It will. All tribes have their share of criminals who must be exposed and dealt with in accordance with the law.

How will the "humans" on every street be monitored?

The problem is that you can't win a case without evidence. Plenty of time to deck him after getting valid evidence.
Politics › Re: Ex-Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma Arrives In Nigeria by delpee(f): 5:47pm On Jan 20, 2024
Kenochi:
The Biggest Mistake made by our leaders was the removal of History in our syllabus. It seems there is a present crop of Nigerians who weren't taught or refuse to understand the powers possessed by Nigeria in West Africa and Africa in General.
When Liberia,Sierra Leone and even South Africa were undergoing tribulations and apartheid regimes,Nigeria stood up to be counted and acted as a rallying point for Africans
Nigerians invested a lot of money and human lifes for peace to be restored in countries like Liberia and Sierra Leone.I pray that the Nigerian military will open up their archives to allow groups like our Nollywood Industry tell their stories of sacrifice, pain and victories which they recorded during this turbulent period in West Africa
Coming to the topic at Hand,Nigeria is gradually becoming a beacon of democracy in West Africa and let me assure Nigerians that the whole world is watching and taking notes. All this diplomatic favours Nigeria is dishing out to countries in West Africa,a day will come for Nigeria to cash in these favours.
I salute Asiwaju for quickly understanding this diplomatic game, projecting Nigeria as a bastion of Democracy in Africa and putting an halt to any military take over in West Africa.
Let me end by welcoming the Sierra Leone ex president and urging him to understand that he will be sent back if he tries to meddle in overthrowing the government back home
You're right. That's why I'm sad anytime I see videos of SA peeps tormenting our people. Some of us may have criminal tendencies but it's certainly not a majority.

All through my growing up years, we were always in tune with their fight for freedom. Nigeria nationalised British companies here because of that...OBJ military era. FG gave scholarships to their children in our Federal Colleges and Universities. Our musicians sang freedom songs. We were so proud of our role.

As for ECOWAS, our soldiers fought to keep the peace in Liberia and Sierra Leone. We were the major sponsors of ECOMOG and helped to restore democracy in those nations. Sergeant Doe of Liberia and Charles Taylor were well handled diplomatically by our government. Whatever we have to say against our military, I appreciate their efforts in earning us due respect.

It's a wrong move by the hospital. The hospital should've involved the services of the State's Social Welfare Department. Taking her to the husband's shop is indirectly a death sentence. We need to revive our social welfare services instead of sharing money as a form of humanitarian service.
Exactly! The State Govt. needs to strengthen the Social Welfare services department to take care of situations like this.

Yoruba people are found of rejecting their own in times of serious sickness where money is involved. I have witnessed this type of thing first hand in my area. The wife was sick, the husband runaway and the family of the woman abandon her to her faith. At around 8pm, we were shocked to see an almost dead being, the wife dropped by agada infront of their compound with her 6month baby. She was so lean and completely finished to death. The funny thing was that the husband have not been seen for like 2months. At that night, we were looking for her family member and found her family who also live in Lagos. They intentionally abandon her to die. The most annoying part of that is that her children of 3 are also with her. Such a beautiful woman died just like that.

When we said vote for a good leader, they will say tribalism is their source of living. And when trouble comes, everybody run away. Tribalism without love is useless I keep saying that. If one Igbo person is down, the entire family will also be down. In Ignoland marriage is not just between the man and the wife but between the entire family. Iron sharpeneth iron. Help render to one another. He that has made it in Igboland carry his family along. We don’t do tribalism by useless emotions and hate but by practical action.
You generalise about a whole tribe because of one incident. It's obvious that you know nothing about the culture of the people. It's like someone saying all Igbos don't treat widows well. Certainly not true though there's evidence for such actions. There will always be exceptions to every rule.

Politics › Re: Indians Drives Nigerians Out Of African Food Stuff Business In Canada: Video by delpee(f): 8:31pm On Jan 19, 2024
VAPatrick:
That's a fact. African stores owned by Nigerians in Canada are rip-offs. They sell things at more than 10 times the original price. For instance, one small tuber of yam is sold for about CAD15, that's like N15,000 at today's exchange rate. Is that not ridiculous?
Hmmm! Probably due to their operational costs. Importing from Nigeria for instance can be very expensive.

I think they need better funding which is what Asians are able to do for themselves.

StaffofOrayan:
I have noticed that wealthy Africans hardly prepare their children to inherit their businesses! They proudly tell you how their children are working for some big multinational, and then they sell their companies and will paper money to their children, or the company crumbles since the children were raised to be employees, hence there are few family run businesses in Africa

@chigator2 makes a good point
Some do. Coscharis, FCMB, Honeywell, OBJ farms and others already have their children running some of their businesses.

This one's mother has brainwashed him to drop or hate his Yoruba root ! Anyway,we don't have any problem with Igbo learning centre for kids but why not take it to Igbo land where your mother hails from, why Lagos ?
If you listen to all he's been saying, he would have loved to be able to identify with both cultures. His parents egos didn't make that happen. He certainly loves both parents. It's unfortunate that his dad is dead. He would have had a balanced outing if he was alive. Still, he's done well by identifying as a Nigerian. He can build the learning centre anywhere.

RIGHT THING TO DO. AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU'LL BE REGARDED JUST AS GBADEBO RHODES.
The Adelekes are loved in Osun because their Igbo mum wisely brought them up to appreciate both cultures. They speak both Yoruba and Igbo and mostly have mixed marriages.

Gbadebo's problem is that he appears not to be interested in his father's language and culture. His sister who is in charge of the Domestic Violence centre is better appreciated.
Politics › Re: Northern Elders Reject Relocation Of CBN ‘Key Departments’ To Lagos by delpee(f): 4:30pm On Jan 19, 2024
People should read what Kingsley Moghalu said about justification for the movement. Also the reasons as stated by the bank. He was a Deputy Governor of CBN.

It's not wise and prudent to have people who work mostly in Lagos stay in Abuja. That way, they'll be paid heavy allowances to travel frequently from their base. Why not stay where the job is?

I have just received info that the explosion was as a result of the govt or those that they engaged trying to blast some rocks, to create access, to the proposed Baywood Estate.

The quantity of charge used may just have been far in excess of what was required.
Agodi Gardens where you have Baywood is not close to Awolowo in Bodija where the said explosion happened.

If Tinubu is able to pull this country from disaster, he would be the greatest president of all times but if not, he would be just another wasted opportunity.
In 2023, we needed to vote for a very frugal leader. We needed someone that would reduce our spending. But clearly, we got another spending machine.
I remember Kemi Adeosun telling us that the borrowing and spending was going to save the economy. It's clear that she never knew what she was talking about.
Kemi was probably talking about borrowing and spending in terms of critical infrastructure. She didn't reckon with the grand looting that takes place once the loans are available.
