I wish he'll make a significant difference in the lives of the masses up North with his largesse. Otherwise its meaningless. More grease to his elbows anyway. |
himkers: This is from an insider source in Aso rock: The chibok girls have been in the custody of the FG since late last month (may). The presidency is intentionally keeping them (In a super-secret location) and intends relaeasing anytime Novemebr/December. With this intended action, the President wants to use their release to garner "happy votes" from the masses and those sympathetic to the Chibok's case during Next Year's Election.Really? And he allows the parents to live in misery not to mention those that lost hope and died? I would be pleasantly surprised....... But, I don't believe this! |
BTW is it compulsory for a Pastor to go to a remote area with his family especially in these BH days? Scary what could have happened to his family. Its disheartening but this isn't the first time. Methinks people should hearken to the clarion call of the Arewa youth on behalf of their people. A word is enough for the wise. RIP Dokun Taiwo. |
Hmmm! Scary indeed if true! |
Anyone who understands the principle 'givers never lack' is on to great things. Call it tithe, charity, widows mite or whatever. You will always find out it tallies with reaping as you sow. Many rich people understand this very well. However, sometimes what you get in return is priceless. Good health, saving grace in a hopeless situation, astounding favors etc. Pastors are accountable to God for whatever they do. Do your bit and leave the rest to Him. |
In summary, you are considering accepting a gift from a militant who is violent. You really do think you'll be able to walk away with no strings attached after that? You've done well by keeping off all this while. Forgive him and move on. Don't swallow the bait. Better guys will come your way. |
A story that touches the heart! Heartbreaking really. Parents should understand the difference between spiritual and medical/psychological problems. The guy needs help badly. Drug addiction seems to have taken its toll in his life. Maybe he should have been checked into a drug rehab centre once it became clear that he will face disciplinary action. Seems Redeemed Church has one especially for those taken off the streets - CADAM (hope I got it right). A guy who is high on drugs can not say prayer points. May God console and uphold his mum. Husband dead and son to be tried for murder! Double tragedy indeed. May evil never find space to thrive in our homes. Amen. |
Nice one! Maybe our lazy young ones will learn to read now. Its so embarrassing meeting graduates who can't write basic english. I keep wondering how they got into the university in the first place. Now i know! |
searay: Thx bro for the concernWorry not for it shall be well with your brother. The Lord will protect and guide him always. We thank him and his colleagues for their efforts. Aluta continua, Victoria Acerta! |
You are looking at things from a selfish point of view. When life throws you lemons, learn to make lemonade. Anyway you are still young, plenty of time for lessons that will probably change your views. BTW do you understand the meaning of 'love your neighbour asyourself'? Think deeply about that in relation to your sisters. Anyone can have an autistic child including you. Show them love not condemnation. |
Ope o! Thank you Lord!! Hope they will be relocated so BH wont pay another visit to their villages to take them back. I wonder if we have an established trauma centre there to handle this. We continue to pray for the Chibok girls and others in captivity. God please #BringBackOurGirls |

@simpleseyi Wise guy! Can't help laughing though . ![]() @Op Be calm and pray hard to weather the storm. Its not easy to get over an issue like this in these trying times viz BH et al. He's probably just scared. Reassure him of being liberal if you choose to remain a Muslim. If he perceives extremism in anyway, it will create trouble. Also let him bring up his child as a Christian. Remember the child has the power to make a choice later in life. So many successful inter religion marriages that you can use as examples to make him see reason. Best wishes for a HML. |
Start something/look for a job to generate some income and move on. Don't risk your life to please anyone. I don't see any love in your relationship based on your story. Your parents have their views but no one can live your life for you. |
A retroactive law that carries a death sentence is most unfair. Most people were not happy about it then even though they didnt support drug traficking. Some believe that its one of the things that led to a counter coup. |
Lord please help us get these girls back against all odds. Its disheartening thinking about them and their parents. Any true mother will be disturbed about this. Whatever it takes, our President should get them out of the jungle. Political campaign in the midst of so much instability and suffering seems inconsiderate. #BringBackOurGirls |
Heartless people (irrespective of tribe) doing crazy things in every state of this troubled nation. How did we get to this level - more like the animal kingdom. Lord have mercy! |
She already said she is not interested in politics. |
@OP I feel your pain cos i remember how happy my parents in law and my own parents were/are when they see their grandchildren. I pray for such joy and have never seen any reason to deny anyone the pleasure. She needs to know that shes sowing terrible seeds for herself. This has nothing to do with religion, the law of karma truly works. Please let her go for counselling before you give up on her. Parents with only one child are more vulnerable in this condition and any reasonable woman should understand. She should also know that your happiness does not revolve around her alone especially with this negative attitude. BTW what kind of relationship does she have with her parents? Remember you cant give what you dont have. May God guide your every step and lead you to the best solution. @apache77 Sorry but you cant be too sure your wife has "surrendered". Some women can be patiently vindictive. Anyway it depends on how the matter was resolved at the time and if she recognises the fact that she went too far. Anyhow, violence against women is not the best way to resolve a problem though it seems you felt really frustrated. Watch and pray. |
Nothing new really.Children had so much fun using the escalators in Kingsway and Leventis of old. Also the wonderful train ride to Santas grotto. Both stores were around the area of todays Heritage Mall and Shoprite in the 70s before SAP sapped the economy dry and all the big stores closed down. |
Thank God for religous freedom here (minus Boko Haram anyway). |
Clown! ![]() |
Sad story. He shouldnt have involved his children in this messy deal. Now he blames the devil for willful criminality. Lord have mercy! |
Nice one! Lets have it in the major languages so our people can know and fight for their rights. |
Many people would gladly support Jimi as was done before. Which political party is the question. |
slord: Repping F.G.C ODOGBOLU,any ex odogbolu studnt in d ousYes o! Too many years back sha. Happy to remember school days. Wish i can create time for the alumni meetings. |
Suppose the woman dies or has collected sperm from more than one source and the child born this way ends up marrying his fathers daughter by another woman? I just dont like the idea. Even sperm bank things makes me wonder. Too old school abi. Why not look for a man who will consent to being baby papa? |
Thats nice! Congrats!! |
Sorry o Isa, welcome back and hope you can stay away from BH. |
There are underground cables in some places in Nigeria especially in some housing estates in Abuja e.g. Sunnyvale. The challenge comes in the form of difficulty in tracing faults when there is unscheduled power outage. |
