yet we have no replacements. . .

what about 20 ministers?

wait 20 years for their replacements?

Already we have some ANPP chaps saying the move was politically motivated.

Yar Adua's inaction(s) have left room for RUMOUR
Political as in, his own party recalled him, i heard the ANPP chairman-Ume-Eze wants his 15minutes of fame grin
and Sani Yerima wants his wife in too

what's the big fuss over how much they are paid they were not dragged or recruit to play for the country you know
there's so much emphasis on money in nigeria its unbelievable how we expect corruption to reduce to the barest minimum!
if they weren't paid the agreed bonus then perhaps you have something to be concerned or disappointed about
these girls will probably be welcomed by some big bellied LG/state govt official when they arrive with monies not budgeted for

Where is the motivation, reward,  just compare these girls to their European and American counterparts
and just compare the incomes of their respective FA with that of nigeria and also consider the source of the funds, whilst ours is coming straight from the govt theirs is made up almost entirely of private sponsors!
money shouldn't be the motivating factor especially for young players that want to go far
they'll end up being dejected

don't you think the players/sport bringing in the most revenue deserve the bigger share of investment and pay?

Vera okolo and akusobi got injured you know and please find out how the NFF and the government treated them
they ended up in germany with the NFF actually paying for their treatment and what's the big deal anyway the players play for professional clubsides, they need to brush up and get some insurance!! sign up for NHIS even!
Culture › Re: Obama From A Cultural Perspective by DisGuy: 2:58am On Nov 01, 2008
It wouldn't be so difficult for them to get a background information from google because they will quickly pull up tribal wars among Nigerians washing their dirty linen in public especially in Nairaland.
and we have our very own deepzone to thank for that
Culture › Re: Obama From A Cultural Perspective by DisGuy: 2:57am On Nov 01, 2008

Travel › Re: Building A Rapid Mass Transit System (Metro-Rail) In Lagos by DisGuy(mod): 2:34am On Nov 01, 2008
these obstacles are not imaginary mon ami they are there for all to see everyday
Most massive projects the world over and especially metro projects are undertaken by Governments and not by private enterprises
that's in the past and remember these countries have the human and financial resources to pull this off anyway, they don't need to import 'experts' or equipment; if they were to source funding from international bodies they have credibility consistent policies and capable leadership with traceable background
moreover, in recent times I doubt the British government for example will build anything without massive commitment from the private sector!

Midas02:
Who said anything about 18 months?? Development and growth is continuous and always costs money, what makes a great leader is resourcefulness - the ability to search deep into the plethora of options and resources available to the government (and by this I do not mean money alone), and find enterprising ways of financing, funding and advancing the means and aspirations of his/her people.
this current one has been there about 18months right?
the previous one got the paid and got the plan from investors
but the OBJ govt didn't approve it in the end

about funding, if you are not a Nigerian chances are you wont spend a kobo
getting involved with with anything long term in nigeria as everything is risky
and unpredictable, the opportunities for investment is amazing!! but ask yourself
why arent these big guys flocking in considering the returns and near zero tax*
very low labour etc. there are chances in a JV you will only be getting phase1 counterpart
funding after phase3 or three years after completion, you will probably be dealing with a new
minister every three months who has to see the president to sign documents personally!

Politics › Re: Why Did Yar'adua Drop Daggash? by DisGuy: 12:42am On Nov 01, 2008
no inside story yet but what's with daggash making it easier to open an account?
and daggash wasn't productively energetic he wasn't doing anything with his portfolio
apart from playing footsie with shamsudeen and mansur
he was quite vocal though-'we're are planning to do this and that which will translate to this and that
but you rarely see the effect for the common man- theory smarts- so many of them in Nigerian politics!

according to Daily trust Daggash wasn't happy with kingibe's exit

she's alrite, chics rarely sell in naija anyway
ive seen her videos on some naija stations n i reckon shes trying
get into the naija industry to be honest the market is not that ripe
they make money mainly from university and telecom shows
no statistics from album sales n that

talk less of one that is not talking about GOD, relationship, money and other naija-related issues

guys beware of what u read
can u imagine? when the world economy is suffering from economic meltdown, arent we supposed to be scared if anything goes wrong with our own financial system?
those NASB dudes should watch it!!
yea we are supposed to be cautious but at the same time we deserve the truth
there's obviously no smoke without fire and the banks can only help by being open
and following international best practises offering banking services instead of chasing
watery titles like biggest, best, first to do this whilst thousand can even get their money out

and it obviously takes time not 18months!!!
Sports › Re: Why Is The Female U-17 World Cup Not Shown? by DisGuy: 8:22pm On Oct 31, 2008
yes we won 2-1 against south Korea

2 lucky goals to gaffes by the defenders

loads of energy and strength as usual every little co-ordination/organisation especially in the midfield
they just keep shooting the ball towards the other goal keeper-this might be their plan though cheesy
the defenders just boot the ball in no particular direction

still trying to understand where Alison-Madueke will fit in, in a reshuffle
she doesn't appear to do much apart from talking the talk and laying the make-ups
environment will be her portion- she can talk her head off

I thought Charles Ugwu was doing an okay job considering lack of power to run the potential investments
as an industrialist he might be laying his own bed, I'm sure he'll have a field day now with all the contacts
he made

sanusi daggash is one manipulative sob, he should find his own job!

Halima Aloa does a lot of talking too, she's busy formulating policies and campaigns without enforcing any!
no single company's shut down for pollution in nigeria since last year

Sarafadeen Ishola is a wasteman

so much for each state being represented!

and why do some people think its cool to be anti Yoruba but not cool to be anti Igbo?

Can someone explain this puzzle.

Anytime there's an anti Yoruba thread some folks feel happy, but when the shoe is on the other foot, then it becomes persecution. Are Yorubas supposed to like being badmouthed?
cool

hey i think you should ask the mother who she's been playing footsie with cheesy

I'm still trying to understand the real allegation and this keyamo guy is not being helpful
he was one TV shouting at the top of his voice like the presenter is supposed to arrest the lawmakers
this guy is supposed to be a lawyer

is it that they didn't get what they ordered
they paid too much?
they didn't take up the discount?

to be honest it will be easier getting the ICPC to investigate rather than the same house of reps
