I'd probably have delayed a little. But here we are 😁 |
We dey here. Back when Buhari shit down the border in 2016, some APChums were of the opinion that it was the perfect plan to grow the economy. Is Tinubu not interested in growing the economy or...💀 |
Nigeria!!! A human who has been feeding fat off government treasury (and other nefarious activities) is being criticized for expending taxpayers' scarce resources on inconsiderate entourage. He is the same person whose unguided actions and utterances recently oversaw (and is overseeing) the hike in prices of various goods and services, and the accompanying inflation. And other sane citizens (or patriotic citizens if you like) deem it best to justify such extravagant behaviour at public expense with a video of a campaign rally in progress (this time, funded by individuals, not public purse). In fact, one of such citizens termed it '200' vehicles (how many did you count in the video yourself though?). We were here when they propagated the Buhari gospel. We were still here when they saw perfection in all he did for the second time. We were here when they denied Buhari and vested in him, all the sins of the party. We were here when they put in his place, the human we speak of today. We shall be here when they complete this cycle again. I hear some people are already regretting so early. God willing, we shall be here. 😁 |
FSBoperator:No. You're just making noise. I've seen trolls on Nairaland but this kind of screening on your posts in the link below is on another level. I don't think you'll ever make sense, to be honest. 😂 https://www.nairaland.com/fsboperator/posts/9 |
FSBoperator:In a nutshell, you hope FG don't grant the international shipping route to the South East. You're not saying anything new. The way you are running wild on this thread with your obstacles already announces your mission here. We know what you represent. ✌️ |
In their defence though, they're supporters who are not on the payroll of the former BMC turned AMC. The things is the government needs to cut cost; that's a given. However, a solid start would be beginning with cutting the humongous benefits they get, as already well-to-do individuals. In Peter Obi's voice, it makes no sense to be having this much in so few years, while average citizens who dedicate 35-years of their lives to civil service don't make that much. Not that we expect much from a person whose brain cells are possible halfway gone, and ideas are as old as time itself. The foundation is wrong so we can't even be talking about the execution. |
Christistruth00:Does that stop him from being a card-carrying member of the APC and a potential candidate in the 2023 Presidential elections for the APC? As I recall, PDP also had forms on sale in this elections and Emefiele was never under their umbrella at any point, pun intended. |
AuschwitzPrefec:Over 70 words in that comprehensive passage you pasted and you still didn't answer the crux of the matter. Who is 'you all'? |
AuschwitzPrefec:Who is 'you all'? Forgive my memory if I am wrong but isn't Emefiele a card carrying member of the APC, the party you support? Wasn't Emefiele a potential candidate that would have flown APC's flag at the Presidential elections if things had gone his way? If these were the case, isn't you all actually you all on your side? |
slawomir:I tell you, brother 💯 That bank won my respect. They really upped their game to meet up with the complexities of that period, even sending mails/messages if your transaction failed and your funds are held up to confirm they were on top of the situation. Those messages/mails helped smoothen the friction between myself and traders who would otherwise be aggressive that I wasn't willing to make payments. |
Well, we already know what Peter Obi's stance on that would be. He is a leader who has a very strong view against waste of public resources and sees convoys as a waste of personnel and funds that can be useful elsewhere. It is true that whatever the case, people must talk. However, common sense dictates that certain things are out of place especially in these times when stringent living conditions are imposed on the citizens. There had always been this lack of camaraderie between leaders and citizens which the citizens are tired of. Public bullish shows like these don't inspire confidence at all. |
This is disheartening. |
Corporate2020:Nah. Even as a very young adult then, I understood the importance of prioritizing common good over personal interests. I was in my home state then and I campaigned vigorously for people to understand subsidy for the scam it is. Petrol subsidy, like Education subsidy and the rest that are 'consumption centered' have to go. The only palliative to be given to cushion the effects are those that improve productivity and income generation e.g rail, alternative vocational tertiary institutions, e.t.c. Nigeria is bleeding financially and there must be measures to cut cost. However, any of them that still doesn't tackle the cost of governance as one of the foremost steps is a scam approach at best. What I would not accept though is these selfish leaders who sat firmly on it giving sanctimonious speeches when protested against common sense back then because they stole senselessly and rode on it to power. I'm not stupid to fall for those nonsense, no apologies to those who were and still are. |
seunmsg:The first step would be suspending the anonymity clause, then this caveat would have to go too. That's too much of a price to pay.

Stray bullet don touch some people.

