On sighting the Bishop bending down with a broom in his hand sweeping, the Parish PRIEST shouted "My Lord, please don't do that to me! Give me the broom, let me do the sweeping myself!" Despite the Priest's insistence, the Bishop refused to allow him. On the contrary, he said to the priest, "Go and get your own broom." In obedience, the Parish PRIEST went and picked up his own broom and started sweeping. It did not take long before the catechist arrived at the scene and saw both His Lordship and the Parish PRIEST sweeping, and he nearly fainted! The catechist rushed the Parish priest to collect the broom from him but the PRIEST told him, "Go and get your own broom." The same continued until everyone who came for the conference got their own broom. Just within minutes the whole compound was clean and the Bishop continued with his catechetical instruction. I think Nigeria's problem can be solved with all of us "getting our own brooms" and joining in the sweeping of the mess we found ourselves. If everybody is to sweep their corner, the whole nation would be sparkling clean within minutes. It is all about starting small and starting it by yourself now. We can still do it. Let's do it!. Together, we can! _''Building a Greater Nation Start with me" GET YOUR OWN BŔOOM God bless you as you do so.

YOUTH-CENTRIC POLICIES: LAGOS MINISTRIES, AGENCIES ADDRESSES NIGERIAN YOUTHS AT LASGOBIG’S EKO YOUTH EAGLE SUMMIT; MOBOLAJI OGUNLENDE SAYS ‘GOVERNMENT CANNOT DO IT ALONE’ By Yomi Oyelami www.trekafrica.net It was a highly engaging session yesterday aimed at bridging the gap in governance when ministries and agencies of Lagos state met with youth leaders drawn from different spheres to look at the successes and challenges in the outgoing year in order to fashion out modalities for the years ahead, Yomi Oyelami of Trek Africa Newspaper Reports. The occasion was Lagos State Governance Builders Independent Group (LASGOBIG)’s Eko Youth Eagles Summit. Organized with the partnership of RAK Development Foundation, the conference was themed ‘Soar in a New World Reality by Maximizing Youth Potentials’. Addressing youths gathered at the event by his speech, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mr. Olusegun Dawodu noted: ‘We are committed to the actualization of this cause and in view of this, I welcome the suggestions on how to mobilize youths to move Lagos state forward. We are aware of some of the challenges youths are faced with but I can assure you as a government under the youth-friendly Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, we are putting more structures in place to accommodate more youths. In 2021, we have been able to embark on different initiatives and programmes. We are hopeful that the following year will be better.’ Various ministries and agencies of Lagos State took their turns to give an account of the youth-inclusive programmes and activities they have embarked upon in the course of the outgoing year. Representatives of the various ministries include Mrs. Kehinde Taiwo from Ministry of Justice; Mr. Philip from Ministry of Tourism; Owolabi Victoria and Oluranti Akinlosotu from Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Co-operatives; Engr. Toriola from Ministry of Transportation; among others. They gave presentations on how their ministries and agencies have impacted the millions of youths based in Lagos and Nigeria at large. The team of youth leaders who attended also had the opportunity to check the reality of the projects and activities based on a printed scorecard and also by asking questions. Speaking on the intents of the conference, Mobolaji Ogunlende, the founder of RAK Development Foundation who is also a partner on the project said: ‘I like to call it a dialogue. It is an engagement between ministries and the youths. It is to showcase what the ministries have been doing so that the youth leaders can take back to their various communities.’ ‘We all know the government cannot do it alone. At the same time, they are doing a lot. One of the submissions from the panelists is that the ministries need to create more awareness and make their initiatives and activities known to the general public. They have also given the youths an opportunity to also see and criticize them, to spur them, and also tell them what they can do better. One of the submissions from the ministries is that if the youths are not engaging them, they would not know what the youth wants and if they don’t know what the youth wants, they won’t know what to put in the budget for the government.’ ‘This sort of interaction and dialogue is a win-win for both the ministries and the youths. At the same time, it also gives everybody an opportunity to get access to information as to what is being done and how they can benefit from it’, the youth advocate concluded. On his part, the PRO of Lagos State Governance Builders Independent Group (LASGOBIG), Emmanuel Amuwo noted: ‘You will agree with me that things are not the same anymore for Nigerian youths. Many have lost hope, millions are bitter, they no longer believe in that country they were so proud of while growing up. The strength to keep going is gone causing many to resort to all kinds of escape routes which are mostly illegal ways.’ Sharing on the capacity of Nigeria’s burgeoning youth population, a panelist, Mr. Shola Adegberioye affirmed: ‘We have strength on our side. We have population on our side. We have entrepreneurship skills on our side. But success does not come without discipline. There is not entitlement. It is a privilege. If we are to change anything, we have to get to work. I hope we get our acts together. Get involved.’ Another panelist, Mrs. Titilayo Omotayo Alade remarked: ‘Without our history, we can’t make a good plan of out future. Social media is a strategic instrument that we can use to impact our nation. The pandemic put a lot of countries into impoverishment but some people also became millionaires and billionaires. As Nigerian youths, what did we come out of the pandemic with? The pandemic started in China and we saw the economy of China nosediving but today, we all have this nose mask. They turned their misfortune to fortune.’ ‘We had Endsars last year and we saw the potentials of Nigerian youths even though people are not happy with the aftermath but it shows that Nigerian youths are a force to reckon with. No matter what good plans you have, without discipline, you are not going anywhere.’ Some youth observers also spoke. The All Progressives Congresss (APC) youth leader, Seriki Muritala commented on two issues, ‘we have a poor diversity. We have a lot of activities but a lot of people out there are not aware. We should try to get this information down to the grassroots. We have to have a proper data system which we can say that come 2022, this is what Lagos State Government is doing, this is what private sector is doing to empower youths.’ The General Secretary of Junior Chambers International (JCI) added: ‘As much as the government and private sector are trying to be able to make the youths as inclusive as possible, JCI in its little way have tried to gather youths together to get them interested in governance and also grow in entrepreneurship and leadership.’

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNQ5riLZP9A To God be all the glory, as a Christmas fantasy came alive, during a 6 hours with God concert hosted by valiant friends of Christ within the CRWERA community in Lagos, featuring diverse groups of Christian talents, especially Gospel Vibes crooner, Evangelist Tope Alabi. Chief Rotimi Williams Estate Residents Association (CRWERA), realized a family fantasy during its maiden edition of Christmas Carol and Praise Night, tagged "6 hours with God" which took place on Monday, December 13- complete with Bible readings, solo performances, group and mass choir presentations, including words of exhortation, and prayers for the nation. A highly esteemed resident who spoke with journalists concerning the planning and execution of the mega affair stated that the Estate's executives under the chairmanship of Pastor Seyi Adeyemi decided to put together a first of its kind Christmas Carol and Praise Night, "for unity and bonding of residents regardless of ethnic and religious background, and to appreciate God for His mercies, grace and love over every resident, especially during the pandemic. Also seeking His face for good tidings, protection, peace and abundance in Nigeria towards the coming year". Seven Church Choirs, including that of Rhema Chapel, Winners Chapel, RCCG, MFM, Catholic of Don Bosco, Jesus Liberation Ministry and The Worship Center were invited to perform at the Carol of Nine Lessons, that was well attended by over five thousand people, including residents and non residents of the estate. Renowned gospel singer, Evangelist Tope Alabi of the Gospel Vibes was on ground as the Guest Minister. A committee headed by Mr Omololu Akinwande was set up to plan and actualise the vision. According to the Planning Committee Chairman, the main message of the event is that, in all situations and condition we may find ourselves, we should always give thanks. Having reasons to appreciate God regardless of what we are going through as an individual, people and as a nation, is one of the key channels God's blessing and abundance." In an interview with Pastor (Dr.) Benard Omoyeni at the event, he stated that It's awesome to behold this atmosphere of God's presence triggered by high praises. We are here to return all the glory to God for His faithfulness and mercy all through the year 2021. This Christmas season offers unique opportunity to appreciate God for the gift of His son Jesus Christ and His wonderful works. I have no doubt that this event will ursher in landmark peace and progress in Kayfarm Estate in the years ahead. "Turnout of people enmass inspite of the National mood is a pointer to the fact that Nigerians still believe that all will be well." Dr. Benard Omoyeni added. Heralded by Olatunbosun Tolu as Master of Ceremony, live performances began by 4pm, and held on stage till 10pm, at the KayFarm football pitch, located just within walking distance of the main gate, as the whole affair was open to all fun seeking families and more importantly, friends of Christ. "Its exciting to be in such an atmosphere, I love being in God's presence, especially when it comes to praising and worshipping Him. I can dance all night. Not to mention the inspiring performances of the music ministers, and Tope Alabi in the building, as long as they can sing all night, I will dance all night" said Julius Omotayo, an evangelist and representative of an invited ministry Chief Fredrick Rotimi Williams Estate(Kay Farms) is a residential community with over two thousand inhabitants, home to several affluent families, and illustrious establishments, including schools, hotels and businesses. KayFarm brags of architectural delights and ultramodern facilities including a town hall, car park, actual farmlands and a football pitch which serves estate residents and visitors from allover.
