@GenBuhari Also read an article in Nigerian Tribune of 25th May, 2014 on Frozen poison:When consumers should be wary of frozen fish/meat. |
GenBuhari:Google Corpse embalming fluids used on chicken imported to Zimbabwe, Brazil chicken imports etc Brazilian chicken is available in Nigeria. Late Prof Dora Akunyili explained the implication of eating frozen chicken from foreign nations at length. I believed and started buying only locally produced fresh/frozen chicken. Stumbled on this article shortly after buying imported chicken recently and I was alarmed especially since I know a few people who have battled cancer lately. Still browsing for more information. Please do the same to help our society. BTW what's NAFDACs take in all this? I miss Aunty Dora. May she RIP. |
eejo:That's insensitive! Fight with what? |
GMO food, imported embalmed chicken (with formaldehyde used for corpses), and relabelled expired food items....Reasons why Cancer is now rampant here! We accept anything and even go to great length to justify anomalies. God save us from the wicked among us who want money by all means. |
There's cause for alarm! ![]() Some of us down south are still seeing this as a Northern problem. Its time to face reality cos it can escalate further to affect the whole country. These guys are ready for the long haul towards realising their ambition of running an Islamic Caliphate. It goes far beyond killing GEJs dream for 2015. Lord help us since the Army seems to have gone AWOL. |
When Late Aunty Dora said we should stop eating imported frozen chicken because of deadly preservatives, many assumed she was only trying to protect Nigerian poultry farmers. I obeyed nevertheless. However, recently i went to Ijora to buy fish and felt like doing my shopping in one place so I bought imported frozen chicken. I noted that it was imported from Brazil. Few days ago, I stumbled on an article analysing preservatives used on frozen chicken and I'm like . No wonder cancer is commonplace now.Back to Nigerian chicken - fresh or frozen ![]() Google Brazilian Chicken Embalmed Imports for quick info. |
How about the 43mill Range Rover that Fayemi claimed Fayose bought and passed the bill to the government? If true, he's a great pretender. |
That's the story I heard from older people years ago. I don't know for sure that its true. I wish that History is reintroduced as a compulsory subject for some years in our schools. The younger generation will benefit from it. |
Exercise, a good posture and self control with regards to eating habits solves the problem most of the time. |
Lord you are soooo good! God bless TY and family. |
If entirely true, this is scary. A woman who is bold enough to cheat and dare her husband has really gone too far. In my opinion, she doesn't value herself nor consider the impact on her kids. Word will surely go round and the kids will be taunted by friends/neighbours. No secrets in this land. Women who forgive men's folly and keep their homes are not stupid. If she wants the best for her kids, she will put them into consideration before taking rash and silly decisions. @Op You seem to really love your wife and home. Try and get to the root of this. Find out if she's just saying this to hurt your feelings or she has 'fallen in love' hence her boldness. Give her the option of divorce so she can have more time for her new lover. Its up to her to decide what is best for her even if her decision hurts your feelings. You have to be strong in all this cos you could be risking your life by being sentimental. I pray this ends well for you and your family. |
Sometimes I wonder knowing how enthusiastic we were to see a free SA. So much support for ANC and Mandela, scholarships in our Fed Govt Colleges and Universities for many SA students who were also camped and fed free during summer vacations! I remember Themba et al and wonder if they are the same ones now turning their backs on Naija and embarrassing us at every opportunity. SA has clearly forgotten our sacrifices in that era and after independence, the open door policy we gave them to grow their businesses (which they sometimes use to oppress us) We were driven with great passion by our leaders to fight apartheid in every way. Thinking back now, could funding for ANC have been channelled through legitimate routes given the rules guiding apartheid then? Of course I don't support illegality, corrupt practices and criminal tendencies. We do deserve some respect and there are better ways of dealing with us in our current situation without compromising on their legitimate processes and humiliating us. We will be delivered from BH same way we conquered Ebola against all odds. God loves Nigeria! |
emekadibos:More likely reason. May God rest his soul and comfort his family. |
How do you get 300k from an ATM on a public holiday? Callous doctor indeed. Very sad story. May her soul RIP. |
May God bless her in full measure for touching the lives of others in a selfless way. Luke 6:38 |
May they all go and come back safely. God is our strength. BH shall be disgraced a and conquered to Gods glory. |