That's twitter's business, not Nairaland. |
Did it suddenly become a scam because we remembered the people who fought against removing it in 2012. |
Obi's case is the weakest. Obi's case is watery. Obi's case is a walkover. Yet 90% of your last 100 comments is on Peter Obi. This is a case of telling yourself something over and over again because you desperately want to believe it. Even we that are OBIdients and active during the court case have moved on to our normal lives until our next court date. But look what we have here. |
First and foremost to keep on your mind is that you did not leave home for that shii. When I first joined the school I teach in, there was this Igbo fraternity, I dare call it, where Igbos who felt they were being underserved by the organisation unite to take a stand. Conversations were in the local language in offices and that was where I drew the first line. We must converse in Igbo sparingly whether learners are present or not because it is a school environment. Secondly, why would you bring your complaints to me consistently and me bring mine to you consistently when there is a more effective channel to go through without making issues everyone's business? So when complaints come in, I politely let them know the more effective channel to use instead of 'wasting words'. Also, I didn't subscribe to that 'Don't allow yourself be used' mantra as a way of reducing your input. From Day 1, I dug in, seizing every opportunity to hone my skills and learn something new. It was called a lot of things; first oversabi, then eye service, then work with no portfolio. I never countered any of them, but channeled the anger at their back-biting into doing more for my value in the organization. In front of them, I rose through the ranks quickly to become one of the V.Ps. of the school and presently, the right hand man of the school owner, a Yoruba man, I should add. What used to be perceived that it is only Yoruba Yoruba saw me in the midst of them all and going hard. And so has it been for a while now. Please note that I did not reference nepotism from the Yoruba end of the school because I am not in the habit of blaming others for my personal predicament. Rather, I work hard at it until I surpass the challenge. I would think my main weapon against the home and away nepotism was minding my f**king business 99% of the time. You must earn what you expect! |
My teenage favourites then were Samurai X, then Godzilla. I don't remember when Tweenies and Teletubbies came into the mix but it's alright, no pressure but everyday from Monday to Fridays, we were sure to meet these cartoons when were back home. 😂 Saturday Cadbury Breakfast show were really hard to come by as we were busy with chores chores chores 😶 |
The only reason I can think of a source not being included is because it is likely from Tinubu's media. He posted at 1 AM, hoping for it to gain traction before he will add the source. That way, it will not be dismissed as mere propaganda. I've been around long enough to know how these tribal warlords act. I'll wait for the OP to prove me wrong. Mods, take note. |
Lies! Only one who is not familiar with how the University system works that will be sold out on this lies. Was it not his school that forwarded his name to NYSC after clearance from all departments in the school? Departmental clearance, Faculty clearance,Exams and Records clearance, Student Affairs clearance, Security clearance, Bursary clearance and the list goes on and on. If he successfully scaled all of these, then he is a legitimate student and the most likely thing that was fake is the way he got employed 😴 |
Reflect7:He joined Twitter in 2018, by then he was already running as a Vice-presidential candidate. So sorry, your agenda refused to agend. |
His Excellency, Peter Gregory Obi, celebrates five Nigerians' who recorded excellent strides and won awards from SouthWest University in China. The Nigerians, whose names are Ifeoma Amuche, Chioma Chukwuemeka, Oraka Chiamaka, Akpata Johnson and Chinedu Wilson were given awards for their academic exploits at the University. Ifeoma Amuche is especially described as the best graduating student from the university in that cohort. A vote of thanks was presented in fluent Mandarin by Ifeoma Amuche on behalf of the recipients as well as other graduands, to a thunderous applause from the audience. In a recent tweet in which I congratulated Miss. Ifeoma Amuche, of South West University, China for her academic excellence and recognition, I inadvertently omitted the names of her four Nigerian schoolmates, who won the same award, and on whose behalf Miss Amuche spoke.https://twitter.com/PeterObi/status/1672994762784387072?t=qC3wfsG2fcXKRzfqqa1lRg&s=19

These are folktales that have been handed down across generations or adopted by mischief makers. Do you remember Sir Warrior's allusion to his personal feud with a mythical Mbaise person? He sang that an Mbaise man should be killed first if it comes down to a choice between him and a snake. Some people immortalised the song and use it as a beacon to fuelling their Mbaise bias. I've come across a number of people who looked surprised once they discover I'm an Mbaise person. They don't even think me Igbo in the first place, they think I'm more of Isoko or Urhobo or something. Some go on to ask questions on 'eating human meat', 'expensive bride prices' or make reference to Sir Warrior's music. Since I've come to understand those things as myths, I just dismiss them as weak assumptions. Like Nedu said up there, I actually believed the 99-1 scoreline between Nigeria and India for a long time until it stopped making sense to do so. |
KingOfPunters87:What is the game RAM Size? |
Ebubu7:Your answer is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZkcWOHxPY4 |
Shalommy:Hustling to be able pay their daughter's school fees in future, I guess. |
Tadeus:There is power and data at Yaba, the headquarters of the Nigerian firm I do remote jobs for. To comfortably get there in time for work and comfortably come back home costs me roughly #3000 per day before Subsidy removal. Factor in other expenses that must come in since you're not in your house. So yeah, I know what it costs for me to buy my own power and data for the time I need to be at work 😂 Right now, I'm scouring everywhere for the cheapest reliable green energy solution I can find because this fuel price no be anybody mate. |
As a Private School teacher, I make it a point to get a school or schools not so far from my residence. That makes taking a bike more of a luxury for me. However, the cost of biking to that place now has doubled, but luckily, I have the alternative of walking except when I feel stressed or when I'm running late. All in all, remote jobs are the way to go! |
