Travel › Re: Most Populous Cities In Nigeria 2015 - T.I.N by delpee(f): 10:30pm On Mar 10, 2015
My little observation is that Ogbomoso indigenes are very enterprising and great travelers but build houses in their town and often go back home on retirement. Therefore the town is highly urbanised. Many of them grew up in Ghana or the North. The current Oba lived in Jos and owns properties there I was told. Many who were born and grew up in the North have returned home because of the insurgency.

Before LAUTECH there were the Baptist Mission/hospital and Federal Government College which brought in more people. Of course there are small scale businesses too. It's a big town anyaway.
Travel › Re: Most Livable Cities In Nigeria For Expatriates by delpee(f): 8:58pm On Mar 06, 2015
For those who truly know Ibadan, there's so much more than the small red roof area in the ancient part of town. It's such a large city with many beautiful, serene and well planned estates.

@op
One other thing- food is a lot cheaper in Ibadan..... Cost of living in general as a matter of fact.

There are two kinds of people in Nigeria today, those who want
CHANGE and those who want CONTINUITY. If you want
change you are safe, if you want continuity there are two things
involved, is either you reside in LAGOS or you are in PDP. If
you are in lagos you are safe, if you are in PDP there are two
things involved, is either you are Jonathan's family or you are
naturally corrupt. If you are Jonathan's family you are safe cox u r
going back to Otuoke but if you are naturally corrupt, there are two
things involved, is either you leave this country before March 28 or
you remain. If you leave this country you are save but if you
remain, there is ONLY one thing involved, YOU ROT IN JAIL!
grin grin Funny irrespective of party affiliation.

Business › Re: A Nairalander Tales Of Her Onions Business by delpee(f): 10:28pm On Feb 21, 2015
God bless you real good wonderful lady! You're a shining example of what a good wife and mother should be.Being supportive to your husband and making good use of opportunities. Some will not freely give information so freely as if they can do the business alone and make all the money. undecided

Some will try and learn from you just to write e-book and make money the lazy way but I know that God will keep granting you favours every step of the way and in whatever you lay your hands upon. It shall always be well with you and your family.

You are indeed a blessing to everyone and so shall you always reap bountifully by God's grace. Amen

Visit the Office of the Public Defender if you are in Lagos. Check for their office addresses online. They will advice and handle the case. It's basically a Legal Aid office set up by Lagos State to assist the poor/less privileged.

Only the immature and ignorant go out of their way to insult people for no reason other than expressing an opinion/statement of fact. No wonder many old NL members have gone AWOL. Great pity. angry
May you never know the pains of having a missing child anyway.

brownlord:
STFU, this further confirm that no girls was missing in chibok, nice script for the morons who don't have the brain to reason.

Culture › Re: Why Did Yoruba Culture Survive In Latin America And Not Igbo Or Others by delpee(f): 9:13pm On Feb 09, 2015
Those who are interested in seeking more knowledge should google "lukumi". Yorubas were also known as olukumi which in some dialects translates to " my friend". There are some villages in Delta/Aniocha (was told and read about it) where the people called olukumi/olukwumi still speak the ancient Yoruba language. Some people believe they moved there during the Yoruba wars. Some say Ugbodu is coined from Igbo Odua. Lol!

Related and well researched topics have been discussed on NL in the days of maturity and before the advent of tribal warriors. One learnt so much as a guest long before I registered. Sadly a lot has been lost to the NL crash. Those who are not interested in tribal superiority battles but want to learn genuinely should do a little research on google. So much to learn about slavery, slave riots, the effects and how deeply interwoven some tribes are. The Igala language for instance has some Yoruba and Igbo words.

So much to learn about our history and environment to enrich our lives. This reduces ignorance and promotes peace and mutual respect.

Still try deliverance for the spiritual aspect. You also need to work on yourself psychologically.
I pray that you meet a man who will love you and help you get over this (with your cooperation though.)

Try MFM for deliverance since you are in Lagos. It may take a while but with your personal commitment, all things are possible. Luke 1:37

Please bury it without letting anyone know where. There are spiritual issues involved. Some hospital attendants do business with it when consulted by spiritualists/native doctors. Learnt a lot from elders and testimonies in church.

Any woman who prays to live to see her grandchildren will not wish her mother in law dead. Wishing for her death is like invoking a curse on herself. The law of karma is real. Vengeance is the Lords'. He never fails.

Please get somewhere else to stay till you decide on what is best for you. Staying in an abusive and potentially violent relationship does no one any good.
