1TrippleCee:But it's not healthy....the fumes. |
zebszebs:Knowing his stance during Yaraduas health issue, I believe he would have gladly resigned if he was in full control of himself. Unfortunately, it seems some people capitalised on his situation to rule Ondo by proxy...same as was done with Yaradua. There are rumours of forged signatures on documents purportedly signed by him. If true, it means he was really incapacitated and unable to take decisions or act on his own. Very sad indeed. |
Their policies have never favored us starting from SAP. How can our economy improve when we allow in all kinds of things thereby killing our industries? There has to be some form of control. |
May his soul rest in peace. Gambling isn't a good thing but it gets worse when people depend solely on it as a means to prosperity. In most cases those who win are unable to sustain the wealth. Nothing good comes easy. Oun ti a ko ba sise fun kii tojo, oun ti a ba fi ara sise fun niipe lowo eni. So sad for his mum. May God console her. Mothers need to be more careful about piling pressure on their kids to get married or be more successful. Sometimes it's too mentally stressful for our younger generation especially in these hard times. |
Harrynight:That's for God to decide. Sadly it seems those around him are adding to his problems by insisting that he remains the governor. He may not be aware of most of what is happening around him. Judging by what he stood for during the Yaradua saga, I believe he'll prefer to leave if he's mentally capable of reasoning on his own at this point in time. May God's grace abide with him. May he uphold and strengthen him. |
Congratulations to our football queen. |
This is so wrong if true. ![]() |
He has a good heart but there are better ways to lift the poor.... |
I remember reading Igbo Olodumare in school. Great writer. May his soul continue to rest in peace. |
Sibbb:No but I have some training and experience on housing development. |
@OP I feel sad for your friend. She's really had a rough life along with her mum and siblings. I pray that she comes across a man who will show her true love to soften her heart and live a more balanced life especially for the sake of her kid. Mum and the other kids seem to have moved on but they all need to avoid being too bitter and to heal properly. Health is wealth. As for their dad, he still has a family he lives with. Good luck to him. As he laid his bed, so shall he lay on it. Hopefully, his other children love and care for him. |
This is absolute nonsense. Anyone could have made the mistake. Besides, bombing is team work starting from informants. The pilot couldn't have deliberately killed so many people without a reason which has turned out to be a miscalculation. It happened under Buhari too. The important thing is to understand the root cause of the errors and to find solutions to it. Peaceful rest to the victims. May God comfort and care for the survivors and their families. |
Rootprof:Ha! Is this true? I read that they're considering an increase for pensioners next year in line with the increase in minimum wage and upgrade of civil servant's salaries. |
Akeredolu was at the forefront of the battle to get Yaradua to resign. It's surprising that he's now doing the same thing he fought against. Perhaps he's not really of sound mind and he's being held hostage by some people for political reasons. His wife and family need to intervene so he can heal properly and enjoy the rest of his life in peace. He should resign. God will surely take charge of subsequent events in the State. |
ThatFairGuy1:Haba! CAN condemned it. No sane person will rejoice over the disastrous event. It's so disheartening even if we accept it as a mistake. It's not the first time but hopefully this will be the last of such. NAF and NA need to work on better strategies in terms of locating and eliminating bandits. May Allah grant them aljannah firdaus. |
Heartbreaking! |
A great labour leader and fighter for the oppressed. I will always cherish the memories of his courage and selflessness during the struggle for democracy in the early 90s in Nigeria. May his beautiful soul rest in perfect peace. |
Cantonese:True. Also, the views of the National Theatre, Iganmu and Ijora areas from the Blue Line aren't good at all. |
@OP For balanced development, let their mother care for them at this tender age. It's also in accordance with the law. Even if you both choose to remain separated, the law recognises the mother as the best carer for children under 7 years (lawyers can confirm). If you can afford to rent an apartment for your mum because of the kids, why didn't you consider doing the same for their mum so she can care for them? The kids will grow up to learn about their history. Don't let them blame/hate you for the lost years of relationship with their mother. You clearly love your mum which is good. Give them an opportunity to develop a relationship with theirs. If she goes to the juvenile court, she's bound to win. Children need to grow up with their mum as long as she's sane and physically fit. Of course, you'll be granted access to your kids. I hope she can afford to support you financially though. Without that, you may have to pay substantially for child support. |
All these tales of short lived Benin empire era in Lagos leads nowhere. The Oba of Lagos controls no land outside the Island. Ikoyi is for the Onikoyi, Victoria Island outside the federal territory is for the Oniru etc Some families in Eko trace their origin to Benin. The Bajulaiyes for instance may be related to the Bazuayes of Benin. However, they're mostly fully assimilated now so what's the point of the argument? The larger part of Lagos belongs to the old Western Region. |
justuschi50:Depends on the type and where you buy from. You can still get old layers for between 4 -5k in Lagos. |
We're wasting scarce funds.... If FG sponsored the large entourage as posted on X (twitter), something is really wrong somewhere. |
They should do it quickly and allow his soul to rest in peace. |
Been to Reddington, Eva Care, Duchess and some others in Lagos? Abuja has some too. |
I wonder why a sane person will confidently build on a drainage channel or even without a building approval. We all know that water will always find it's way leading to heavy flooding in other areas along the route. Extremely selfish and unconscionable people! |
StPete:It seems the funds were raised by NGOs. |
lexy2014:Lagos has Ikoyi, Alausa (Ikeja), Festac and one in Alimoso LG. With Igbogbo, that's 5. |
A nation whose politicians are seemingly more highly valued and much better paid than it's professionals will always experience brain drain. |
Ifemelu80:Avoid getting involved in any way no matter what. No need for chatting continously. What you had together is history. Don't unwittingly rekindle it. It will only end in regrets. |
Former herbalist became a "Pastor" to serve as a cover for his nefarious activities. His background is a red flag for the discerning mind. Sadly, the lady lost her life. I pray others like him get caught before they can do any serious harm to innocent people. May justice be duly served soonest. |
Congratulations! Happy married life. |
