Not only Pastors. Also Alfas and Imams. I've heard some stories from that side too. I remember the story of a friends niece who absconded with her Quranic teacher at 16! It was claimed that she was hypnotised though. She had been dropped at the Campus by her parents only for them to find out that she was missing from school a month later. It was in the 90s so there was no mobile phone. Alfa was praying for the family while their daughter was with him. Anyway, security agencies stepped into the matter and she was found months later. The Oriyomi Hamzat channel shows that human beings are who they primarily are irrespective of faith. Religion often provides a cover for criminally minded people to gain the trust of the innocent and naive. |

GeneralOjukwu:

Kano that they divorce anyhow.
Seen a woman married 9 times. Seen a man married 30 times.
That's not the record. There are worse out there.
Seen 2 fairly young guys with 20 + children each. Truly divorce and remarriage is so common there. He was probably depressed based on other issues too. |

Nice idea if they will indeed have a public sale of shares and give priority to small holding buyers like it was done in the past. Also the communities where the minerals are extracted from should benefit largely from their resources. At the end of the day, they bear the brunt of damage done. Apart from the oil sector which has oil spills which affect the people terribly, the Zamfara lead disaster is an example of what happens in the solid minerals sector. |

obi58: Like I always say.. one size cap doesn't fit all. Soundproofing worship centres to curb noise pollution is not a bad idea but forcing them to relocate outside residential areas is taking it too far. The sound proofing rule and specified noise levels has always been there. People don't comply. Some have been closed severally, yet the situation remains the same once reopened. It's a terrible experience having a sleepless night after the day's gruelling stress. |

flokii: I wonder how young girls and women go about their hygiene in areas like this.. where do they dispose their 'you know what' and other sanitary items. Lagos Government needs to model a place and relocate the residents of Makoko. They don't want to relocate. LASG has tried in the past. So unhealthy! I often wonder about what the fishes around there consume. Still, many of us buy from their market. |

When we learn to depend more on our own goods and import less while exporting more, Nigeria will rise and shine.
When we conquer the bandits who are rendering our farms desolate, agriculture will thrive and make a difference in our balance of payments.
There are solutions to our problem. It's solely up to us. |

Amaxing! Just phone matter. This younger generation is something else! Most of what I get to read about their doings these days are so outrageous. @OP Leaving your home because of a side chick is a wrong move. It's answered prayers for her! Unfortunately, you left your children behind so there was nothing for hubby to worry about. Just a little brainwashing on how their mum "abandoned" them and heavy pretence as a dutiful "aunty" by the side chick will turn the tables against you. It's a case of eni ta fe sun ni ina, to fi epo para. (You provided the fuel for him to fire you).
You could have thought through your plan knowing that he's not willing to change. If you're still interested in the relationship, see if the two families can resolve the issues for an amicable settlement especially as it affects the children. Hopefully, he won't ask for divorce. But consider if you can live with a serial cheater for life and stay happy? Be careful with your health too. |

Mordecai:

Normally, this deal can be consummated through investment banks. Infact, firms like FMDQ can handle these kind of deals.
But this SPV was incorporated in the Bahamas for one reason, to hide the investors in the SPV.
Why would these investors want to be hidden? Because they are Nigerians.
It is thus clear that this is an attempt by BAT to get many of his thieving colleagues to bring out the dollars hidden in their vaults and in overseas accounts and put it back into the economy.
Frankly, I think it's a great idea. However, the fundamentals in governance still haven't been fixed. These same thieves are still stealing unabashedly, and can still steal, go to the forex market (which should be trying to recover) and buy up any available forex at any rate (it's stolen money, rates don't matter to them) thereby crowding out thise that really need the forex.
Until those fundamentals are fixed, the market would have no chance of recovering.
Which is why I don't believe in BAT. He is all about the politics, and when the choice comes down to good politics or good governance, he always goes for politics. Patriotism is just a buzzword for them. They don't have an iota of it. This perspective throws more light into the deal. I found it difficult to understand why we had to use a faceless SPV when there are financial institutions that can handle it. This perspective throws more light into the deal. It may not be as bad as one thought. However, we need to be updated with the progress so we don't lose track and end up losing hard earned funds to smooth operators. The forex issue is a major problem no doubt. Seems our tormentors are so focused on bringing this nation down. God will uphold us in every way. |

Te property has already been forfeited by the original owner - now what is happening is that the tenant is simply saying okay, you want to sell this house that my landlord forfeited - let me buy it since I live here already. Simple. Is it compulsory to sell to him? It depends on the terms of sale. |

Namaster: Dude woke up early to shove his way through the depressing Lagos traffic to hustle for money.
Girl took her time lounging and having a good night rest. She's a stay-at-home Mom that has no job other than taking the kids to school.
But somehow, the girl wakes up to a note praising her and Naira notes to pamper herself while the dude woke up to Lagos conductors raining insults on his generation.
ALSO, the dude is acting like he doesn't deserve her. He shouldn't be surprised when he finds her sucking the black dick of his jobless neighbour. Where in that post did you see an indication that the lady is a housewife? Her office could be closer to the house for instance. Not every lady is focused solely on what a man can provide. A good wife and mother goes by the words of Proverbs 31: 10-31. What I see is a caring and contented lady and a considerate and loving man. They'll go far. God bless them both. |

I don't believe that the Head Office can be moved the way it's being presented to confuse us. |