This doesnt sound true but then..... Religion is the opium of the masses where there's little education. Poverty and ignorance are the root of fanaticism and extreme ideas. Why not query your elders first and try to maximise the available opportunities for development in your environment? I know for instance that education is virtually free up North for those who are interested and quota system affords you an opportunity to derive benefits far better than is possible for southerners. If there is lack of progress, its wise to blame your people first before the FG. Its also wise to examine the processes in place and actively but peacefully carry out reviews and the necessary reorientation of the people. The greatest problem seems to be the hard line stance and mixture of culture with religion. Some people fought great battles for progress (still at it) in the South. Get enlightened, dont fight the wrong battles, be progressive not retrogressive. The Civilian JTF seems to stand for a better way of doing things. I pray they get adequate support and good education for refined processes and a better future. I pray also that the politicians provide an enabling environment for progress and peace in your society henceforth. |
ISI is an International school run by UI just like ISL in Unilag. The salary scale is likely to be different from the regular public school teacher's scale. Best of luck. |
silvoice: pls i hav savings and current a/c in gtb. Current is the default a/c, can i transfer from my savings a/c to my default a/c. If so how? Cos i only transfer from my default a/c to others tru ibanking. You can transfer freely by clicking on Own Account Transfer. Its user friendly. |
Very sad indeed! ![]() |
holyboss: ao dos America University Of Nigeria sound like a Sec?AUN Academy just as you have International School, Unilag. Its a secondary school owned by the university. A university can't have "Academy" attached to its name. That's for secondary/lower schools. |
Somehow, some day the thread will be revived. |
@MizzD Long time! Please find time to upload those beautiful pictures again. Bless you jare. @sloothe Thanks in advance. We are waiting. This time let's ignore idle people whose only mission is to derail and irritate. I really don't believe in wasting too much time replying small minds. It only drags one to the same level. The focus I think, is to enlighten by showcasing what we have and possibly highlight areas requiring improvement for the benefit of our people. |
@op I can testify to all you said. I first got to know her in secondary school where she stood out as an outstanding student. Much later in life she was our family doctor for years. I truly appreciate her professional way of doing things but in a compassionate way. These last few days I've been reminiscing on her medical advice on various occasions and the positive results. She was always ready to call in other professionals when necessary. I just feel so heartbroken! Ameyo, wonderful lady, rest in perfect peace. |
When darkness veils His lovely face I rest on His unchanging grace In every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the veil. It is well in Jesus name! |
Wish you the very best. |
This Ameyo is also an ajebutter. Her dad was Unilag VC and she's certainly no doro-pako. This is irrelevant anyway when we are talking about someone's life. Pako or butter, my sincere wish is for the survival of all the Ebola patients. As Yoruba's will say, ' arun ti ko gbo Ogun, Olorun ma fi se wa.' Translation - May we not be afflicted with an illness without a cure. Amen. @kanwuliajara Please just pray. You will never experience extreme trauma and you will live to reap the fruits of your labour by Gods grace. She did her best in the circumstances to prevent the spread of the disease by restricting the patient and promptly informing the authorities. |
Same school song! QSI is beside and was a sister school to Govt College, Ibadan. There's also Queens School, Enugu and one in Ilorin all modelled after QC. Ameyo's other name is Omolaraeni (hope I got the spelling right.) |
There's Queens School, Ibadan formerly Queens School, Ede which produced the likes of Chief Mrs Nike Akande, Mrs Maiden Ibru, Mrs Bimpe Balogun etc. It was fashioned after QC with same color but different styles of uniform. Actually reunions for QSI in Lagos are sometimes held at QC. babyosisi: I read that she is the granddaughter of Herbert macaulayYes, she should be about that. She's a pretty lady though. This must be a picture taken on a bad day. Haven't seen her lately though. |
Please keep praying. May God hear our prayers and deliver us from this dreadful disease. Amen. |
Was also confused yesterday till I discovered that its Dr Ada that was discharged not Dr Adadevoh. God can do all things. We keep praying for this wonderful lady. |
Ameyo and her younger sister were both at Queens Ibadan for O'levels. Don't know if she went to Queens Yaba for A'Levels though. She had distinctions in all subjects then. No doubts cos I truly know her. She is Late Professor Adadevohs daughter. She was my doctor for many years at First Consultants and so i am quite familiar with the hospital processes there. That is why I got worried even before I could confirm that she was involved in Sawyers treatment. Please keep praying for this humble, compassionate and diligent lady. She deserves to live. |
