Just swapped to see the VAR decision on Villa disallowed goal. Coming back to this match. mehn. It's like the meditation part of a funeral service |
That was an awkward landing. Hope he is fine |
Why you gotta use Oluwole of all names though 😁😁 We know it's just a sample letter, but come on. You don't have to rub it in 😁😁 |
OP, off your mic. Off your mic. Before you drag another minister enter this matter now ![]() |
flokii:Again, as a patriotic Nigerian, and with recourse to the Nigerian Constitution which you placed above all things, which of these criteria stated in the constitution was not met by those you believed were rightfully disenfranchised. To be eligible to vote, he/she must be 1. A citizen of Nigeria; 2. Has attained the age of eighteen (18) years; 3. Ordinarily resident, work in, originate from the Local Government Area (LGA), Council, ward covered by the registration officers of the Commission for registration as a voter; 4. Free from any incapacity to vote under any law in Nigeria; 5. Present him/herself to the registration officer of the Commission for registration as a voter; and 6. Must not be subject to any incapacity to vote under any law in Nigeria. Keep in mind, that you are a patriotic Nigerian. |
flokii:Who is the 'they' that have this right and what role did they play to actualise this right that they have. I see you as being a patriotic Nigerian and not an emergency lover of Nigeria. So I'd like to remind you to choose your words carefully so they do not violate the Nigerian constitution. |
Well, I and like-minded people are keeping away from this one. The person championing the cause once solicited for funds for his kidnapped brother. Till today, he couldn't account for the funds not the brother. Until the relative openly denounce any ties to this fellow, men mount. Once bitten, twice shy.
|
OP, why can't you tell the owner exactly how you feel? Instead, you transferred the story to Nairalanders to bash him on your behalf. |
Sharpsharp00123:First off, 'we people' are not the one crying all over Nairaland since hate speech and bigotry was banned from Nairaland. It's a game right? Look up the recently murdered Najeeba, her family too and find out who lost there. Keep gaming away your future. One thing is, you lots are quite shallow. You always forget. The one who used a kidnap story to scam Nigerians is now back soliciting funds for another kidnapped person. Big mistake and I feel sorry for the family. When you're ready for the hard conversation, you'd find us seated at the table like we've always been.

In 2015, they spent 8 years after then on media attacking Buhari's opposition for stating the obvious. What's the end result? This is 2023/2024 and they've started again. It's not about stealing power. It's knowing what to do with it.

G00dharddick:Okay boss. |
ThierryJay:Yours is way simpler, I agree. I guess I did too much by also considering inflation. The naira had more value then, going for N125 to £65. I also made the error of computing with less than 2 million. |
Why do you need tribalistic nuances to criticise an inept public officer? These complaints are becoming sickening to be honest. What do you really want? It is assumed the major population here are adults. What is all this fuss over a simple 'You people should act your age' move? 🤷🏾♂️ |
Doing the right thing is aesthetically pleasing as everything falls into place by themselves. There was this bad road inside the streets of Ojo. That street is ALWAYS waterlogged. ALWAYS! This made the street look so bad and stinks to the high heavens. Although it serves as a vital link road, the government left that road unattended for the better part of 2 decades. Immediately work started on that road and the crevices for gutter was dug by the excavators on both sides, the water disappeared. The road is yet to be finished o (you know how government contracts drag), but the water that usually populate the road is nowhere to be seen again, except after a heavy downpour. This is akin to what happened here. |
mariahAngel:1985. Minimum wage was £65. A worker earning minimum wage and keeping half their salary for such a trip would need 23 years of work to be able to afford this fare at that rate. In 2024, Minimum wage is £25 Same worker earning minimum wage and keeping half their salary to pay for this trip would need 83 years of work to be able to afford the average round trip fare today. |
I think eliminating that vitrol has given other aspects of Nairaland rebirth. It's a welcome development. I remembered when I contested in Nairaland Debate years back, when Fynestboi was still moderating that section. It was fun! |
seunmsg:Two people responded to my quote to speak against my opinion. One is you; the other is the fellow whose opinion got removed a few hours after. Such senseless vile is the reason the stupidity in that removed comment (or 'muddling up' as you like to excuse it for) needed to be eradicated. Invest your youthful energy for better causes.
|
seunmsg:It is not a sad thing. It is a good thing. This space is 70% toxin free as a result of the 'muddling up'. Use your productive youthful energy in impacting the society in the long run, not quick ejaculations here and there! |
It's a tricky situation you are in. From experience, I know co-workers tend to snitch when they can't or are conditioned not to freely express themselves . As a sole proprietor, he brought up that company to what it is today. It may not be easy convincing him that his decision making is faulty, especially if the company is progressing. He may perceive it as a challenge. The positive I can draw here is "Since he is not making you snitch on others, you're doing something right" What I would advise is; use your position to influence a psychologically safe work environment, where colleagues can freely express themselves, without needing to resort to snitching. That is a very unhealthy work habit that will ultimately breed chaos. I'm not sure how your workplace functions but you can look up this article to see how you can best implement it https://www.mckinsey.com/featured-insights/mckinsey-explainers/what-is-psychological-safety |
A class action is a legal proceeding in which one or more plaintiffs bring a lawsuit on behalf of a larger group, known as the class. Any proceeds from a class-action suit after legal fees, whether through a judgment or a settlement, are shared among all members of the class. Class-action lawsuits represent groups of individuals who may be customers, employees, investors, or patients with a similar legal claim against one or more defendants. OP, take a bold step and make money 😎 |
You no go gree make dem kill you nah 😑😑 |

He's about the only minister I admire, especially as his thirst for innovation has resulted in a number of policies targeted at improving the portfolio he oversees which includes clearing a heavy backlog of passports and implementing a new platform that would allow a renewing of one’s passport from the convenience of one’s home, amongst others However, since the 'Betta Edu' incident which fingered 'New Planet Project Limited,' a company he was a former director of as one of the receipients of the alleged illegal diversion of 585 million naira, a number of questionable information have surfaced, including his ownership of the company itself. He had since denied his involvement. One of such information that has refused to settle is his involvement in the NDDC 'off-your-mic' incident. Tunji-Ojo was at that time, the chairman of the House of Representatives committee on Niger Delta Development Commission that clashed with Godswill Akpabio, over allegations of corruption and mismanagement of funds in the commission. Akpabio had accused Tunji-Ojo and other members of the National Assembly of benefiting from contracts awarded by the NDDC. As a result, the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC requested that Tunji-Ojo should not preside over the probe as he had also been accused of “crime” against the commission. I'm certain a number of people missed this episode of the 'starboy' Minister. Not any more. Perhaps all was never as it seemed.

Vivian Rora? Who takes her seriously on twitter? 💀 |
It pleased me to see a young and united Ghana Youths speaking against the cancellation with zest. If it were in Nigeria today? You'd see an exchange between the 'aged' youths in support of the cancellation and the 'young' youths against the cancellation. And you'd know where to find corn seeds in abundance. |
frog12:These things are in public domain, Oga. Public Service Code of Conduct is a preserve of the Ministry of Interior Affairs. https://interior.gov.ng/media/1054/publicservicerules.pdf |
Judolisco:God should transform my life the way Obi transformed Anambra State, Amen! Amen! and Amen! |
frog12:There is no law in public service that prevents any public officer from being a shareholder of any company. Except it can be shown how he influenced the award of those funds to the said company, the directors will be more culpable before even the shareholders. |
