I don't think the agitators are talking about marginalisation. From what I've been reading, it's more about the security challenge.

greenlilly:
June 15, (THEWILL)- The Supreme Court of Nigeria has ruled that Investors in Nospetco Oil & Gas Ltd (Wonder Bank) whose N22.45 billion funds are being trapped in the Central Bank of Nigeria, for over 14 years, can go to the appropriate court for recovery of their money.

With the ruling, the apex court affirmed the decision of the Court of Appeal, which held that the money actually belonged to the investors.

The court also dismissed Nospetco Oil and Gas claims that the money should be paid into its coffers.

Delivering the judgement through zoom, Justice Amina Augie leading Justice Osegi, said the three other Justices of the apex court that formed the five-man panel agreed that since it is a collective investment scheme, the case can be prosecuted in a representative capacity and directed the investors through their lead counsel, Debo Adeleke, to go to the appropriate court to ventilate their grievances.

The Nospetco Oil and Gas had earlier appealed against the judgement of the Investment and Security Tribunal (IST), which ordered that the sum of N22.45 billion should be kept in the CBN for the Investors.

Good news for the investors. 14 years is a long time though! Hopefully the new case won't take another 10 years.

Enough of grown men using wealth to mess the lives of young girls.
That's why you marry them and they turn toxic thanks to the nasty faulty men and now women we have around.

Those quoting me
I gat a record today!

You missed a part where she said there was struggle and he even cut her with the same knife - there's a scar for it.
You missed the part where she said NO
You missed the part where she was on her own and He came after her again.
The ATM card - I wish she didn't touch that fund but he gave her the details and asked her to take whatever she wanted hence the withdrawals.
The dude is a mess!

So men or boys out there when you are about to shame yourself with a girl or a boy and he or she says NO - STOP AND WALK AWAY
Only her side of the story which may be true, false or inbetween. Dude is dead. We may never know the whole truth.

Events › Re: Has Anyone Here Hired Wedding Guests In Nigeria? by delpee(f): 11:23pm On Jun 23, 2021
Blixon:
Is it possible to hire guests for a wedding in Nigeria? I’m just curious. So please don’t attack me.
I have always dreamed of having a wedding that I would be proud of. AKA posh wedding. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of friends or know many big people and the few people I even know at all are not really posh looking (this is not an insult); what I mean is, you know, these broke guys kind of friends that you have to pay their transport back when they even manage to visit you.

So I have this question: is it possible to hire posh grooms men and a couple of posh guests (including white men and women and money sprayers to act as friends) to pose at a wedding in Nigeria?
I have read it is possible in the USA or other countries. Has anyone come across this in Nigeria?
Just wondering why you need to hire guests (at a cost) for a wedding especially now that many are more inclined to scale down on wedding expenses. There are more important things to commit your extra funds to. A ďeposit for mortgage, investment towards parenthood, business expansion etc.

It's just a day bro/sis. Many will chop and go. They'll complain about one thing or the other. Stay on your lane and grow at your pace. The many years to follow are much more important.

My Husband paid N580K for my Bride price and refused to help my family members
~ Nigerian Lady

A Nigerian Lady Identified as Elohor Okudu narrates how her husband has refused to help her own family members after paying almost N580k bride Price.

The story was shared by a twitter user identified as @SmartAtuadi, the lady is seeking professional advice as the issue bothers her.

She Wrote: “I got married 8months ago, my hubby earns 70k monthly while I am yet to get a job, during our wedding ceremony, hubby spent about 580k on the list given to him for the traditional wedding, I persuaded my parents to reduce the list but they said it is a must and a tradition.”

“He was able to raise the money as I wasnt working and I couldn’t help financially. After marriage I suggested that he should be sending something monthly to my parents as he does send to his parents too, but to my surprise the reply he gave me was that he didn’t owe my parents anything that they have collected all they are entitled to fromHelpNigerianally I was not angry about that until my younger brother wanted to get married and his bride family gave him list of things for the traditional wedding which amounted to 400k.”

“My dad then shared the expenses and told my husband to contribute 120k towards my brother’s wedding but to my surprise, my husband said no and told me that my family has collected all they wanted during our wedding and they shouldn’t come to him for any financial assistance, this got me angry and I told him that he is not responsible.”

“Ever since then we have been living like strangers in the house, he doesn’t talk to me, he has just been keeping to himself, and I have never seen him this way before not even in our 2 years of courting.

“Please our mummies and daddies, kindly advise me on what to do to save the situation, I am in between my husband and my family”.

Na wa! She has no job, her husband earns 70k per month and he's expected to cough out 120k after "donating" 580k just 8 months ago. Who knows if the poor guy is still paying back a loan raised for the wedding. This lady isn't considerate at all!

I believe that Sunday Igboho was talking about the miscreants pretending to be herders in the bush. Afterall he lives in Ibadan and hasn't gone to Sabo or anywhere else to attack anyone.

my friend who has just been offered admission to study mass com is kinda scared whether to accept it or rewrite another jamb considering the nigerian job market after graduation.

I already told him to further abroad after graduation..

Mass com graduates in the house, how has the experience been for you since graduation, is it advisable to study for bsc in Naija and further in a better country outside?
Those I know that studied Mass Comm. are doing well. Some of them are doing digital marketing...more like modern advertising. You can develop along different paths...journalism, public relations, corporate affairs, advertising etc.

Some universities have created specialisations within the field to make it easier for the students to focus on chosen lines of interest.

Is MURIC aware that the State Govts need permission from FG to buy sophisticated arms and ammunition? They can only buy hunters guns which are nothing compared to the ammo used by the bandits.
I'm not sure that they can even deploy high tech drones without permission. Those who know should please confirm.
