kayzoh:What capacity and quantities are you looking at? Also, are you looking for a full set-up (including the charge controllers, cells, etc) or just the panels? We have some exclusive partnership with some Solar companies in the US and you may feel free to contact us via sales@jonitivecomputers.com |
@dogice, Yes, you;d have to move to F'tton at some point to complete your Engineering degree but my point is both F'tton and SJ are "blah-ish" cities. F'tton is obviously better but why stay there when you can move somewhere better? |
Quite frankly, Customer service in Nigeria is non-existent. We have learnt to manage everything from our leaders to businesses where we pay our hard earned money. We need to start demanding better! |
Fidelo:Fidelo, Saska-wetin? Well, I hope you are well adjusted. If this is your first winter, then you really need to prepare. Well, the weather in Sask, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Northern Ontario are usually the extremes; Saint John isnt as bad, weatherwise compared to Sask but the manufacturing firms out there pollutes the city; also, there's really nothing going on in that city. I shuttle between Toronto and Halifax (Nova Scotia) on a regular basis.@Dogice, the best advice I give folks is get something pretty thick you can use when you arrive but make sure your "arrival" budget includes the purchase of thermal wears, blankets, boots, etc. You should be looking at minimum $500 (if you are cheap) to spend on these items. P.S. One thing some of you should note is that if you are currently in a province where you are uncomfortable, it's very easy to switch to other provinces. Just apply to a school of your choice as a transfer student and if admitted, your courses will be transferred (This means you have to bring OFFICIAL copies of your transcripts); so you will not have to start from scratch and more importantly, you do not have to re-apply for a new study permit. Your study permit allows you to study in any institution in Canada. This advice is more suited for students in the Undergraduate programs which usually take 4yrs. Also, please note that you have to do your homework to know what minimum grade you need for your course to be transferred. I think it used to be B or better but I'm not a student; just going by memory. If I was Dogice, I'd move to Saint John for the Semester in January and immediately I get there, apply to a different school, perhaps Dalhousie (in Halifax) or some other other province and make the move in the Summer if/when I get the admission. |
@Fidelo, whereabouts are you? @Dogice, Saint John is 1 hr away from F'tton and 4hrs away from Halifax. It's a "dry" town sha; and like Fidelo posted, you'd likely be coming in the middle of winter. You should come very well prepared; no joke. I'm guessing you have your residence sorted out already? Let me know when you are ready and I'd give you a few contacts. |
500k seriously? 1 month Visa?!! Does dat include Hotel & Airfare? Lmfao, i guess i ll open up a travel agency, lol
No kidding, If you have N500k in your account in Nigeria, what are you going to Austria for? |
@Dogice, congrats. You seem to know what you want. I've always said most answers/experience about Canadian immigration is on this thread, especially with regards to the Canadian Study Visa. Any serious person who goes thru this thread patiently will be able to put together a package that will pass the "sniff test" instead alot of people are interested in asking dumb questions repeatedly. Anyway, I'm guessing you'd be going to Fredericton, NB? What program? Let me know when you plan travelling; I'd give you a few contacts if you want. |
Chuckdee:Dell XPS is now obsolete. Dell Studio XPS is the closest match. What specs are you looking at? Cos there are a number of them out there. 13" or 15"? |
What quantity are you looking at? I can get you ANY kind of paper (Quality) from Printing to Design, Cards, etc. Email me sales@jonitivecomputers.com with details. |
Chiaka:It would be great; it seems workable, although lots of work has been/is being put into it. BTW, seems the OP does not know what he is talking about. |
Madlady, dont you have a reserve price for your item? It shouldnt matter what people bid; if your reserve price isnt met, no biggie ![]() |
Email sales@jonitivecomputers.com We ship laptops and desktops into Nigeria from the US and CANADA on a regular basis for our corporate clients. Email with your specs, quantity and contact info and we'd get back to you promptly. Our prices are the best in the market. . .GUARANTEED! |
AjoseBiz:Not trying to knock your hustle, but what kind of Research and Dev are you talking about? Batteries for N7000? What kind, tigerhead? ?Solar panels for N7500? Are you talking about systems that will light up a couple of LEDs for a few hrs? It's good to dream but there's also what they call "REALITY". I supply batteries and solar panels to some retailers in Nigeria and despite my direct hookups to the manufacturers, those prices are unimaginable. At the moment, my firm is developing a quality (min) 2KVA solar/battery system that can sell in the Nigerian market for less than N100k; It's still in the works but there's quite abit involved to keep our costs down. My point is you need to do some more work from your end instead of throwing numbers around. If you need any info about alternative energy from dams, to solar to wind, to inverters, give me a shout but let me assure you, for now, these are capital intensive projects. Trust me, firms manufacturing solar panels, wind turbines, etc are continiously researching methods to make the implementation of renewable energy feasible. Nigeria is blessed with lots of dams and natural gas that will light up the country 30hrs a day but we are not serious yet. |
ekeroyal:You can send an email sales@jonitivecomputers.com ; We usually have off-leased laptops and desktops for sale at competitive prices. Email with your number so that someone gets in touch with you. Thanks. |
Ekeroyal, unless you plan to travel to China, I'd advice you to deal with the N.American market. You'd get a better value for your buck. What kind of goods are you interested? I see you are on tradekey. |
Tweetie:Hi Tweetie: We supply medical diagnostic equipment to corporate bodies in Nigeria from US and Canada. What kind of ultrasound equipment are you looking for? Quantity? Refurb/New? Time frame? Drop your email; I'd get to you. |
Ecobank, GTB |
jamie55:Dunno a thing about maple. I only got to know about them thru someone who works in the CDHC in Lagos. |
I'm quite curious how some of you folks come up with these numbers; What kind of market analysis did you carry out, OP? Abi you just dreamt up those numbers? |
luizworld:If you are having doubts with your application, go thru Maple. It's an agency with some affiliation with the CDHC. |
Konadub:Travelling around most parts of Africa is not exactly same as travelling around Europe or America. The "terrains" are different; and if you want the best out of your trip, take someone that is familiar with the "terrain". |
Konadub, if you can convince your Nigerian/African friend to go with you, you'd be better off touring those regions with him/her. Just my 2 cents! |
luizworld:You are better off going to drop it off so that they give you a case number. However, if you cannot drop it off, you can send it via courier; make sure the courier company you use would require someone to sign for it at the CDHC when delivered. Goodluck. @Mevis: Just my 2 cents: This thread has helped quite a few people. You may feel free to contribute but you are not compelled to. If you would like to share your experience about your recent escapades, please do so on another thread. Let's try to keep this thread clean with valid pieces of information. |

U sure your agent isnt taking you to the cleaners? Did you airfreight or by sea? |
BlueDiva:Your assumption that our lawmakers are sane is very very wrong. A significant number of them will give those chaps at Uselu a good run! |
Welcome back Debosky. Wetin you bring come? Anyway, I was expecting your email the other time but I already got my answer. How your end? I understand Bellview is undergoing some operational challenges; the Euromediterranean is a chartered airliner; Egyptian/Italian alliance. I'm no fan of most African airlines for trans-atlantic flights cos my schedule is always tight and I really have no patience for come today, come tomorrow. A good percentage of our local flights in Nigeria do not fly on schedule (always late). I hope one day, we Nigerians/Africans will learn how to operate Airlines properly. For now, it seems like rocket science to us! Nice post, OP! |
Permanent Resident Applications are made thru the office in Accra. Go to: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/ghana/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng You can easily get a bank draft in USD. |
Intels are better, obviously. |
Bank PhB have lots of frauds working for them. |
