Tribalism even on topics that should be sources of valuable information and greater knowledge! It's so annoying and irritating most times. It shows a level of poverty of thought, lack of exposure immaturity and an archaic mindset (bushman mentality perhaps). NL was far more classy and had more intellectuals in the early years. |

Cryomancer: Thanks a lot for these kind words. You just gave me a motivation I need at the moment.
God bless you Sir. Please remain focused on God not your Pastors. Be spirit filled and the Lord will direct you. Trust and obey Him to direct your path. It's from personal experience really. Seek the Lord in the spirit. Pray for wisdom and a discerning mind. Seek knowledge. You'll be on a cruise with God and easily downplay the failings of Pastors. Pastors are human and will fail from time to time. Read up on David who was so loved by God to understand more about this. No one is perfect though we all seek perfection in our own way. Remember that you're in Church to worship and serve God basically. Do that which is necessary and leave all else to the ultimate judge. |

Those who understand the workings of the spirit understand that this is possible. When you are able to decipher God's messages as you hear in the spirit, you're able to make meaningful progress as you obey. We're all created to achieve various purposes in line with God's plan.
Life is more glorious when our divine purposes are fulfilled.
Congratulations to the new Kabiyesi. Wishing him a glorious reign. |

JEWELofHELL666: This is an unpopular opinion, but it's the truth. Chinelo caused her own death.
As a medical doctor, she should know better that a gunshot wound is a medical emergency that requires basic first aid applications like stopping the bleeding, using hand, cloth, etc.
But what did she do? She decided to chase clout by opening her Twitter application and going through the stress of typing "I'm in the train. I have been shot, please pray for me."
This is a bad first aid practice. It changed a lot. The hand she should have used to stop the bleeding was used to call for prayers on Twitter. To her, her followers' superstitious prayers are more effective than first aid.
May her soul rest in peace. Very unfair comment! She was seeking help not chasing clout. How could she have helped herself. Someone who appeared to have been shot in the chest. |

Politics › Re: Kemi Adeosun: I Cried Every Day For Three Months by delpee(f): 11:49am On Mar 27, 2022 |
PressMyButton: Our economy was faring better under Kemi Adeosun than it was left behind by Okonjo Iweala. Okonjo was borrowing to pay salaries and it was just a matter of time before we went into recession. The negative indices, the plundering of our reserves and dollarization of the economy during the 2015 caimpaign of PDP was unprecedentedly shocking. The aftermath had grave consequences on the economy so much so about 32 states of the federation could no longer pay their workers salaries. Okonjo made it very clearly that we should brace up for tougher times ahead. Adeosun would later come in and weather the storm, brought us out of recession in less than a year, created a template that enabled all states applied and had access to funds for payment of salaries. The country at the time we earned the lowest fx ever from crude oil yet she Never borrowed a dime to pay federal workers. Corruption was at the lowest ebb and no one had unfettered access to the treasury. Also, transparency was top notch such that there was monthly publication on who gets what. Okonjo for all the hype, did a bit of disservice to the country, her reputation being a former MD World bank was really her saving grace. Do you know she was paid in dollars all through her appointment?.. Do you even know that OBJ had to demote her to a junior portfolio having discovered some of her underhand corrupt dealings?. Do you know why Obj said Okonjo can't deliver independently without some supervision? Since her appointment as WTO head, can you mention one thing she has achieved so far? Hmmm! A wider perspective. NOI was good no doubt. Perhaps she could have been better considering her background. Kemi indeed worked hard to straighten up things. Her transparency and prudent management of funds made a difference. |

Properties › Re: New Houses I Saw In Villages In Imo State Today - Photos by delpee(f): 7:11pm On Mar 21, 2022 |
People have learnt over the years that many mansions built in villages deteriorate over time. The children they are built for have different values or live abroad. What Fred Ajudua said about acquisition of properties (if true) is a reference point. Sustainability is key. How will the houses be maintained upon the death of the owner? Even while alive, a house one stays in for a few weeks just 2ce a year isn't well utilised. That's where the problem lies. It's the reason why more people are building smaller though beautiful houses in some villages. Just enough space to live in when necessary and more compact for easy maintenance.
Many of the "brown roof" houses in the SW were mansions in the 50s and 60s. |
Romance › Re: My Mom Just Ruined My Relationship by delpee(f): 5:05pm On Mar 20, 2022 |
@OP A mother's place is different from the wife's in the life of a man. You can love them both on parallel lines. I'm a mother. I won't willfully break my son's relationship. All I can do is advice and then accept his choice having prayed. Our duty is to guide and pray for our children. We should not become their tormentors causing misery in their lives.
You need to ask your mum if she has something substantial against her which you should investigate and consider. That's provided it's not due to possessiveness or jealousy on your mum's part.
I think you should reconcile with the lady. If necessary, leave home for a while. In any case, you have to leave and build your own home in due season. |

@OP It depends on your choice of a spouse. A partner should motivate and inspire you. He or she should be supportive, reliable and trustworthy. You should be able to sit and plan together for the family's development and progress. A couple should work together in harmony to attain success. Rivalry and competition ends up in disaster and regrets. |

chigoziri2403: As a Christian, the Bible has everything you need to succeed People don't just read, especially Africans You're absolutely right on this. Most people never bother to read and understand the Bible. It's the reason why fake Pastors thrive. They interprete the Bible to suit their evil purposes and end up misleading and losing the faithful. The Bible says we should seek knowledge and understanding. We should pray for wisdom and the spirit of discernment so we're not misguided. The Holy Book does contain everything we need to know about God and how to navigate life for glorious living. |
